update the tracker! Gives those of us more of a peace of mind to see black interior orders with the Y columns for VINs...and then hopefully official delivery dates soon after!

This was my understanding as well. Similar to the 4680 batteries.

Wow, over 250 recorded orders on the tracker, yet still no black interior with a VIN assigned from forum members here in the US. This is wild. I wonder if there are any black interiors with VINs at all yet in the US period.

Agreed. If you are willing to pay for the upcharge to get the white paint, just use the amount you would've spent and use it towards the cost of getting it wrapped in a white pearl color that resembles Tesla's white. You get the white color you want, and some protection on the original paint...

Yes. A car is only assigned a VIN once it's built. The VIN is essentially a car's serial number for tracking purposes.
