    Supercharger - Corning (6 V2 stalls)

Yeah I’m sure Corning works well at off-peak times, but that does not mean it’s also fine on holiday weekends. Because everyone is charging at 50-60 kW, the Corning location has less ability to absorb a sudden spike of drivers arriving, compared to a fully functioning V3 station. This is also...

    Supercharger - Corning (6 V2 stalls)

This location is still not doing very well. On Saturday morning in memorial day traffic, there was a ~30-60 minute wait and a broken stall (1B), while the nav reported 2 open stalls and no wait. Everyone on the V2 stalls was getting ~110kW for a few minutes before it dropped to ~50kW. It is...

    Supercharger - San Francisco, CA - Geary Blvd. (LIVE 20 May 2021, 16 V3 + 18 Urban stalls)

Heads up the L2 and Urban (72 kW) chargers are not working currently. They appear to have lost power after the parking lot flooded a few weeks ago.

Supercharger - South San Francisco, CA - Oyster Point Blvd. (construction Mar 2024)

All the dispensers have been in the ground for some time now. I believe the dispensers have power because the latching mechanism works. However charging is disabled. Cabinets are still covered and there are work trucks throughout the site.

Supercharger - Pleasanton, CA - Hopyard Rd (under construction Dec 2023, 24 V4 stalls)

No changes since the previous post. There is an empty concrete pad next to the transformer. Anyone know what that might be for?

    How define spot for parking?

Can you post a photo of the parking spot? Since you are using tape, it's easy to experiment with different line patterns. For example, other shapes like a rectangle, or marking the adjacent parking spots even if you do not plan to use autopark on them. Hope you can find a line pattern that...

Don't understand this used car market ...so many used Model Y's for higher prices

Another thing to consider is some people are willing to pay a premium to have the car right away (rather than wait weeks/months to get it from Tesla) Also list price is not necessarily the selling price. The buyer might negotiate a lower price and these sites would not know.

Any Model Y Supercharging Cost Calculators

IMO the charging fees are accurate, the main source of error would be ABRP’s ability to estimate your consumption. I would suggest making sure the weather and driving speed are set realistically.

    Model Y Tire Question

Tires are tires, Tesla buys them from the same companies as everyone else. If you need winter tires in your area for your current car, you’ll likely need them on a Tesla or any other new car as well.

Serious ordering issues (4 months in, 1 car payment, no car)

I agree, I was hoping the bank would realize there is nothing to repossess should OP default on the loan. Maybe they would suggest a situation where OP could stop paying, eg bank asks Tesla to refund the money.

Serious ordering issues (4 months in, 1 car payment, no car)

Also, it’s not worth legal action at this point. Imo you still have plenty you can do by escalating the issue with the bank and Tesla, preferably in writing and showing that you are collecting a paper trail. (At many companies, customer service is trained to ignore ppl who threaten to sue - they...

Serious ordering issues (4 months in, 1 car payment, no car)

Have you explained the situation to the bank? Jeff has a good point, I would emphasize that you don’t know the VIN anymore. It aligns your interests and the bank’s interests. They might be able to suggest a way to stop the payments if that is a concern, eg Tesla refunds the order and bank...

Redesign? New frunk, headlights and power trunk?

just an educated guess - Two cars in the garage at the beginning, the “new design” car is clearly a model Y. Channel’s other videos show a recent Y delivery but not 3. The narrator never actually says that he’s showing the new frunk design on a model 3.

In case anyone else runs across this frunk comparison on YouTube. It’s fake - the car in the back is a model Y.

Why I'll Use the ICE Car For Vacation

Just to satisfy my curiosity I did the same route with chademo allowed. There is a Francis Energy station not too far off 40 which saves only 1h17m compared to a detour to the Lowell, AR supercharger. (It would have saved more, except the chademo adapter is soooo slow, which eats up some of the...

QC Issues -- Leaking roof/rear hinge seal

How many Y’s do you think they have sold so far? If we assume 15k/mo, which seems to be roughly the average of model 3 sales: 15k units * 4 months = 60k units even if literally every other vehicle has no leak (assume all leaks are reported on this forum), we have still observed at least 1 in...

    Call support 24/7?

I believe this won't happen as long as the DC to DC (HV to 12V) is still working. It will automatically charge the 12V from the traction battery. It sounds like OP has a problem with the dc input part of the PCS or supercharger location.

    Model Y 5G Chip Included?

The downsides of adopting new cell models early is they tend to cost more & the bugs aren’t worked out yet. With 5G specifically, there’s not much upside as others have pointed out in this thread. So I think it makes sense to pick the older part.

Model Y spottings: the good, the bad, and the ugly

Went back to find the VINs. White one is roughly 3,000 and gray is 400. (VINs rounded to the nearest hundred) Also here are some more images of a May delivery that I spotted at a public charger. The VIN is approx 4800 which is higher than the other two. It seems like rear hatch alignment...

Model Y spottings: the good, the bad, and the ugly

The Ugly Disclaimer: this one had a manufacturer plate. I'm guessing / hoping it is a pre-production vehicle. The weird part about this car is that the trunk looks okay on the passenger side. But it's installed lopsided, so the driver's side doesn't seal all the way. Could almost fit my finger...

Street parking a Tesla in San Francisco -- bad idea?

Hi all, I am considering a Model 3, but I don't have a garage. Does anyone live near Potrero Hill and park their Tesla on the street long-term? Are the dents, window smashings, etc inevitable? Thanks!
