    Very Satisfied Customer

Sounds like you had a great experience - this sentence confuses me though, surely at other dealers the upselling etc. only happens when you're ordering the car not collecting it (at least that's my experience)?

Will FSD be a reality within the Model 3's lifetime?

True FSD (in the UK) is at least 10 years off, maybe even 20. Within 10 years the technology should be sorted but laws/regulations/insurance issues etc. will take far longer to sort.

Paint advice please - bare spots

It's not difficult to paint a car properly in this day and age, it's not just the premium German manufacturers that manage it. They're clearly just cutting corners and not giving a crap as they have so much demand at the moment they don't need to. I'm just glad I'm leasing...

    Sentry Mode works

Ugh, what a scumbag. The only positive thing really is your insurance covering the damage. Finding out his name and shaming him probably wouldn't do much, he doesn't look like someone that would care too much about that. I also doubt the police would do much, if the CPS did prosecute it would...

    Noob home charging questions

Does the M3 have any protection built in to stop you driving off with it still plugged in? I have to say I'm slightly nervous about doing this first thing on a Monday morning...

    My car is gone...:/

Sadly at the moment Tesla is very much still a technology-led company and as such they have been given a lot of leeway over customer service shortcomings as a result. As time goes on though, if and when real alternatives become available, I think they're going to end up regretting not focusing a...

Model 3 Performance - without performance pack vs with performance pack

Hah yeah missed that entirely, thanks for the clarification. I wondered why my Octopus lease quote today was £20-30/month more than I was expecting

Model 3 Performance - without performance pack vs with performance pack

Have Tesla changed the UK spec options again? Unless I'm imagining it I thought that after last big change in the configurator when you selected the Performance option you then also could select the performance pack as an add-on (hence P- and P+ ). But when I look today the Performance option...

    M3 P+ Depreciation

FSD should not be a factor in anyone's decision making around residual value in 3 years - it will NOT happen in anywhere close to that time frame. To date Tesla's are doing better than I would have expected on residuals and I don't see why the M3 would be different (in fact it will likely have...

    Model 3 Leasing UK

I can see why they'd not be pushing hard for new business but I can't believe they'd not be looking for it - it's not as though it costs them a huge amount to start a new lease process. That said it does look sensible to hold off getting quotes for the time being until things settle down, then...

    Teslas And Cold Weather

Yeah that might help but in my current car there's a ridiculous amount of condensation on a cold morning, I would have thought even cabin pre-heat would struggle to get rid of it unless running for an hour or so!

    Teslas And Cold Weather

Related to cold weather - does the M3 have any windscreen condensation issues? It's a pet hate of mine in my current ICE and I remember seeing in one YouTube M3 review clip it was mentioned. Just wondering if it was an isolated issue (perhaps dodgy seals) on that specific M3 or if it's a more...

    Salary Sacrifice

It looks like they already changed the rules back in 2017 (before then any car qualified for the full tax relief but since then only ULEVs do, however the tax relief was carried through to 2021 for people already doing it so I would hope if the rules changed again it would also not affect people...

    Salary Sacrifice

This is interesting, I'd never heard about it before. It sounds a good idea still for EVs but although there's plenty of companies offering to do it as a managed full service (inc. insurance, servicing and roadside recovery) I'm still not sure what the pricing would be or how to calculate it :(...

    Second thoughts on FSD

I can't see the point is spec'ing FSD either, sure if it's just a tick-box option for someone that doesn't care about another £5k here or there but otherwise it really doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Maybe if you were a gambler, purchasing out-right and intending to keep the car for 10+ years...
