    New Model 3 Performance news

I test drove the M3P (2024) today and sorry to say boys but compared to my current M3P (2020) the acceleration from 0 - 100 felt exactly the same. I would know too, considering how often I give the car a boot. It's a real shame we don't get the better battery :( The handling feels better...

    Australian Model 3 highland accessories

That's a huge call. I love one-pedal driving and can't imagine driving the Tesla without it. Driving an ICE and having to constantly ride the brake pedal feels wrong. I honestly hope your experience of no stalks is common. I'll come back to this discussion in ~6 months from now and tell my past...

    Australian Model 3 highland accessories

Is it better though? For me it's not a show-stopper, but when I test drove the highland I didn't like it for the following reasons. When doing a quick turn (eg. lane change) the signal stalk is reliably always in the same location and can be reflexively actuated in the time it takes you to...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

I also paid the deposit within hour(s?) of the announcement for the M3P. They plan to deliver them in Q3 of this year (July to Sept). Tesla have historically delivered in quarterly waves. This means (and from my own past experiences of 2 Tesla deliveries) they will likely deliver the cars to us...

    New Model 3 Performance news

You can see the tacky side panels I'm talking about in the SR/LR 2024 model too.

    New Model 3 Performance news

Go and have a look at it in person. The white interior for 2024 model 3's have big white plastic panels where the Alcantara is for the black interior. Those white panels look and feel tacky imo. I've changed my order to black interior.

I meant it was a safer colour in respect to the colour dating or going out of fashion. Not literal safety.

I've enagaged lawyers in an attempt to recover FSD cost (Australian owner)

I spoke to Tesla sales about this and they said there is no offer for FSD transfer anymore. That was offered only for deliveries received prior to end of March.

I've enagaged lawyers in an attempt to recover FSD cost (Australian owner)

Update on Dispute with Tesla Regarding Full Self-Driving (FSD) Charges Attached is the complete exchange between my lawyers and Tesla. Summary: Tesla has declined responsibility for not delivering the FSD feature, resulting in no refund being offered (see attached). Consequently, I have...

I ordered the red with white seats M3P.... I'm having second thoughts. I love the red right now, but I hope I keep liking it. Ive never owned a red car before. I really like the silver and its also a safer colour.

I've enagaged lawyers in an attempt to recover FSD cost (Australian owner)

Quick update. I had written a detailed update but decided not to post it as things are still unfolding, and not much point giving too much info if things can change in an instant. But in short... Tesla refused to provide a refund for their own manufactured reasons without addressing our main...

2022 model 3 RWD red lines on rear window

I know that older models have the lines as 3-sided concentric squares. Newer models have the lines (like yours). So don't be surprised if you find that some models may be different to yours.

2022 model 3 RWD red lines on rear window

It's not a problem. Those demister lines/tracks have always looked like that but you've never noticed it. The lines look no different whether the demister is on or off. Cabin overheat has nothing to do with them.

I've enagaged lawyers in an attempt to recover FSD cost (Australian owner)

Quick update. I haven't heard back from Tesla yet. Still waiting. Good news for me is that the lawyers who are handling my case feel strongly that we can win if it goes all the way through. Plus, they're family and are handling my case pro bono.

"willing to transfer the product you didn't get to a product that doesn't exist" hahahaha! At no point did I say I wasn't a sucker.... :p Seriously though, I added the condition "if there were an indication of when FSD would be coming out". I don't believe Tesla would ever give a firm date on...

I've enagaged lawyers in an attempt to recover FSD cost (Australian owner)

    1. Yes it was. In fact, it wouldn't be a clever move to buy FSD at time of the car purchase because then it would be subject to the taxes that are associated with the purchase. 2. Around the time I purchased my car (and then FSD) the website stated something like "coming later this year" and...

I've enagaged lawyers in an attempt to recover FSD cost (Australian owner)

I would be open to a transfer if there were some indication of when FSD would be coming out. I would expect to keep the new Tesla for 4 years and would love to have FSD for at least half that time. The transfer is only available until end of this quarter, but I plan to buy the new Highland 3...

I've had my Tesla Model 3 for 4 years and am ready to sell it [to get another Tesla], but I know I won't be getting much for FSD and am really bummed that I had purchased FSD, waited for 4 years, and never got it before selling the car. Tesla Software updates - Australia

WTB: HPWC Tesla wall charger in Sydney

WTB: HPWC Tesla wall charger in Sydney

I've got a Model 3 and had no idea my UMC could go up to 7kWh. TIL. I was planning on installing a 48A circuit for the HPWC to get the full 11kWh, but now I need to consider if I could just be happy with the 32A tail + UMC. Although 32A should give me ~7.7kWh, not 7kWh.

    Headrest shatters vanity mirror

The visor itself will need to be replaced as I dont think there is a way to replace only the glass. If you ask your SC nicely they may do it under warranty. Although, im not sure if they are obligated to.

    Headrest shatters vanity mirror

Just noticed my driver side one is cracked in exactly the same way. I can't imagine Tesla covering it under warranty, so I will likely need to have it fixed at cost to me. Does anyone know if it's possible to only change the mirror? My assumption is the whole visor will need to be changed.

    NSW EV Warning label

Unpopular opinion? I think they are ugly and I hate that I have to put an ugly blue sticker on my premium white on black number plates on a white car. As Emergency Response you should already know which cars are all electric (ie. Tesla), it's a big part of the job and I would question if they...

Soft Closing Doors - Model 3

Did you end up getting a replacement? Do these soft closers still work when the door is slammed? The kids love to slam the doors and they never listen (or forget) when I ask them not to. So slamming is going to be a frequent occurrence. Im hoping this kit will fix this!

    Door close rattle

I have this too. More noticeable on the passenger door (RHD car). I pulled apart the door to see if I could find and fix the issue. Energy bill after Powerwall installation

Thanks for the explanation. It makes sense. I have all circuits for all 3 phases on a sub-board in the house with enough room for the Gateway2 if needed, but the solar panel connections are beside the outdoor meter box (not the inverter, i've got microinverters sitting under each panel). Tesla Model 3 in Australia

FYI, I did some testing on an SR+ for aircon usage. Expect to lose 2% (+/- 0.5%) for each hour you have the aircon running. This was testing a few times overnight with 2 people sleeping in the car. The variation is based on inside temperature being warmer than outside (so the A/C was cooling). I...
