    Supercharger - Niagara Falls, ON

Thanks!! Definitely a V3 Tesla Supercharger based on this - 12 liquid pedestals can only mean V3. Also, not sure if it was well known that they are using Powerpacks as part of Supercharger V3 setup, but the shipping label confirms it since there is a controller for one.

    Atlantic Canada Superchargers

I'm sorry, St. John's to where now?

    Supercharger - Wawa, ON

It's listed as officially open on the Tesla website: Wawa, ON Supercharger | Tesla Canada You could always try phoning SPG to explicitly confirm, but gut feel would be yes on this one.

    Supercharger - Niagara Falls, ON

Excellent, thanks! Next time you're there, can you please try and get pictures of any labels or paper taped to those green boxes if possible? I see that something is taped on there right now, it may contain useful details about this charger.

Tesla in Park suddenly moved forward [air temp 33, snow on ground, parked on incline, OEM tires]

This literally made me laugh out loud. You have very clearly never lived in a northern climate, particularly one where block heaters are in common use, otherwise you would be familiar with extension cords dangling behind cars and left in the middle of the road because people forget to unplug...

    Supercharger - Whitewood, SK

That "Staff parking only" signage is a bit confusing - I'm guessing it predates all the chargers along that wall. Also amused by the lefthand charging station sign which is nowhere near a charging station. Is there any external indication which of those chargers is 10 vs 16? Or are you...

    Supercharger - Baldwin (Espanola), ON

I don't think so - the snow is still there and undisturbed, and it looks like there has been very little snow based on the amount behind the pedestals. Looking closely at the image, you can see black marks on the bollard at the same height as the black marks on the damaged pedestal - I suspect...

    Supercharger - Niagara Falls, ON

Right - but my point is, previously these have been white as well, and the transformer was done differently e.g.:

    Supercharger - Niagara Falls, ON

If this is a Tesla Supercharger, then I would be inclined to agree that it is most likely a V3 - but this is a pretty different layout then we've seen on other V3s in Canada so far. For one thing the cabinets aren't white - for another, the half-height vented box is now 3/4 height and notably...

    Mid-Canada Superchargers

That naming convention is surprisingly inconsistent - Davidson SK SC is at the Riverbend Co-op (ID davidsoncoopsupercharger), and the Dryden ON SC is at the Red River Co-op (ID drydenredriversupercharger). You would think they would either have Riverbend in the Davidson ID or Co-op in the Dryden...

    Mid-Canada Superchargers

Ahh, interesting - good to know, I don't have specific experience with Tesla's APIs and naming conventions, I was thinking more in general terms. I also missed that this was specific to the new chargers - I thought this renaming might have included a bunch of old existing Superchargers, less...

    Mid-Canada Superchargers

From a software development perspective, you can break a lot of things and piss off a lot of people if you change IDs which are assumed to be immutable and unchanging. I'm guessing there was an issue and they reverted to the previous IDs so as not to break anything downstream.

    Canadian CHAdeMO charging

Wow, that showed up a lot faster than I expected - great to see!

From the London, ON Supercharger thread: Supercharger - London, ON

    Supercharger - Brandon, MB

Let's hope this is just an early stage glitch - if failing at that temperature becomes a common occurrence then these will be quite useless in much of Canada during the winter.

    SuperCharger - North Bay, ON

Google translate didn't quite get that translation right.

    Canadian CHAdeMO charging

Fantastic! Glad to hear that - reduces the likelihood of unsuspecting drivers getting stranded in that stretch.

    SuperCharger - North Bay, ON

Agree as well - I had no idea where the hell Baldwin was until I looked it up on a map, but Espanola is a well-known waypoint on the drive between Southern Ontario and Thunder Bay. Unfortunate naming choice on Tesla's part.
  19. D

Supercharger - Sault Ste Marie, ON

No typo - North Bay (that's my assumption when reading the original message)
  20. D

    Supercharger - Baldwin (Espanola), ON

As an update, based on a post to the North Bay Supercharger thread it looks like this Supercharger (which is now showing up in the Tesla app and on the car map, albeit as temporarily closed) may actually be called Baldwin, ON by Tesla:
  21. D

    SuperCharger - North Bay, ON

Baldwin? Interesting - I guess that's what they are officially calling the Espanola charger?
  22. D

Supercharger - Sault Ste Marie, ON

Just double-checked the website and these are all still shown as coming soon, so it seems the in-car map is more up-to-date than the website map.

    Supercharger - Deep River, ON

Somebody just posted a video of the inside of the box on PlugShare: ;)

Tesla in Park suddenly moved forward [air temp 33, snow on ground, parked on incline, OEM tires]

OK, I'm posting the videos I have of my Model 3 self-driving toboggan. Weather conditions were ~5cm of snow in the last 12h on a completely clean and snow/ice-free driveway, temperature -2C (just below freezing) 11:28am: arrived home with two kids and everybody exits the vehicle (in retrospect...

Tesla in Park suddenly moved forward [air temp 33, snow on ground, parked on incline, OEM tires]

In my situation described above, tire traction was definitely an issue - the rear wheel was locked while the car slid down the driveway, so the brake was definitely engaged and there was nothing interfering with it and causing the rear wheels to rotate.

Tesla in Park suddenly moved forward [air temp 33, snow on ground, parked on incline, OEM tires]

No worries, I didn't think you were suggesting that - I was just giving more background on the entire situation because it was quite a surprising one for me (which is why I went searching for forum posts about this topic and found this one). I don't think there are any faulty components in my...

Tesla in Park suddenly moved forward [air temp 33, snow on ground, parked on incline, OEM tires]

Parking brake was definitely engaged - as noted above, when I saw it slide the second time I visually confirmed that the rear tire was not turning and that front tire was, which is consistent with a parking brake on the rear wheels only. I also posted a picture showing the slide pattern left by...

Tesla in Park suddenly moved forward [air temp 33, snow on ground, parked on incline, OEM tires]

In my situation, waiting in the car would have done nothing - the car began to slide 4 minutes after everybody exited the vehicle and we were all well in the house by that time. I have exact times because I caught the whole thing on my Nest camera (I went back and checked to see if I had done...

Tesla in Park suddenly moved forward [air temp 33, snow on ground, parked on incline, OEM tires]

You are correct, every other vehicle up to this point has been FWD - and I have definitely noticed driving differences in this vehicle due to the RWD (such as not accelerating around a corner in slippery conditions as you would with FWD). This feels like the kind of thing that is fixable with a...

Tesla in Park suddenly moved forward [air temp 33, snow on ground, parked on incline, OEM tires]

There's always somebody on the Internet that feels that they need to respond to a post like this by reciting the manual or basic troubleshooting tips, in order to blame the original poster and make them feel like an idiot. It's common to software forums and car forums alike it seems. Suffice it...

Supercharger - Sault Ste Marie, ON

I haz a sad :( This does make me wonder if they can enable and disable these Superchargers remotely - perhaps this means we will see massive simultaneous activation? I hate the waiting game. It's boring. And the first person to tell me to stay calm can have two middle fingers for their trouble. :D

Tesla in Park suddenly moved forward [air temp 33, snow on ground, parked on incline, OEM tires]

I have just had an occurrence of exactly this today. My Model 3 was parked on my driveway, me and the kids got out of the car, and a few minutes later it slid down the driveway onto the road by itself. After noticing that the car was on the road rather than in the driveway where I had left it, I...

Supercharger - Sault Ste Marie, ON

North Bay was open briefly and then turned off again - is it possible for somebody in SSM to verify whether this Supercharger is still functional as well please? /cc @MacLeodMX

    SuperCharger - North Bay, ON

Woo! ...Kinda? Interesting that the throughput rate is so low at the moment - sounds like they are still working out the kinks.

    Priorities 2020

I have a feeling that, after the major capital expenditure that is the V3 Trans-Canada rollout, that we will see much smaller-scale things for the next year or two given the pending ramp up in Model Y and Semi and Cybertruck which are likely to absorb much of Tesla's capital. I wouldn't be...

    Supercharger - Chicoutimi, QC

Inclined to agree - I thought the same thing looking at that, but thought it might be a bit too speculative to post (vs the cable thickness which is more easily visually verifiable). However since you've posted that, I'm quite happy to agree with it now :D
  37. D

    SuperCharger - North Bay, ON

That's definitely Tesla-specific equipment - I see the Tesla T logo stamped in black on one of the corners of the shipping crate
  38. D

    Supercharger - Chicoutimi, QC

When I stare at the picture with the pedestals in it for a bit, I notice that the closest pedestal seems to have a very thick cable (almost as thick as the adapter at the end) and I am going to guess a V2 based on that.
  39. D

    Supercharger - Abbotsford, BC

The short cabinets you took pictures of have been seen at all of the V3 supercharger sites being built on the Trans-Canada - they are also accompanied by taller cabinets which contain more equipment, and those are probably the cabinets you are thinking of. I don't know if I've seen these short...

    Supercharger - Ignace, ON

Looks like there is still more work to be done - the farthest-away pedestal in this picture has pretty obvious separation between the silver post and the white cover, which implies it is only loosely held together at the moment because more wiring is expected to be done
  41. D

    Supercharger - Ignace, ON

Thanks! Happen to notice a big green transformer?
  42. D

    Supercharger - Ignace, ON

Looks like no meter is installed yet, and covers are still on some of the cabinets - still a bit of work to do at this one.
  43. D

    Supercharger - Baldwin (Espanola), ON

did you see an empty concrete pad which look like it was waiting for a transformer? I've seen pole-mounted overhead transformers at some sites, and I haven't yet seen an empty concrete pad in Espanola pictures, so I'm wondering if the pole mounted ones on the extreme right of this image are the...

    Supercharger - Chicoutimi, QC

Looks like yes - the cabinets in the last set of pictures are V3 Supercharger cabinets

    Supercharger - Regina, SK

Sounds similar to what just happened in North Bay ON, except the Model X was there for 4 days: SuperCharger - North Bay, ON
  46. D

    Supercharger - Blind River ON

Sweet! That means that Hydro One is now in the process of pushing transformers out to all of their Ontario sites, which is an excellent sign for them coming online sooner rather than later. Thanks!
  47. D

    Supercharger - Blind River ON

Thanks for dropping by - did you by chance notice if there was a transformer there? It would have been on a stand-alone pedestal to the left of all of the white cabinets, on the empty concrete pad in the centre of this picture:
  48. D

    SuperCharger - North Bay, ON

Unfortunate but not unexpected - thanks for checking in on that!
