A large Ditch Witch ”vacuum excavation” unit has arrived on site. According to the operator’s manual I found online, it can be used for “soft excavation, including exposing utilities for visual verification and potholing”. I’m also guessing that it can clean that Honey Bucket lickety-split. :)...

Other than the conduit arriving on site, not much progress to report. These photos were taken on Sunday, May 23rd.

I went back for another look. Without a doubt, the crew is running conduit between the transformer location and a subterranean service box/vault next to the sidewalk. They were also running pull tape through the new conduit.
