Ah - I answered my own question. Permit : Tesla has submitted a permit/plan/application for a specific address.

On the supercharge.info map, the status says: PERMIT. I wonder what that means - that it's awaiting a permit, or that it has a permit but that it's not yet under construction?

The yoke and stalkless design are fantastic. I realize some drivers are stuck in the past and habits are hard to break. For this old-timer, it took about 1 minute for me to get used to the new design. I love it.

Maybe because live in northern New Mexico, or because I drive in Chill mode ;), but I just never have the need to toot my horn. Although a couple of days ago an a**hole cut me off and I felt I needed to let him know my dissatisfaction - the one finger salute was not enough!

I like the horn placement on the yoke. I rarely use a horn, but it’s nice not having to move my hand to reach a center horn - I just have to stretch out my thumb. Yes, after 50 years of driving my muscle memory was set on a center horn, but it’s just a matter of retraining that habit. Not so hard.

Re that $3,000 credit or Free SuperCharging if you trade in a Tesla on a new S or X, I contacted a Loyalty Advisor last week as I was trading in my 2020 M3, and the response was “we do not have any current rebates for trading in a Model 3.”

I don’t know guys, but I love the yoke. One finger turns, and it’s so comfortable to rest your hands on. It took maybe a couple of minutes to get used to the turn signals. And I love the clear view of the dash info. YMMV, but the yoke is a winner in my book.
