I didn't really have to project manage and most people don't if they have the time to wait and aren't worried about Tesla going dark during the scheduling. I guess when there isn't a sales guy on the other end making 20% of your order things move a little slower.

I have SolarEdge 'HD Wave' SE 3800H. I swear I'm only getting shading on a couple of panels but my output drops to 0.2kW around 10:30am. I suppose there's no way of finding out if I truly have optimizers and even then, what use they are? Can they be misconfigured in software?

When did Tesla start using Optimizers? I had a small install in March and from what I know it's all standard string with no optimizers. Shame for me as I'm getting significant shading on just a couple of panels that's killing my production in the mornings now.

Same for me. Upon install Solar was reporting half what it should and so my home usage got very confused (that's where there isn't a CT so it needs to compute from Grid, Solar, and PW). Tesla supported needed to add a flag to the GW to double the CT. Seems to work fine.

A solar system is likely at least a 10 year investment. I love local businesses too but I would factor in the likelihood of needing install and other workmanship issues. Personally I had no issues with a Tesla install. Installers were flexible to all my requests. Didn't charge more for conduit etc.
