I got some snaps in more appealing lighting conditions. 2 different colors.

Lower the rear. It will ride better too ironically. What's your hub to fender measurement front to rear? Can you check that in millimeters for me?

Ray's VMF C-01 FORGED (Face 3) @26lbs each 20x9 +25 with AP Brakes and MPP 2 piece rears. 255/35/20 PZ4's I added a 5mm spacer in front and 3mm in rear. It's not needed but I'm running slightly more camber up front so I wanted to test out the fitment. Literally the worst time of day to take...

    UP vs MPP Coilover

We had this issue with a client from a snowy area as well. I don't think the UP kit has enough stroke, not to mention coil bind and all kinds of other things that needed to be sorted. It's hard to keep track of what revision they are on. I think they changed the way the front spring...

    UP vs MPP Coilover

1000% agree on the off the shelf kit. The Redwood Ohlins kit is far better tbh and great on the street. I don't think they've produced a kit for the track as yet that can compete with the MPP Sports valving though. Don't fret though, the Ohlins off the shelf vs MPP Sports test is coming...

    Tein EnduraPro Plus - Review

Tein is moving away from individual shocks per se and are now selling them as a 4 piece package, hence the new part #'s. It will sort itself out once they move through the inventory.
  9. P3D-R

Tein Flex Z front shock mount

Yes lots of familiarity. I was likely the first one to test out those dampers. The biggest issue I see is the lowering springs. They tend to settle a lot so even Eibach for example settles a lot more than they publish. You'll have a 2 finger gap to start and then eventually it drops to a 1...

Tein Flex Z front shock mount

I'm happy to answer any Model 3 questions you might have. Just keep in mind the Teins settle a goo 10-15mm from your starting point and it happens pretty fast. Within 500 to 1000 miles. Much faster than I've seen on suspension with "higher quality" springs. There is about a 1" difference...

Tein Flex Z front shock mount

I linked to 255/40/21 and 275/40/21 if you want to look that up.

Tein Flex Z front shock mount

See if they can change it for this. Just slightly taller than factory but will be better for your range as well. I also tried looking at all the various offerings for wider setups...
  13. P3D-R

Tein Flex Z front shock mount

That front tire is really tall. It might rub the front of the fender liner when you turn the steering wheel. That's what happened to me with the same tire diameter but wider. Maybe this case will be different. If you can change it to 255/40/21 that would be better, if it's made.

Tein Flex Z front shock mount

    This might help you Santiago.
  15. P3D-R

Tein Flex Z front shock mount

Not true. There's 2 spanners. A smaller one and a bigger one but we will use a punch to get them to lock up on all perches. We only use the spanners to adjust the height in the front. I find it easier to just pull the whole perch out rather than trying to wrestle with it. half inch means...

    Tein flex Z awd

This isn't on the Model 3 but it pretty much tells you how to install the Flex Z and what to do since the 3 and Y are virtually the same. This video should be very helpful on torque specs and best practices. Make sure you check those top nuts. 20 ft-lbs is the torque spec on them. They may...

One month turn around on my 2023 MYP and it's been lowered with 2 sets of wheels. LOL.

Got some new shoes on the 2023 Model Y Performance. Literally got this thing a month ago and in that time I've lowered it and gone through two sets of wheels. LOL. These are 20x10.5 with 285/35/20 all around. Probably a 1.5" drop from stock performance height. Rides pretty good. Better that...

Tein Flex Z front shock mount

It does provide a range but I gave him some specific values to shoot for as a token of my gratitude for supporting us. He got some spacers too so I wanted it to be specific to his needs.

20mm wheel spacers for 2022 Model 3 Performance with uberturbines

I was just referring to someone else's comment to confirm they are stepped for the P hub so have 2 centerbores. They all should be but someone mentioned that might be the cause for the problem. I would just go to a tire shop or something and ask them. Even an auto parts store.

20mm wheel spacers for 2022 Model 3 Performance with uberturbines

I have seen this problem before and it's important to see if the 10mm rotor retaining bolt was removed. Can you check to see if your rotor retaining bolts were removed before spacer installation? That is critical item to inspect. Another one that the guys mentioned above is to show us the...

    New wheels: P3D 20" vs 19" SSR GTX01 with 265's

You can do 255's but finding the correct tire diameter will be challenging. Either it's shorter or it's taller than factory OD.
  23. P3D-R

Tein Flex Z front shock mount

I would set the rear softer by 2 to 3 clicks and see how that works for you. I rarely find on these types of coilovers that you can run the same clicks front to rear. I always find that a faster rebound works better in the rear. MPP on the other hand works great at similar values front and rear.
  24. P3D-R

Tein Flex Z front shock mount

Hopefully I've answered your question above with links to the alignment sheets but in short 1. The front camber has very minimal change between stock height and a 35-40mm drop. Maybe one degree over that distance. So if stock is -0.5 you might end up at -1.5 on an AWD 3. 2. The rear being...
  25. P3D-R

Tein Flex Z front shock mount

I have a ton of experience on the Flex Z's. I was probably the first one outside of Tein's independent testing to receive the kits for testing. I just didn't talk about them because I go through a serious vetting period before opening up about anything. I had them on the model 3 for 5 to 6...
  26. P3D-R

Tein Flex Z front shock mount

I consider rear camber arms compulsory because they only take a few minutes per side to install when doing coilovers that we wouldn't even charge if we provided the parts. It always sucks when we get to alignment and then the customer realizes he should have gotten the camber arms except now we...

    Tein EnduraPro Plus - Review

I would check your sway bar end links if you have clunking. As for the bumpstops they are not needed due to the internal bumpstop but only there to retain the dustboots if you want them. We also cut our bumpstops down.

Going crazy about Performance brakes? [Tesla using caliper covers on rear brakes of Y performance after supplier switch]

Agreed it is not in Tesla fashion to be specific but they were explicit that it is a performance upgraded brake system. They should have just left that out altogether.
  29. P3D-R

Going crazy about Performance brakes? [Tesla using caliper covers on rear brakes of Y performance after supplier switch]

The primary argument is that Tesla alludes to the fact that there is a difference between the Long Range and the Performance model brakes, which no longer is the case. Secondly, logic would dictate that they would also make the change to the Model 3 Performance which they have not. The P3D...

Going crazy about Performance brakes? [Tesla using caliper covers on rear brakes of Y performance after supplier switch]

I started this post earlier today but got tied up at work. One whole page of responses has already passed so I apologize if some of this info is redundant. I see a few publications misquoting the tweets because the thread is simply way too long. At the end of this reply you will see a link to a...

    Tein EnduraPro Plus - Review

Check out the video @TacoSteve and I made together on the EnduraPro Plus. This was comparing it between our 2 Y's. He spent a good amount of time messing with the damping to get his to a happy place. I hope the video somewhat demonstrates the difference in bobble head action. It's also a...

    Model Y lowering springs

Looks great Tom. Can you measure hub to fender for me please? HR published 1.7" front and 1.4" rear which I like better than the reverse rake on Eibach. My concern being compression stroke on the shocks though. In your opinion how is the ride? I've known HR to settle a lot in a year so...

Going crazy about Performance brakes? [Tesla using caliper covers on rear brakes of Y performance after supplier switch]

Dang I'm famous. Those are my hands!!!!!!! I can't believe how viral this went on twitter. LOL. So many people argue the function but that's not the point. The point is that old lesser expensive models got Brembo rear calipers and the new ones do not but they are marketed as a Performance...

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

Model Y Gemini Wheels on Model 3 Performance/Can it be done?

We just did this on one of our cars when we changed from track alignment to street alignment. Hopefully this is permitted. If not feel free to remove. I thought this might be informative. We used 15mm Aspira studded spacers with some 255/40/19 tires all around. Keep in mind we have...

Definitely take it back to the shop. If the situation aligns with their install then you should go back to them. What air suspension did you get?

    Suspension from 2023 M3 RWD

If he confirmed he has a 2022+ RWD car then it is a LFP battery. Tesla part #'s can be a bit tricky as well because they have lots of revisions.

    Suspension from 2023 M3 RWD

What XPsionic mentioned is exactly what I told you on the phone Venu. Please have faith in all the information I am providing to you. Most other shops who don't specialize in Tesla would have just done as you asked out of ignorance and then all your money would have been wasted. Because the...

Ohlins coilover vs. MPP Comfort Coilover comparison

I'm not sure if you're referring to their standard kit but I just want to clarify something for the people who might misinterpret this statement. UP does NOT USE DFV on their standard kits. I'm not trying to take away from the product but it used to be very misleading. They updated their...

Ohlins coilover vs. MPP Comfort Coilover comparison

That's gonna be a tough one honestly. I have a friend up here that was the original vehicle they installed their coils on. I don't think it's a substantial enough difference with their performance sport version and I never tried their grand touring setup. That might give you that floatier...

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

The tein coilovers settle a lot so keep that in mind as well. You're pretty aggressive in the rear fitment so whatever camber it takes to fit that. The front upper megan arms you really didn't need. There's hardly any camber gain there from the factory when lowering. Personally I'm not a fan...

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

My pleasure. Looks great. DM me your alignment or share it here. I'm curious where it ended up. If you haven't done it yet please don't wait too long. You'll kill your tires due to having a lot of toe out up front when you lower it that much.

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

Hey gigg, Please advise what you are lowered with: Is it -1.5 front camber and -1.8 rear camber or is that rear camber left and right? If you haven't purchased rear camber arms you need those first and foremost. Wheels later if that does not all fit into the budget. I responded to your DM...

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

That is an oem size tire with Michelin CC2's in a 235/45/18. The issue you would run into with 18" on Volks or any other wheel is potentially a radial clearance issue with the rear caliper ebrake mechanism on the PUP 3's. That's where we have problems on 18". It's so close that we have to be...
