    [UK] 2024.14.x

Waiting for this updates driving my wife and I insane, we are actually in a competition now to see who gets it first (I have a June 23 Model 3 Long Range AWD, she has a September 23 Model Y RWD) 🤣

Did Tesla design cars to be able to take a range extender just incase?

The range extender is called the Supercharger network and its incredibly efficient!

    2024 Shipping Movements

I was with Tesla yesterday (its part of my job) and can confirm that Quicksilver and Cherry Red Y are coming from Berlin. Thats straight from the horses mouth of somebody quite senior at Tesla UK.

Loads of Model Y in stock on Tesla's website, i'd be ringing Tusker.

    Podcast App not working?

Anyone else updated to 44.30.8 and now Podcasts don't work? When I select the Podcast App in the car I just get a "Couldn't Load" message and a reload button to press which does nothing! Worked before. Tried a car reset but thats not fixed it. EDIT - Just played with it, decided to sign out of...

China’s BYD takes Tesla’s EV top spot

I work in EV automotive, BYD are dropping me one off for 4 days next week to try out and review. I have seen one in the flesh and was very very impressed, so weill be fascinating to see how it compares to my Tesla 3 Dual Motor.

    2023 Shipping Movements

Looks like Titus is the confirmed ship thanks to Wu Wa. Arrives Southampton 15th January. Been to look at a LHD Highland today in Tesla Sheffield, loved it!

Video was shot yesterday, after Malaysia Passion left for Japan? Actually my ship tracker is out of date by the looks, you'll no doubt be correct!

    2023 Shipping Movements

@Mr Miserable I have counted 373 right hand drive highland in the Wu Wa video FYI 🤣 Its clearest if you pause at 3minutes 14 seconds.

    2023 Shipping Movements

Very doubtful would be my opinion. Tesla pump cars off the boats, wipe their faces and get them out to customers. Have you got a VIN yet? My guess would be an early Jan shipment with your car on board.
  12. hoppo1979

    2023 Shipping Movements

In the Wu Wa video at 2 minutes 50 seconds you can see right hand drive Tesla 3 Highland. Could well be the first UK shipment going on!

    2023 Shipping Movements

Only wild card I have spotted is Garnet Ace, left Shanghai Sept 4th. Currently heading to Antwerp from Barcelona. Maybe that will head to Southampton after its mainland Europe stuff. Total and utter wild card though. 2nd Scenario is that Tesla aren't being straight with you and it is on Glovis...

    2023 Shipping Movements

Mr Miserable is the expert, but it looks to be a different spreadsheet detailing ships from Europe to Africa so Southampton isn't showing at its not the last destination before Africa, the ships AIS says its off to Southampton now which will be accurate, i'd guess its off to Antwerp after...

    2023 Shipping Movements

Its got to go through Suez Canal first so thats its 1st port of call so to speak. What you've found is the schedule after Suez so it'll leave Suez Canal and head to Zeebrugge, then Emden, then Bremerhaven.
  16. hoppo1979

    2023 Shipping Movements

@m Probably wrong but throwing it on your radar Mr M, Tulane is a Wallenius ship thats loaded somewhere in Shanghai and is also heading straight to Southampton just behind Glovis Cosmos. Don't know if Tesla have ever used Wallenius for shipping, its not a Volvo/Polestar shipment as they go...

[UK] 2023 Orders to Delivery for M3 and MY and personal shipping related questions

Wife has a chassis number in the app this morning, LRW so a China made Y, just checked the Hoegh shipping and its not on Tokyo/Detroit. Mr M probably correct in that its been in the UK a while. Delivery estimate now moved forward 4 days to 21st September. At least there is a light at the end of...

    2023 Shipping Movements

Looks like Neptune Horizon was a red herring, its left France and its heading for Morocco.
  19. hoppo1979

    2023 Shipping Movements

Just being nosey, both Hoegh Detroit and Hoegh Tokyo are now due into Newcastle Upon Tyne, Hoegh Tokyo still showing on Southampton arrivals but now due 17th September PM.
  20. hoppo1979

    2023 Shipping Movements

Have you been able to try the VIN in the Hoegh tracker? If it doesn't show up then it won't be on it which confirms Mr M saying Hoegh don't ship to UK. We need him back off holiday 🤣
  21. hoppo1979

    2023 Shipping Movements

Read back through Mr M updates and he clearly states Hoegh do not ship Tesla's into UK, does seem odd that Hoegh Tokyo is confirmed as a Tesla shipment with others having their VIN on board for Europe and it is actually calling at Southampton. Who knows, wife's is a company car so I can't check...
  22. hoppo1979

    2023 Shipping Movements

Hoegh Tokyo is on Southampton arrivals now, due 16th September at 4.30am. Looks like its leaving Bremerhaven, then calling at Antwerp, then Southampton.
  23. hoppo1979

    2023 Shipping Movements

I’d say 5 days from south of France to Southampton is still very doable. It all hinges on where she heads to after France. Southampton, its a yes, anywhere else its probably a red herring.
  24. hoppo1979

    2023 Shipping Movements

I would say thats no coincidence at all and thats the next ship your car will be on. Done a bit of ship tracking across a couple of manufacturers, it all works like clockwork.
  25. hoppo1979

    2023 Shipping Movements

Have you typed your VIN into Hoegh shippings tracker page (links a few pages back on a Mr Miserable post) as there are 2 ships heading for Zeebrugge which is where I think cars for Denmark arrive before cross loading onto another ship for Denmark.

    2023 Shipping Movements

This seems to line up with my wife's new company car order. MY RWD in Midnight Silver, the car is now in her app (Via Arnold Clarke) no VIN in the App yet and the estimated dates are 24th - 30th September which hasn't moved in around 4-5 weeks. We are Derbyshire based so car could either come...

  28. hoppo1979

    2023 Shipping Movements

Bit of a small FYI because there isn't a lot of info really. My wife has a Model Y RWD in Midnight Silver/Black interior on order as a company car, they cars now in her app (has been about 3 weeks) and has an estimated delivery date 25th - 30th September. I can't check the web account for a...

    Things to learn from PoleStar

Still have my 3 Long Range, its nearly 3 years old now and has been a brilliant motor! Sadly it was either a basic white Y, or a RWD 3 and I didn't fancy going backwards on the 3 into a single motor, and I already have a white Model 3 so didn't want white again. I have been able to put every...

    2022 Shipping Movements

If it helps (and I'm probably going to get lynched here!) but Titus is a Volvo/Polestar shipment. Tesla put the price of the Model Y up, it pretty much ruled it out as my next company car so I was sort of forced to join the 'dark side' hence I have done a load of research into Polestar shipping...

New Tesla Owner- Are these Model 3 Car Issues “Normal”?

Cant speak for the other points but that rear door handle looks fine. My March 2020 came like this, the Tesla Mobile Tech took about an hour to sort it. The door is double skinned where the handle bolts in, he had to gently manipulate the door to sort it which he managed to my satisfaction.

    Cleaning inside

My main tip is not to be tempted to use 'leather cleaner' on the seats as they aren't leather. Leather cleaners usually contain essential oils that will make your plastic seats go all shiny and horrible. The seats are dead easy to clean with a simple interior cleaner spray and a wipe with a...

Leasing Model 3 via Salary sacrifice

Hi all, interesting thread this and some of the gross deductions are very high in my experience! I work for a large Salary Sacrifice provider (can't see us mentioned on here!) 24 months, 10,000 miles a year for a M3LR would be £710 a month gross, £612 over 36 months. This is a quote I have done...

    PHEVs

There are some proper sweeping statements on this thread :D I had a BMW 330e for 2 years prior to my Tesla, always charged it up when I got home, and only ever charged it 'in the wild' at Tesco on the 7kw Podpoint (as long as plenty were free and I wasn't blocking a BEV) knowing full well at a...

    2020 Shipping Movements

Interesting that Platinum Ray is apparently heading to Teesport. I wonder whether they are dropping Northern Teslas up there (I know that my car was registered in Manchester but actually came from a prep centre in Carlisle) or it could be none Tesla related (maybe Nissans for export)

    2020 Shipping Movements

I know @Mr Miserable isn't feeling Tijuca as the next ship to EU, however its just mooring up in the same berth as Platinum Ray did to load Tesla's at Newark. Source for this on Twitter is Franco Mossotto and Morten Grove-Tesla-Ship Tracker. Who knows, but thought I would share just out of...

    2020 Shipping Movements

Just thought I would be nosey and there are 2 tugs alongside Platinum Ray. Based on Mr M's research it shouldn't be departing yet but the tug activity is rather odd. Errr - Edit, she's leaving!!!!!!
