I have a P100DL which was formerly a ‘15 P85D. I upgraded the pack to a 100 kWh and the rapid mate to a 1022565-10-F which had better weld points between the aluminum and copper. The old pack was loosing the battle of the modules and the max range was 220 but realistically it only got around 190...

There is a pyro on the 12v but it’s probably ok. Better off connecting the battery terminals to a working 12v to get the contactors to close so it can charge the HV battery.

Stop messing with these bad batteries and upgrade to a 100kWh pack from salvage cars. Anything else is a waste of time. Sell the modules out of the old pack and you'll recuperate your cost. Or let wk057 do it for you.

10K for the pack. Roughly 2K in transport costs and installation misc. sold the modules for $6k. Net was roughly 6 to 7K. Pack was from a non raven 19.

Don’t get another car. That’s idiotic, you already have a car and all it needs is a shop that can work on it. This is what I did: P85D with an old battery that was kicking out roughly 130 ish miles on full charge (even though it said 220 on the IC). I checked out battery replacement options...

I am dumbfounded by this. But has anyone had to open and shut the driver door twice to get the screens and a/c to turn off and lock. If I forget to do this the car will remain unlocked and keep running. Have no idea why.

But the supercharging speed is awful unleas you get a larger pack.

Mine said 220 but it never got anywhere near that range. Depending on how close you can get the Wh/mi to the suggested amount in the “energy” program in the center screen aka MCU. But even when driving at 290 Wh/mi I could only get 160 mi or so.

That’s only available in Y’s, 3’s and the latest model x/s I believe.

The modules contain 444 cells that are arranged in a 6S configuration whereby each of the 6 bricks have there voltages added to a range of 18 to 24V. A brick is a group of 18650 cells that share the same collective voltage of 3 to 4.2 V.

Buy a replacement from wk057 and be done with it. I couldn’t supercharge but could AC charge. They shipped me a replacement at a reasonable cost and I sold the old one on ebay. Problem solved.
