If I were in the market, I'd want some specs on the speakers, too. To me, they look a little "gimicky" with the carbon fiber dome. So if they are really made in-house, I wonder about things like efficiency, response, etc. With a well-known speaker manufacturer like Faital, I felt more comfortable.

Honestly, I don't think anyone is missing anything without this feature. Unless you're sentimental and you like your car to sound like an old AM radio powered by a 9V battery.

Thank you, @RFICDude . I went ahead with it and this chart mirrors what I saw in my 2020 AWD. The speakers, including tweeters, are marked for polarity, and I tested the units that I could and they tested true. Positive voltage pushes the piston out.

Yes, I was hoping to avoid that, but that's what I'll do. Can't do that with tweeters, though. But hopefully I'll figure out which lead has a stripe, or something, once I get in there.

So all the speakers get full-range signal from the amp, and just have passive components for high-cut and low-cut? Does the same pair of leads drive both that tweeter and the midrange nearby?

Not understanding something here in terms of the way Tesla designed this system. Presumably they are sending a signal with low cut and high cut to that midrange speaker, then sending the remaining highs to the tweeter. You now have a single coaxial speaker with the tweeter integrated. Wouldn't...

So I'm going to answer my own question here: I talked to Greenlife, and they basically said they weren't confident their BMS would work with a Tesla. Given how much an Ohmmu costs, it's tempting to try four of these plus something like this, and try to figure out the programming that satisfies...

Not intending to quibble, but I don't believe higher pressure equates with more friction. Friction is going to be a combination of tread compound, road surface, and contact patch size. And I think you're right in a sense about the smaller contact patch clearing water better, but I doubt it...

I was under the impression that the Ohmmu battery is also LiFePo? LiFePo has a higher number of life cycles than Lithium ion polymer, and is pretty commonly-used for lead-acid replacements. When you say "not as energy dense," compared to what?

I appreciate that. But unless those speakers are considerably better-sounding and more efficient than stock, I don’t imagine it will be a huge improvement. As I said, I think the stock amplifiers run out of steam and start to compress signal before the system volume gets very loud.

So many questions. I have a 2020 with the premium sound system, so it already has functioning rear speakers and subwoofer. Honestly, the sound quality is pretty good overall, especially after putting some damping material on some of the panels. I have no idea whether these Hansshow offerings...

Given the difficult instructions/explanations and the daunting amount of friction to installing and setting this up, along with the price tags, the improvement in sound quality had better be pretty astounding. I do get that they are pioneering this, and are not native English speakers, but...wow.

Related: what real benefits, other than cosmetic, are there to placing the tires farther apart? Does it have measurable effects on the cornering ability, etc?

I think they are chasing a bit of a moving target as they reinvent/refine their packages. So that's one problem. The other is translation. Again, we might help them out by saying what we need, rather than just saying "this is bad." But that's not easy, I realize. I don't know how to help...

I believe Hansshow is working on a clearer marketing page to help English speakers understand the distinctions between their various offerings.

Hansshow could use a bit of help with their UX, their copy, etc. It is really unclear what all the packages afford, and there are terms in the text that don't make sense in English. 'Course if people in the U.S. would bother to learn a foreign language like Standard Chinese...

I don't think it's necessarily "marine" that you'd be looking for if deep cycles are the risk. There are deep cycle batteries that aren't marine rated. Ohmmu is often cited here as a worthwhile replacement, but I imagine you've seen those threads. If not, search for that term.
