I thought a larger diameter tire would help acceleration because for every revolution you are going a farther distance. So if you were to keep the weight the same by getting lighter wheels, then you’d accelerate quicker, no? Anyone checked what the largest tire that can fit under the chassis?

How complicated is a gear ratio swap from another Tesla? If you swapped gears you might lose top speed but you’d gain from more torque multiplication, which will get you better times….

Nope, they are typically meant to produce downforce and that creates drag, so they do the opposite, slow you down. That’s why f1 cars have DRS (drag reduction system) capable wings so that they can reduce the downforce, typically needed to go really fast around turns, on the wide straight away...

Ok so it looks like Obrist is using the 981 Porsche cayman GTS bumper. I’m guessing they hacked up the model 3 bumper and molded on the cayman gts lower vent/inlet section. anyone know a good bodykit fab shop that would be willing to take that on?
