Why Does My Model X get so many Flat Tires?

If the tires are going down for no known reason such as a nail, I suspect someone is letting the air out of your tires. I have been driving for over 50 years and have NEVER had a flat. (knock on wood! ha!). Keep your tires properly inflated. 45psi cold on my model S and probably the same on the...

Tesla rigged the dashboard readouts in its electric cars to provide “rosy” [range] projections

I'm not mistaken. The tests clearly show they do not hold a steady 48mph. The graphs clearly show a modulation of speed, not a steady state speed that you would see on a clear highway stretch. We don't have to call it city/highway, but it is clearly not steady state highway. I think the...

Tesla rigged the dashboard readouts in its electric cars to provide “rosy” [range] projections

Even in stop and go traffic? These test results look like a commute type drive to me.

Tesla rigged the dashboard readouts in its electric cars to provide “rosy” [range] projections

MP3Mike: Thanks for the graphs. Where did you find these? I think you proved my point. It looks like a graph from actual traffic. There are slow-downs and accelerations in those graphs. The spikes are showing braking and acceleration which would be normal in day to day driving over an 8 to 10...

Tesla rigged the dashboard readouts in its electric cars to provide “rosy” [range] projections

The 48mph average is based on using some city and highway driving speeds in their test. Not that they drive for the entire duration of the test at 48mph. I believe the trip information screen shows your average speed since a trip was reset. Look at yours, it's probably close to 48mph.

My 2020 MS… modem handshaking noises? What is this?

It's the air suspension changing at those geographic locations. The suspension remembers where rough roads are or where you manually raise and save the location.

Apple Co Founder: "FSD is a frightening, horrible experience".

I'm surprised so many of you are sticking up for Musk. I agree with Woz. Musk has lied. My car will be in the junk yard well before FSD works like Musk lied to us about.

How to not clear snow from your Tesla!

My wife was at a stoplight near where some sidewalk repaving was being done. The side of the car got spashed with concrete. She was only a mile from home so drove home, then used Quick Detailer and a rag to wipe off the concrete. Good intensions, but the scratches are deep.

    Customer Service Is Lacking

I've written several letters to Tesla corp headquarters with NO response what so ever. Tesla does not care about customers. I agree, my Model S is the best car I have owned... but I dread the day something goes out and needs major repair.

The word I hate worse is the made up word "prolly" instead of spelling out probably. I guess I'm getting old.

Breaking News: Class Action Lawsuit Filed Against Tesla re: FSD

It's about dang time. I would be happy if Tesla would allow a carry-over of FSD to a future new Tesla. I'm afraid my Model S will be in the junk yard before I can use the FSD I paid for.

How do you plan your charging stops?

In my experience, the Tesla Nav planner is VERY accurate and I trust it. However, it will sometimes skip a charger. I like to stop every 1.5 hours or so to use the restroom and just stretch my legs, so I pretty much stop at all superchargers on my route. The other day, I did not need to stop but...

MASSIVE TESLA RALLY TO PROTEST BIDEN IGNORING TESLA 4/22/22

A quick google search does not back you up. GM sold 898k cars in the last two quarters of 2021 in the USA. You are missing my point about the childish nature of going to DC for recognition. Tesla is small potatoes when it comes to selling cars in the USA. I'm not denying that they are the EV...

MASSIVE TESLA RALLY TO PROTEST BIDEN IGNORING TESLA 4/22/22

The big 3 sold almost 6 million cars in the USA in 2021 compared to Tesla's 302k. The big 3 employ thousands more than Tesla in the USA by several fold. Biden is trying to get the big 3 to convert more of their ICE cars to EV's in order to maintain good paying jobs at those factories. It looks...

I didn't even know Tesla gives you a waiver on the first time. Good to know. I have always seen the notification of high traffic chargers and limit to 80%. I always monitor my charge using my app if I am away from my car.

Raven Suspension Randomly Raising and Lowering

Mine does this. I believe it memorizes where the rough areas are and does it from then on. I drive the same route to work and my car always raises the suspension when approaching the rough area. Smart.

Auto high beams and auto wipers worse on 2022 than 2018

Mine does not work like that. I have the FSD Beta and it automatically turned on Auto high beams in settings. When my high beams activate, pushing forward on the turn signal stalk does not deactivate them. I'm probably doing something wrong. I agree with you, it does not work well at all.

Auto high beams and auto wipers worse on 2022 than 2018

I did not say not to use your highbeams when you need to. I said that AUTO highbeams should not activate below a certain speed. I'm not denying science. You need to improve your reading comprehension.

Auto high beams and auto wipers worse on 2022 than 2018

We have trees in Kansas. Ha! I did not say you don't need highbeams to see deer or whatever out in the country. When out in the country turn them on. I'm saying the AUTO highbeams should not activate below a certain speed, such as 50mph.

Auto high beams and auto wipers worse on 2022 than 2018

Manually activate high beams then. You are not going to outdrive your low beams below 50mph. You only need high beams when driving faster than your stopping distance. Yes, it's a speed thing. Someone said I can deactivate my high beams after they auto activate by pushing forward on the turn...

Auto high beams and auto wipers worse on 2022 than 2018

The Auto high beams should be designed to only operate above a certain speed, such as 50 mph. Having them activate on city streets is anoying for oncoming traffic.

Valet Damaged our Brand New MYP

Carfax is over-rated. I had one car that was backed into twice, and hailed on twice and when I sold it I pulled a Carfax and nothing was on it. My daughters car was T-Boned and nothing was on the Carfax when we sold it either. I had the repairs done at a reputable body shop.

POLL: vibration felt when slightly accelerating refresh Mode S Plaid or LR

I have the same issue on my 2020 Model S Long Range (Mid Sept 2020 build). Feels like I am running over small rumble strips at times. My guess is it is the air suspension adjusting as I accelerate.
