1-Year Annual Tesla Service and Repair Information Subscription for Free

It would likely be more for folks out of warranty. They could potentially order and replace their own parts. I signed up because, you know, free and it may have some cool nerd info.

Radar deleted on all new Model Y and Model 3. Is FSD worth it?

Cost. Plain and simple. No way it is 'safer' without radar. Nearly every day my camera's are blocked just due to the Sun shining on them.

Tell me more about your trade, boys...So, you schedule that to happen at the same time as pickup? How was the trade in value vs. others? I am debating on trading via Tesla even taking a small hit on price due to the convenience. Any tips on the trade process is helpful!

M3 and MY base models price reduction - Performance price increase

Yeah that partial premium is a bummer on the M3, it may be a spicy choice if it was all Premium. RWD MY seems like way too low range.

    MY LR, when to order?

Speak with a Tesla representative, previously one told me they would make sure mine would be manufactured with the heated steering wheel. I hope they would be willing for other changes as well. Doesn't hurt to reach out!
  19. IA_TESSIE

    Tesla Support MIA?

Nothing to add but a yikes, what a pain the ass for a $60k+ car. If anything stops Tesla it's going to be Service and Support.

General "Should I Wait for Upgrades" Thread

I asked my Tesla rep about the heated steering wheel. Response: "we can ensure you get one manufactured with the heated steering wheel". Sounds like you just need to reach out to your representative and make sure you get the features you want (if they are available, re: console).

General "Should I Wait for Upgrades" Thread

You're missing heated steering wheel. I know California orders the most of these but keep us cold weather folks in mind ;)

General "Should I Wait for Upgrades" Thread

I don't know about that, man. It is all conjecture. No one had any information on the S/X refresh, so doubtful anyone has concrete information around those upgrades coming in March. Always waiting, arg...:p

Tesla 20’’ Induction Wheels vs 19" Replika R241 on Model Y

I am struggling with this as well while I wait for more confirmation of the heated steering wheel ;) Another item to think about that has me leaning 20" Inductions are the tires; pretty solid Goodyear. Tire cost and quality needs to be thought about as well.

    Mustang Mach-e positive reviews

Absolutely that is part of it which is why you have to watch several reviews nowadays to get the real story. From what I have seen, build quality and the drive are really solid. The main pain points are lack of the Supercharger style network and an "auto-pilot" (which is coming in ~6 months)...

Tesla rolling out new headlights worldwide

How about the new cells? Arg...
  40. IA_TESSIE

    Wait for 82 kWh battery?

The 2021 M3 (353mi range) gained approximately 30 miles with the new cells. Given the same battery size and heavier weight, I would not expect the MY to gain the same.
  41. IA_TESSIE

Breaking news: Free 2021 Supercharging for 3s and Ys!

Absolutely, people get a little more excited than they should if you break down the numbers. Obviously it is relative based on driving but Supercharging to full does not cost much anyways; not like a gas tank.
  42. IA_TESSIE

    Wait for 82 kWh battery?

430mi seems ambitious. The expected range increase is 16% on the 4680 cells and I would imagine we are talking 2022+ before we see those in the States.

Model Y Long Range Rear Wheel Drive (LR RWD)

Given's Elon's tweet above about < 250mi range on the RWD in July, it is possible the Panasonic cells in the current 2021 Model 3 will fix this issue once Model Y's are produced with that battery pack.
  45. IA_TESSIE

Service on MY gave me a M3. It’s been 14 days..

To echo above, you don't seem to hate the M3 but smaller sedans. It sounds like you are lucky to even get a loaner; given some of the anecdotes on this forum, they are few and far between lately. What is the issue with your MY?

2021 model Y scan my Tesla battery size

They may be seeing different results because we are expecting a 82KWh battery in the 2021 Model Y "soon".
  48. IA_TESSIE

Got my new 2021 Model Y

I hear you, I am in the same boat as posted above, waiting on the 82KWh pack. It is a complete guess but it is possible they are working through the assembled inventory of "older" battery packs, consoles, etc. before they switch. One would think they want the M3 and MY on more of the same parts.
  49. IA_TESSIE

General "Should I Wait for Upgrades" Thread

Same here! I could care less about the heated steering wheel and console but the 82KWh battery is a big change. It boosted the 2021 M3 range 10% and is newer battery tech. It is a decent compromise rather than waiting for the 4680 cells.
