    Supercharger - Bothell, WA - 201st Place Southeast (LIVE 21 Mar 2024, 12 V4 stalls)

Ditto: Though Tesla doesn't seem to list as open to other EVs (yet).

    Supercharger - Bothell, WA - 201st Place Southeast (LIVE 21 Mar 2024, 12 V4 stalls)

As far as I know, WA hasn't awarded Tesla any money for DC fast charging. It does look like some money has been given out to other charging providers/projects though. For example, here's an awards announcement from late 2023...

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) - time-of-use pilot

One thing I was curious about was what permissions Optiwatt (who handles the charging management on behalf of PSE) would require. The available permissions are: I originally tried just "Charging Management", but it looks like Optiwatt at least wants "Charging Management" and "Vehicle...

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) - time-of-use pilot

Ah ok, your quote helped me find the FAQ in question. It looks like you are referencing the FAQ on this page: Flex events I've only been exposed to this page and its FAQ which has none of this information: Flex EV I guess I'll assume for now the information on the non-EV flex page is...

Do you have a source on this?

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) - time-of-use pilot

I was looking into this over the weekend, and I still don't quite understand how they calculate how much you should earn during the "don't charge" period. How can they know how much energy you would have hypothetically used?

    Supercharger - Bothell, WA - 201st Place Southeast (LIVE 21 Mar 2024, 12 V4 stalls)

Went by today. No signs of things still being worked on other than some caution tape a huge pile of trash at the back. I also could not find a meter/a spot for a meter to help indicate if service had been hooked up yet.

Chargepoint NACS Cable for HomeFlex now available for order

On a related note, it sounds like ChargePoint has their own magic-dock-like solution in the works. Check out the paragraph quote here about not wanting to make customers figure out what parking spot has what cable: ChargePoint starts rolling out Tesla-style NACS plugs for its customers And...

Chargepoint NACS Cable for HomeFlex now available for order

Pictures on that page aren't loading for me, I bet their CDN is still rolling out new assets or something like that. But the Home Flex page (Meet Home Flex, the Level 2 Home EV Charger | ChargePoint) gives an idea of the look of the ChargePoint NACS handle: Looks nice!

    MagicDock upgrade vs V4 dispensers

And not only that, today saw the first sighting of V4 dispensers in the USA: Supercharger - Wilsonville, OR (Under Construction Aug 2023, 8 V4 stalls) As always, it seems the quickest way to be wrong (talking about myself right now) is to open your mouth and state your opinion. 😁

    MagicDock upgrade vs V4 dispensers

Curse my brain for forgetting about the payment method requirements. This is a very good point that I totally forgot about and makes my entire NEVI paragraph moot, unless Tesla finds some way to add on payment terminals to V3 stations. While not an impossibility, I find it unlikely, though I...

    MagicDock upgrade vs V4 dispensers

This is my totally wild guess, based on nothing other than personal opinion. I don't think we'll see V4 dispensers rolled out in meaningful numbers in the US until at least halfway through 2024 or perhaps even closer to 2025, and I don't think they will have Magic Docks (or at least not in...

Will Tesla Buildup Superchargers to Accommodate Anticipated Demand from Ford, GM, Rivian, and whoever else, Adopting NACS circa 2024/2025?

I do think there is a valid concern that even if other companies add NACS connectors to their stations, Tesla Superchargers will continue to be the most popular/reliable places to charge and therefore at risk of crowding.

Superchargers with low Google Maps ratings

I was recently perusing Supercharger locations, and I noticed one in downtown Austin, TX had 1.6 stars on Google Maps: Link to the location: Tesla Supercharger · 1603 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704 I was pretty flabbergasted as I'm used to seeing at least 4 stars, if not closer to 5. For...

Winter tire shopping - Looking at the NOKIAN TYRES HAKKAPELIITTA R5 EV

I've now been using the Hakka R5 (NOT EV) for a couple hundred miles on my Model Y. Commenting here since this thread was what popped up for me in Google search when I was first shopping, and I don't see a similar thread on the Model Y forums. 😊 I wanted the EV variant originally, but they were...

Looking for Model X & Driver in Seattle (Woodinville/Bothell) Area

Hi all, I've gone ahead and taking Chad up on his offer. Thank you DSolie on the link the FB group. Although I won't be using it for this event, I did join it so I can stay up to date on future happenings with the NW Tesla community!

Looking for Model X & Driver in Seattle (Woodinville/Bothell) Area

Hi, I'm getting married this weekend and at the last minute we had the idea of having a Model X drive us home from our wedding. We've looked at several options, including professional car services (can only find black cars, which maybe we'll fall back to if TMC doesn't work out), Turo (too...

    Seattle area detailing shop recommendations?

I love washing the outside of my Model Y, but I loathe the thought of cleaning the interior. Any recommendations for a detailing shop that does interior cleanings? I found Mr. Detail via an older thread, but would love more options than just one. 😀

    Regenerative braking

For what it's worth, I initially tried standard regen as well. Girlfriend and I both felt a bit queasy/uneasy after the experiment. So I switched to low and drove that way for about a month a half. Then one day I decided to try standard again. I did a much better job at modulating the...

No center screen but I could drive

This happened to me today as I was backing into a parking spot. Can't recall what software version I'm on, and car is down in the parking garage. Was backing in, using the cameras, and suddenly the screen went black! After about 10 seconds Tesla logo popped up and cameras came back shortly...

    Charging Primer?

I recently ran across this PDF while trying to learn as well: http://cosmacelf.net/Home%20Made%20Adapters.pdf It points to another website, which is apparently more up-to-date, but I think a lot of the stuff in the PDF still holds true: CarCharging.us

Correct, WA requires both front and back. They should include the front mount somewhere in the car (frunk, under trunk, trunk, etc.). Maybe the SA will have time to get service to put it on before they drive it to you. Worst case, you make a service appointment to get it done if you aren't...

    Washington State Waiting Room

It comes with the car. We had the service center put it on during delivery. It is held in with adhesive tape though, so if you're wanting to take it off for pictures at a later date, either don't put it on until you're ready or buy an after market one that is not so permanent.

    Washington State Waiting Room

Yesterday was finally clear enough to take some photos. We've driven a bunch since Thursday, and every time I look at the car I can't but help think "this car is great!". We've only noticed a few cosmetic issues since taking delivery and we have a mobile service appt where some will be...

Update on my delivery. Tesla Bellevue came through and the car was home delivered shortly after lunch. If my SA reads this, thank you again so much for all of your help! I'll take some pictures of the car on a brighter day and share them with all of y'all here. Overall, great quality though...

Sigh. After over 5 hours we are ultimately not going home with a car. They made new keys, but during final inspection they noticed a tail light wasn't consistently lighting up. Went back to the SC at about 2:00. System was still down, at least for making new keys. Employee showed us where the car though and it looks great! I'd give it an A- or A. Only 2 exterior spots that after looking for 5min I would put into the app for potential service. It was unlocked but we...

    Washington State Waiting Room

Welp. Unsure if I'll be taking delivery today. Service center is saying the key cards that came with the car have gone missing, and since the Tesla network is down, they can't activate new keys. And without keys, they can't activate the car for delivery. We're grabbing lunch nearby and will head...

We had our SA change to dealership delivery. Reasons: For where we live in the city, it'd be a bad experience to try and inspect the car. I don't want to feel uncomfortable/rushed while inspecting the car! By being at the service center, I'm hoping it'll be easier to address or get assurances...

Well now I've gotten a text reminding me to pick a delivery time, otherwise it will be picked for me. I went back to the schedule site and it is once again showing home delivery. Just received a text to schedule delivery! :D:D:D Though it did say they wanted to deliver to our address...something which probably isn't a good idea given where we live in the city. Will be attempting to change to service center. In the meantime, I peeked at the date options for the home...
