Just tried to order Tesla Solar and it’s not “available” in my area. Now what?

Just to clarify, your price was $52k and then you got $28k, of credits, leaving $24k owed?

Just tried to order Tesla Solar and it’s not “available” in my area. Now what?

That does help, a lot. Was the $52k after rebates? I have just received a quote for $61k ($42k after rebates) for 15.3kW system with a PowerWall3, and I'm trying to determine if that's a good price or not. Edit: I think I could DIY an equivalent system for well under $20k, after rebates, no...

Just tried to order Tesla Solar and it’s not “available” in my area. Now what?

Hello Tom, could you send me a DM (or post it here) of your approximate installed cost for this system? I'm working with a local installer on either a 28 or 36 panel system and a Powerwall3, and I'm trying to get an idea if their quote was inflated or not.

Contact for following up on Tesla Order?

I got a response from the local Tesla installer (probably more apt to call them a distributor, which I'm fine with). The quote was eye watering. 15.3kWh (QCell panels) and one PW3 for $61k (before federal rebate). I wouldn't call my response a counter offer, but I did itemize out a list of...

Contact for following up on Tesla Order?

Thanks, Matt. I filled out another request and this time it had less solar output 12 vs. 15kWh and recommends 3 PW vs. 1 PW. I think I'd prefer 20+kWh solar (since we have net metering) and 1 PW, if any. Anyway, the website said I'd be contacted by the installer that I mentioned was hard to...

Contact for following up on Tesla Order?

Around two years ago, I placed a Tesla order, but they had no installers in my area at that time (Central Kentucky). A local installer, who is impossible to get ahold of, claims that they install Tesla and are Tesla Certified. Is there a way for me to contact Tesla directly about my old order...

Foam cannon/gun for "regular" garden hose?

I've used the TORQ foam blaster and it works, if that's all you have. However, I greatly prefer using a foam cannon on the pressure washer. It gets a much thicker layer of suds.

    Tire particle problem

It's not the political right, nor the EV haters, that are funding and pushing the PM2.5 and PM10 research and crisis story line. *Is* a problem or "maybe" a problem? I am probably misinterpreting, as it seems you contradict yourself by saying it's a problem and then it may be a problem...

    Tire particle problem

It's an environmentalists' argument. It may get amplified by the voices you mention, but it didn't originate there. LINK to The Atlantic

    6 Weeks & 7,000 Miles - Thoughts from a penny pincher (2023 MYLR)

A majority of miles driven in my new '23 Camry hybrid have been highway, it gets 45.X mpg. It will show low 50's on a backroad or city driving. Our '21 RAV4 hybrid gets 37-40 mpg on the highway, depending on weather conditions. It is not true that a (Toyota) hybrid isn't a good distance...

My Two Week Review - Heading towards 300,000 Miles

    1) Probably once for brakes on a hybrid Camry (they have regenerative braking too), $250. 2) Twice on the plugs, $80 3) Twice on the ACC belt, $60. 4) Brake fluid is a wash with Tesla, coolant ever 100k, $100 Under $500 by my calculations, but I do that all myself.

    6 Weeks & 7,000 Miles - Thoughts from a penny pincher (2023 MYLR)

Thanks for sharing. I just bought a hybrid Camry on June 2nd and already have 3800 miles on it. It was a long term penny pincher purchase, which is why I backed out of getting an XSE at the last minute. To answer your question, I’ve been averaging 45mpg. I got the Camry for under $30k, so no...

Discussion : All discussion regarding Model 3 and Tax credit in model 3 subforum

Ah, got ya. I just found out that the $7500 credit is supposed to last until 2032. Who knows what changes may be implemented, but that answers my question, as I thought it was something that could/would be modified quarter by quarter.

Discussion : All discussion regarding Model 3 and Tax credit in model 3 subforum

Has anything been announced for how long the $7500 tax credit for $55k and less Model 3P will be sticking around? We are trying to push off purchasing for another 2+ months, but I don't want to miss out on the credit either.
