Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

It definitely looks like a very weird frunk as well, it looks as though things could fall out on the ground everytime you open it.

Cyber truck announcement tomorrow for the US? Would be a nice double Whanny

Yup I'm a big fan of that move, will help clear the old inventory asap as well.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Yeah I agree that's exactly the issue, but you don't value a company on the number of cars it makes, it's how many dollars it makes. And they could very well get back on that track to the margin they had before if all the highland and improvements they showed at Investor day, and at battery...

Tesla is very much not growing at 50% a year right now.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Is there an explanation anywhere for the huge jump in Services and Other? That seems to be where the majority of the beat is coming from. Edit: think I misread some numbers

Meet Kevin is an absolute clown. A millennial Jim Cramer, just making money off being entertainment, not anything of substance.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Yeah it's majorly disappointing to see him call out and criticize the left over everything little thing, which I'm not at all opposed to but then to turn around and just be all chummy with Murdoch, Tucker et al and ignore their blatant lies, convenient misrepresentation of facts, and dog whistle...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

This feels a lot like people selling their options after the deliveries report just being in line with expectations rather than a blowout.
  10. B

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Yeah feels like a great recruiting tool for engineers to show that you can be up there presenting at a major event alongside Elon, and that they're willing to allow you to present even if you're not a great speaker.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Wall Street is just VERY short term focused, they don't care about 8 years from now right now. When they see actual results that will make money they will buy. I just bought more.

In the US. Still pretty stupid, not sure why that matters, but if the next giga is in Canada and no more in the US they might be right, but who cares.

    $4,495.2 pre-pre-split .. not all bad

What other tech stock to consider?

Yeah, I like them a lot. There's some good info out there on them. They're very green with the Quebec Hydro and are working with Caterpillar to develop an entirely electric mining operation. They're also on the NYSE as NMG. There's some good videos on them on Rock Stock's YouTube and I believe...

Definitely not, It's more the crowd than him, it's just super annoying. I just want to hear what he was to say not bad jokes and random laughing in the middle. The last earnings call he was pretty much perfect.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

So does just about everyone on this message board, the difference is just a disagreement on why it's undervalued.

    Near-future quarterly financial projections

Again Thank you so much for doing all this work and sharing it with us. Have a couple of questions: First, how do you have Energy performing in these? The start of a growth there thanks to the new factory or returning to normal from the surprise profit this quarter? And second, does a share...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Regarding the investment grade change, does anyone know what the numbers look like in terms of how many fund managers are unable to buy Tesla and also an estimate of how much of the market they represent? Does it make sense that at this point the stocked is capped, less so by the market makers...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Yeah he typically values Tesla as simply a car company, so would kind of explain why he is ignoring all of the other internal projects going on, such as energy, robot, AI, insurance etc.
  20. B

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Yeah especially since their reasoning for selling BTC was to have more cash on hand to be safe for the China shutdown, I would doubt they would be giving up cash so soon after.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

A red arrow from MSPaint is doing a more intelligent job modeling Tesla's EPS than these clowns.
  22. B

Should Elon be on today's earnings call?

Yeah let the other engineers shine and have potential employees see what they could become through hard work there.
  23. B

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Lots of folk trying to make seem like it would be perfectly in line with consensus without the Bitcoin selling, but Energy and Services and Other made significant beats which is big, and hopeful sustainable, and potentially even the start of some serious growth there.

Amazon is a web services company. MOD: Nor is this the AMZN thread…🤬

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I love how they have a legend on this just to have every other company the same shade of grey and completely indistinguishable from one another.
  26. B

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Is he even scheduled to talk at the earnings call? It was my understanding he was only one the last one for the year end aspect. I was looking forward to him getting off the calls so we can get some actual clarity on things without his meandering rants. Regardless he should ABSOLUTELY NOT be...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

We freak out because we drive about twice the mileage of any other country in the world and driving is absolutely essential to work a ton of jobs, especially the in the working class, who are already stretched unbelievably thin.
  31. B

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

What is a gamble? They're focusing on making as many Model Y as possible this year, which has insane demand and is more of a given and delaying production on CT, Semi and Roadster, which are much more of an unknown.
  32. B

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

It is in no way a handout. It is money given to a company for goods and services. This rhetoric is absurd

    All discussion of Rivian Automotive

Yes but when Tesla was at point the viability of electric vehicles was extremely uncertain, now thanks to Tesla, that uncertainty isn't just removed but EV's are viewed as the only way forward. That said I still think Rivian is way overvalued
  34. B

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

It's way higher than I thought it would be, but the Volt owners who are participating in The EV Project are absolutely not representative of Volt owners as a whole.
