It could also be that they looked at how many people use the Steam functionality, and, it is actually not very many at all. (guessing)

Minor point but for those lamenting the updated & higher price of the Cybertruck, $39,900 in 2019 is ~$48,000 in today's money. So for the base truck to now be priced at $61,000 is still a 27% price hike but not as large as 39-to-61. Dual motor AWD $49,900 in 2019 is ~$60,000 in today's money...

The troll team is loving the way they are getting actual investor posters engaged enough to post replies and dilute the actual Tesla Investment discussions on here. While I'm here... our November 2023/HW4 Model YLR is currently installing the update w/ FSD 12.3.6 and (we hope) a free trial...

The range of the production dual-motor truck is longer than the claim made at the 2019 reveal. "300+ miles" vs. 340 miles. The short-range 250-mile trim is not in production yet (and its RL range not known yet) I guess your problem was with the announced 500-mile range of the top trim

TROLL MANAGER Guys, give me a situation report. TROLL #1 I only got three people to engage me in discussions today. Will try to do better! TROLL #2 I got seven people to engage me today, including two posters who really got aggravated and wrote a lot. TROLL SCIENTIST This is excellent, we...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

We are literally discussing the North American Supercharging behaviour of Tesla with only one (positive) tweet from Elon and a load of very spotty coverage in Reuters - laden with inaccuracy and we really can't tell what Tesla is doing from this. We only have half the information. Yes a whole...

Reuters' latest hit piece... released 8 minutes ago. Does not appear to be affecting the stock. My take: any time you innovate and change plans you currently have in place, you have to call up some outside suppliers and cancel your prior way of doing things. When hit piece generators like...

Honest answer... if www. google .com is banned in China, does that company have any products at all in China? Google is well-known to follow the geopolitical goals of the U.S. Government. Perhaps Waymo will clearly never operate in China. Add "FSD" to "a 100%-owned factory with no JV" to the...

Have to say, I don't know how to enjoy this feeling any more, there have been so many days when I was just "conditioned to endure the fall." I must have forgotten what it felt like on the way up to $414.50 ($6218 on the old scale where I first bought in 2013 at $38) because it sure feels like...

That is a very interesting thought... the Tesla Insurance payment for my wife and I might fall by $100 or more if we start using FSD for $99/month. IOW it would be cheaper to pay for and use FSD than to not use it.

Elon said "hardware 6 or 7" with reference to higher computing power built into the car. It's probable that any apps that users may be using during charging will consume an ever-smaller fraction of the CPU (think... watching TV/movie... ordering stuff on Amazon etc.)

RE: the layoffs... just my $0.02 Tesla has always been a lean company, always watching expenses. Up until the last 3yrs when they started accumulating money, they had to watch where every cent went and were always trying to strip parts out of their cars to reduce costs. The "Q1 layoffs" seem...

Drew: LOL it's as simple as it has been described by Drew. After 18yrs he has decided to leave and enjoy his new life with company stock. If that assumption is correct... sure. Investors who have waited until the last moment will coordinate the mailing of a postmarked check with the sale of stock. The IRS takes several days to cash checks

For years, Tesla has been getting deeper into people's wallets than legacy car companies can. When I bought my Model S in 2013, I had been driving a 2002 Civic for 11yrs and a Hyundai Elantra was one of my options for replacing it. Then my TSLA stock took off, and instead of leaving it in my...

HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!!! Tesla does not seek, need or want an "image" - they just want to sell cars & replace all the gas-guzzlers. And that includes all the cheap cars that are all that poor i.e. normal people can afford

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Wrong. No need to "observe Troy" whatever that is or means. I am bullish on the company long-term, and know that, because it is a ratings magnet, and truly important... it is frequently manipulated. Therefore I am realistic about the stock. It was almost guaranteed to fall vs. the close...

Just go to any car loan calculator. You will see that, over a 5yr loan, the payments for an extra $12,000 borrowed are about $200/month if the interest rate is 6%. (figures are approximate) If the interest rate falls, the payments fall, making the monthly loan cost for lifetime FSD less than...
