Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
Good points, but Tesla has an upper hand against rivian/ford being a manufacturing powerhouse and vertically integrated to keep costs low. So you have to account for that, they may try to undercut all ev trucks out there and no way they don't take advanatge of the 80k cap on $7500 ev rebate...
Just round it out to 80K, with the EV rebate capping there you are in at $72,500 and in 2024 when we might be able to actually buy these things, it will be a point of sale rebate vs. 2023 where you get rebate in 2024 taxes. :)
Can we all just agree to raise hell at the price bumps and see if Elon can honor those who got in before the prices were removed from website?
Please? haha
Single Motor is out of the question, its like the Model Y standard range, it was nice for promotion to get people excited but didn't make sense dollar wise and was quickly cancelled.
I'm thinking the same dollar bump from Inflation that caused the model Y to go from 49k to currently sitting at...
Agreed but you just neee one bad experience where you make a line for 30mins to an hour just to charge to realize how painful that is, and wish you had options... ordered!
It won't be for long.. make sure to buy one so when those pesky tesla chargers are full on weekends and electrify america are empty, you can jump to that side!
Just ordered.
"Finally, we have not scheduled a date for reopening the CVA Program and we don’t expect to until 2022, so we encourage you to look at other incentive programs here if you need immediate assistance purchasing a clean vehicle."...
There were many cost saving reasons prior to supply chain issues that the cybertruck was so well priced for a full size truck with amazing specs, I recall those being:
4680 in house batteries
No paint
Cheap steel requiring no bending
Manufacturing optimizations already learned
Why does...
Lithium ION ATV is actually a unique combination, most E-ATV's are lead Acid and pricy. 15 miles of range is actually amazin, with the unique looks and Tesla badge not bad at all!
Comparable Razor e-atv is $999...
Spotify doesn't even offer it yet right? So Tidal is way ahead of the game here.

Yes Masters and standard album both show up as Hi-fi when downloaded, I can't tell a difference between MQA and Standard album as both play in Hi-Fi so masters must default to standard hi-fi when MQA is not active.
Yeah looks like MQA is not an option in Tesla, makes sense! very few devices can do MQA. HI-FI sounds really good to my ears so far, downloading so many albums and will enjoy good music on my commute to work. Don't mind paying 9.99 for CD quality in Tesla as I can definitely hear the difference.
FYI there is a 3 month trial of Hifi Plus plan for $2 to try it out:

Initial impression is that it really is high fidelity after downloading an MQA album it was treated as Hifi and that's what it said in Tesla player, things that I cannot hear as clear in Spotify are crystal clear using Tidal, I did a hip-hop song by the weekend.
Spotify treated certain parts of...
I got the update today for Model Y Standard Range, I do have advanced software updates checked so maybe get is faster..
will compare today using MQA albums vs. spotify, and then HIfi albums vs. spotify:

Two curb rashes! my fault! Will try to get you a new picture. I haven't seen any changes at all in the 8 months but will make sure to take picture in same lighting in garage to see if I can spot anything.
How about the Model Y standard range, get me to 4.5 secs for 1k-2K, I'll pay it to fly off the line even faster!
This car feels really fast for only being 0-60 in 5.3 secs.
Range estimates are for driving speed limit with a light foot in best scenarios, if you buy a 300 mile range EV, that's most likely going to be 200 mile range with 90% charging, heavy foot with that awesome power, and most folks aren't operating their car in the best conditions.
Once cars get...
They will sell like hotcakes in California when you stack EV incentives, 12.5K from infrastructure bill, $4500k from CVRP(income eligible), $5000 from CVAP (income eligible), $1.5k from CCFR + many cities have additional incentives.
That's now a $15-20k truck for low to moderate income...
With Elon saying that if they were to build a cybertruck now it would cost 1 million I can't imagine them releasing cybertruck in the 2021 timeframe, mid to late 2022 sounds about right.
https://insideevs.com/news/525021/tesla-cybertruck-one-million-price/
Mid 2022 sounds about right... even q3 or early q4 would be ok since many of the e trucks aren't arriving until that time as well, Tesla with 1 mill + reserves and luxury of having so much demand doesn't need to be first to market...
but they do need to have a truck that once released it will...
Same would definitely pay for this upgrade... hope they do it and didn't have to drastically change the frunk to accommodate new hepa filter where it would not be possible for us.
So I made sure to cover the important stuff brakes caliper etc. but tried to leave some room for spray to get into the back area. I could have done a lot better but it's hard to see unless you crouch and specifically look at that area, from small distance back you won't notice it, and now less...
Sorry to hear, I had the same fear so took it very slow where every single one of my coats was light I was too scared to go heavy how they recommend in their videos after a few light coats. I had one spot I went heavy and got runs so made sure to just keep doing it light and came out great.
yup cvap is already gone for a few months due to funds exhausted if i would have waited i would have lost out 5k because who knows when they get funds with the backlog they have.
Might as well apply for the 5k cvap and plan to be patient for the 7k federal tax, biden should make it sweet..
Yeah, the sides of car get dirty fast.. doesn't help i drived it after a light rain. I haven't experienced a car get dirty on the sides so quick regardless, folks say mud flaps help, also helps with rocks getting kicked to side of car.
no they give you basically tire dressing so it peels off tire when done, then i got a rag and cleaned it with tire cleaner and all of it came off..
prep was easy, i added a little plastic trash bags on the nearby paint work just in case, set up under 5 mins for all wheels. Cover for rotor and...
70% windshield done today, xpel prime xr for $200... to tint this car wasn't that expensive great that it comes pre tinted with 20% which is my favorite shade... so just had to do the front sides and windshield.. now it's looking great!
Next mod mud flaps.
90 hyperdip emerald black wheel kit (basically an improved plasti dip experience)
20 lug nut cover and center cap kit from amazon
5 hours of work, most of which is spent waiting for coats to dry... every 30 mins i hit it with a light coat until did 6-8 of them.
Yes, i like it a lot, so many quick things can do. I walk up to car and it unlocks walk away and it locks. I hold the trunk button and it opens charge port or unlocks it so i can disconnect when charging, im sure it can do more things... $150 not a big deal, consider it an accessory for a better...
if you have geminis before spending thousands, know that you have a nice set of wheels hiding behind those aero covers, all it took was a $90 hyperdip wheel kit, and $20 lug nuts center cap set from amazon and 5 hours or so of work.. most of which is spent waiting for coat to dry.
these guys deal with millions of customers unfortunately that "ill take my business elsewhere" doesn't have the much effect, I've tried calling insurance for adjustment after raise my rates to the point where i have the same rep cancel my policy on the spot to show how serious i am, i feel i am...
