My experience has been the same with the FSD trial in my 2023 Y. I have existing EAP in the ‘18 Performance 3, and find it useful. The FSB is definitely a better product (on city streets) and works better than, say, a year ago when I tried it in my buddy’s S. But worth $8,000? I don’t know.

Same here. I recently rented a Model 3 in South Florida with no issues, as well as a Polestar 2 and a Kia Niro. They had plenty of each being rented.

I notice the different disconnect behavior between my wife’s 23 Model Y LR with regular AP and my 2018 Model 3P with EAP. Mine is still the same as always (harder disconnect), and hasn’t changed through the most recent updates while hers is much smoother.

I had kept putting off replacing my cameras or otherwise looking into having the red bleed issue fixed for some time. Glad I did (I’m a serial procrastinator), because the issue seems to have corrected itself in updates. It was so subtle that I hadn’t even noticed it until my wife pointed it out.

I have both. And love each for their respective benefits and uses. But I drive the 3 every day.

I’ve received similar longevity from my first 2 sets of 20” Michelin PS4s. Now, on my 3rd set of tires (Pirellis this time). Only about 7k miles so far, but I’m interested to see if the tire wear will be the same. I’ve heard that the Pirellis don’t last as long.

I got my full front done, and it was certainly worth it. 5.5 years and not a single scratch, rock chip, nothing. Front still looks brand new, (as does the rest of the car). So happy with the choice, when I received the 2023 Model 3, I didn’t hesitate. Same full front, headlights, mirror backs...

I had my first battery replaced after about 2 1/2 years under warranty, and I did the second one myself in the garage a few months ago. I also replaced my cabin air filter and cleaned with Kool It, following that up with Lysol. Ran HVAC on high heat for both, and the results were great!

Great choice. Newer is usually better, all other considerations being similar.

I hand wash with foam cannon, and dry with Wax as You Dry, for both cars pretty regularly. I have also used automated washes with zero detectable drawbacks. I consistently get looks and words of disbelief when I reveal the 2018’s age and mileage.

So is the shipping time really that much longer than other long-sit times like when they’re on Tesla lots after before delivery? I’ve never heard of this before with any other manufacturer.

My lifetime efficiency's 267, so not shabby at all considering 5.5 years, 20" wheels/tires, and all that the P model brings to the table. I'm contemplating changing to an 18" setup next time I need tires, to see what efficiency improvements that would net. Sounds like it'd be well under 160. But...

I agree on the dryer sheets. Even the cheapest ones you can find are excellent at removing bugs super easily, especially if you get to them quickly. Use lots of water, let it sit for a few minutes and then wipe off.

I’ve found getting them off as soon as possible is the best way to prevent damage. I try to never leave them on overnight, even if I’m not going to wash the whole car.

I rented one a few months back in Miami that was fully functional horsepower wise.

I’d definitely remove that roof rack, to not give them anything to blame before you get it to the SC.

I'm reminded of the early Model 3 days, when anyone would make reference to, or ask a question referring to, their car's model year and they'd get shouted down that "Tesla doesn't do model years!" I can't remember what exactly prompted that often trumpeted assertion but looking back its interesting.

I've just passed 100,000 miles on my 2018 P, and I am amazed at how little attention its needed. Least maintenance / repair vehicle I have ever owned, over more than 4 decades. This is amazing, and needs to be trumpeted from the hilltops!

I have an Aladdin setup on my Genie garage door opener, and it works perfectly. No extra charges and it’s perfectly compatible with the Tesla system. It has an app, so I can control the garage door remotely, with or without the car nearby. Between the Genie / Aladdin system and Homelink garage...

I’ve had clear ceramic (70%) on my windshield, and love it! I had it done in the Tampa area in Florida, and my cost was $300.
