Think they might decommission & remove the old V2 site once this one is active? Seems a bit superfluous at that point.

They put those in like a year or so back, kind of a bandaid to quickly and easily add a couple of stalls to an overloaded (at the time) charger. Slow at 72kw, but when it’s busy you don’t get much faster than that on a V2 anyway.

I’m used to paying 30 or 40 cents at Burlington so… 😑

Anyone done some recent permit sleuthing here? Drove past today and there's been some construction activity, looks like pads for electrical gear, but nothing obvious in the actual parking area I could see.

Magic Docks are in the wild now, around a dozen sites so far. Built-in adapter lets non-Teslas Supercharge too.

And Teslas with trailers. 😜. If that’s what this layout ends up being, it’s fairly common in Europe from what I’ve seen on Twitter. Very curious if this will be a V4/Magic Dock charger, especially with another one going in just a few miles up the highway.

Aren’t there overheating issues beyond a certain point tho? That much current over ever-longer wires does get hot, they needed that liquid cooling for a reason, no?

Not at all. A charger like this would only need one, two at the most. Just a simple pull-thru two standard spaces long would cover the vast majority of use cases, that’s very easy to design for before things are submitted, all it needs is a little forethought. And if you don’t think people are...

Cybertruck is coming. Tesla really, really needs to start considering trailers in its SC layouts. It’s such an easy, low-cost thing if they just design a little differently.

I drive by a couple times a day, but just on the street. Real hard to see anything back there but doesn’t look like anything going on yet, I figure an excavator & some pallets of Tesla swag should be visible But no guarantee.

You may be on to something there… Hardware is on site, including the white equipment cabinet. Didn’t get a look in the trench but there are lightpost footers installed, too.

They literally just starter construction last week. I think it'll be a while before any equipment shows up either way, but I think I'll check again next week.

We should be so lucky, the one in Tukwila has been languishing for the better part of a year, now.

So, I just checked the permit on the link above, and it's listed as "withdrawn." It's been a year now, is that to be expected or a sign of trouble with this location?
