Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
Ok so this puts my mind at ease somewhat. Next question is why would tesla service just say 500 quid and not suggest it could be due to air con? I've followed up to ask direct via the app so will see what they say 🤞🏼
Update on mine. My car was on a ramp yesterday having a maxton rear valance put on..I noticed dripping from the front. It seemed to be water as no chemical odour. I rarely use air con but did have it on due to good weather. Is it possible its dripping due to moisture?
I've sent a pic to tesla...
I have a question: I am sure I read that the maps would have some sort of speed camera icon notification on the maps - did this ever come in as it's certainly not on my 2019 Model S. On a side note, I used my auto park to get in a tight parallel parking spot the other week, it was brilliant. I...
I strongly believe that when fsd finally arrives in about 5 years the intel cars won't be able to use it and Mr Musk will have to refund a lot of folk who have hung on. There'll be ambulance chasers everywhere like dieselgate
How do I do a bms calibration?
I set off with 85% from a trickle charge and needed 3 supercharge stops in Perth, Abington and Tebay. Driving was a mixture of Scottish Highland roads to a max of 60 and mway. Mway was between 70 and 80 mostly with a little at 50 for roadworks.
I've just...
So I have a model s 2019. Just got back from a long drive from Scotland. I arrived home with 8% Battery this evening. Plugged in ready for the charge with usually starts during me off peak..from 11:30. Checked the app 3 hours later and battery % had gone down to 3%
Is this normal?
I read online that for London types they will also pay the "congestion" charge after Dec 2025 - Well all them smokers have died off so they need to recoup that tax and all the fuel duty they will lose with the move to electric
Love this response. I'd settle for camera upgrades if it was at all possible - live view, blind spots etc. Surely thats not a HW issue and more a memory issue? I'd remove some existing features if it freed up space for more useful things. I'm sure your tech knowledge may say that idea isn't...
I never said I couldn't afford it. For people who cannot it will be the only option for them. For some people it will mean public transport only, which in this country is dreadful.
People are being priced off the roads, not for real good reasons, but for greed, which is my point.
My other point...
They should offer a dash upgrade for legacy S or X. Probably cost a couple grand which is the cost from going to 2.5 to 3.0
I'd be interested if any Modders have replaced a crashed new interior to legacy
Finally managed to get car professionally cleaned since I fitted the kit. Weather's just been awful. Some images for your pleasure.
Next steps are to get a ceramic recoat and my spoiler re attached to finish the look.
Just the build quality is better. Shutting the doors feels more premium. It has door bins...the little things. Centre console is lovely.
Tbh there's no reason tesla couldn't offer an interior upgrade to legacy S and X
And compared to my 2019 model S the interior build quality is night and day
The new S feels almost audi quality on the interior. Everything feels exceptionally solid. So much has changed yet so much is identical to my car. Unfortunately LHD is a non starter.
The 3 has same level of interior...
Well if it is for the one valve it should take half the time hopefully. Half the labour and cost for just the single valve. That would tie in with someone else mentioning theirs cost about 280 quid
Wonder if the cold has caused it - minus 6 here today and don't think its been that cold in the...
It's robbery is what its is..and we all sit there and take it instead of refusing to pay..if we all refused renewals and got the bus/train for a few weeks most of these insurance firms would go under and the rest would soon fall into line and provide acceptable prices
I'll grab some tomorrow morning. Yes. Very happy..proper transformed Interior. I had the piano black finish and it just was full if light surface scratches which annoyed me.
He had the car a couple days but was delayed as the wrap didn't arrive on time. I reckon he could knock it out in full...
Lighting is called a symphony package from Jmr customs
https://www.jmrcustomsuk.com/our-work/
Wrap was a matt black carbon wrap. Cost 150 quid
Lights cost 450 but can be cheaper depending on the package.
I got something called symphony package..came in about 400 for dash front and rear doors and 4 footwells. Symphony gives me full control of all colours plus animations including putting it to music. TBH I don't bother with that and have it a static red unless mood means I fancy changing it...
The Rsymons YT channel had a comparison between the two. Horses for courses was the decision but ultimately the X was the better drive and more comfy car. Y has the edge on efficency
I got my missus to sit in a model Y. She says she can't have a car with no dash. Single screen doesn't work for her and she hated the wooden dash. Model X legacy it is then 🤣🤣
Just be good to have a definitive date of arrival. Based on what I've seen fro. Videos I think I'd drop 3.4k to upgrade to FSD on my Model S. Problem is musk will just surprise announce it complete with a 5-10k increase in price
Yeah, they don't add much to the ground clearance compared to other kits, and they aren't as "in your face" as other kits IMO anyway. Not too fussed on the cleaning aspect. I just dont want to get it then hear rattles or whistling wind noise and have a bunch of screw holes left if i have to...
In addition to some recent upgrades, I am considering the full Maxton kit for my 2019 Model S. I think it really looks understated but adds a greatly improved visual look to the standard car.
Is there anyone else who has this on either the S or any other Tesla who can tell me if adding these...
