Supercharger - Bryce Canyon City, UT

Moderator note: This post, plus some of those following, were merged from a different thread. Marco's latest discovery: Bryce Canyon City supercharger at Ruby's Inn. This supercharger won Q2 2023 voting winner. 8 stalls. Hopefully v4. Can't tell from the plans.

    Supercharger - Orem, UT

Not sure how this snuck under our nose but New Supercharger in Orem at the hotel right south of Krispy Kreme! 8 stalls no magic dock. 1000kva site transformer. Cabinets are still only V3 500v 😔 Looks like it just waiting for final inspection and a power meter from RMP. Glad too see another...

Up and going! Only getting 88kw but was at 50% and cold battery.

    Supercharger - Provo, UT

I swing by at about 4PM today and there was someone in a Black Model Y at the very end by the cabinets. All of the side panels were off the stalls. Looks like he was probably doing the last checks and programing. Might actually be up and going tomorrow.

    Supercharger - Provo, UT

Yep. If you have a solid L2, no need to worry. I’ve had my MY 2 years now and and the only time I’ve supercharged in the valley was right after I picked it up. I stopped in Draper just to try it out, I was excited Ya know.

New Service and Delivery Center in Riverdale, UT

New service and delivery center location in Riverdale, UT. Looks to only have 2 supercharger and will probably be private service center use only similar to PG. Sad to see them not put more superchargers at service center locations. I just don't get that, they already have the land and are...

    Supercharger - Provo, UT

Permits finally issued! - 6/28! Hopefully we see construction soon within a week or so. Seems like Tesla is pretty on it once they have permits.

    Supercharger - Provo, UT

Only other DCFC charger in Provo is a Chargepoint install at Starbucks not too far from the proposed site. It looks like the permit for that was just over a month in review. So today would be exactly one month since application. So it should be issued any day now. I did drive by the site...

    Supercharger - Provo, UT

Come on Provo. Step it up. According to the city the permit is still in plan check. South Jordan is gonna be installed and ready before Provo is even permitted.

    Supercharger - Midvale, UT

New supercharger location in Midvale. 8 v3 stalls. IMO the rest of Utah need more locations not Salt Lake County.

    Utah Tesla Owners

Oh that is much needed. The stretch from Page to Beaver is rough. Less worried now with my CCS adapter. A more unpopular one that I would love is one on the north side of Lake Powell, like Hanksville. And some proper L2 chargers in national parks.

    Pleasant Grove, UT

In the leaked supercharger list last week, Provo is supposed to be getting one. But according to Provo city, they still haven’t filled a building permit at that address. So that means it’s still like a year out. :/

    Pleasant Grove, UT

It’s coming along! They were epoxying the shop floor today. Showroom looked mostly in place. Sad to only see 2 superchargers. I wonder if they’re only for Tesla use and not public. I know the v2 at the showroom in SLC is pretty much just used for new deliveries. They had papers on the chargers...

Looking good! Very exciting. SLC service center said the goal was to have it open by end of October. Looks like they won't be too far off. Definitely should be open by end of year.

    HomeLink DIY install

Is the module already installed? If so you should test my Service Mode -> Software Reinstall trick. It wouldn’t hurt anything to give it a shot and it might just work.

    HomeLink DIY install

Hey guys I just had a buddy pick up his M3 yesterday and I was telling him how legit Homelink is. I bought mine from Tesla and they installed it. But my thought is: After following the rabbit hole of CCS retrofit, service mode and software reinstall seems kinda powerful for all things DIY and...

Giga Texas Model Y Accelerate Delivery Offer

Interesting they come with 1-year premium connectivity. Seems like they are really squeezing every last bit of value from these for the high price tag even with the smaller battery pack.

Retrofit CCS compatibility onto earlier (NA) Model 3 - DIY approach

Anyone struggling to get a 00-B? I ordered one from my SC and got impatient and snagged one from eBay. 2 days after delivery from eBay they call me told me it had came in. Already paid for it so I figured I’d just take it.

    CCS Adapter - ?

Does EVgo charge for kWh at all anywhere? Here in Utah they charge per minute too when everyone else charges by kWh.

    Battery heating when Supercharging

Yeah lower wattage DC kinda sucks. I only get like 33-34kw on a 50kw (125amp) DCFC, while the charger says its outputting 43-44kw. But yeah heat pumps are great. Even though they are only drawing ~4kw they are "producing"/pumping more like 8-9kw of heat plus the ~6-7kw from the stators. Quite a...

    Battery heating when Supercharging

Keep in mind. You have a heat pump car, the stators don't have to be active when heating. In my experience the stators only kick in when it needs max heat quickly. The stators stop heating after the battery coolant inlet temp gets about ~130F and then it will kick to heat pump heating only to...

Retrofit CCS compatibility onto earlier (NA) Model 3 - DIY approach

You have a Gen4 battery and a 80-B ECU. All you have to do is get a 00-B ECU and swap it out. No special wires/adapters needed. I highly recommend you read this whole thread.

Retrofit CCS compatibility onto earlier (NA) Model 3 - DIY approach

Boom. Out with the old. In with the new. Drove up to the SC and popped into service mode. Tore open the trunk. And just yanked the ECU without shutting down or anything 😬 Screen started to throw a couple errors. Hit software reinstall. 15 min later all good! CCS Enabled. Thanks y’all.

Retrofit CCS compatibility onto earlier (NA) Model 3 - DIY approach

Stickers don’t mean much. For example v3 super chargers say they’re only rated for 350A but they output over 600amps to get up to 250kw. Here’s the sticker on a v3 supercharger: https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/posts/6250287/ The adapter is completely passive. It’s also very heavy and feels...

Retrofit CCS compatibility onto earlier (NA) Model 3 - DIY approach

I snagged the one on eBay. Almost 2 weeks since I ordered and paid for an ECU through my local SC. Got tired of waiting. And my invoice says 80-B. If I do end up getting a 00-B from Tesla I’ll throw it back at Ya guys. Sounds like they really are delivering cars, at least to local delivery...

Retrofit CCS compatibility onto earlier (NA) Model 3 - DIY approach

Just check my tesla app where it shows a service appointment with no date, kinda weird how it handles the OTC order. But it says 1537264-80-B as the part number! I told the guy I wanted to order a 00-B. On the description it says "Parts Replaced or Added" does that mean I'll be getting a...

Retrofit CCS compatibility onto earlier (NA) Model 3 - DIY approach

For those that ordered a 1537264-00-B from your local SC, how long did it take? Someone said 1 day. Just wanted to find out what others are experiencing. I ordered mine Monday (4-18) and they said they would give me a call when they got in it. I'll give them a call Monday. I'm just getting...

Retrofit CCS compatibility onto earlier (NA) Model 3 - DIY approach

Just ordered a 1537264-00-B at my local service center to replace my 1537264-80-B in my Aug 2021 MY, today. Paid for it no questions asked. It's going to be shipped to the SC and then they'll call me to come pick it up. Ordered a CCS1 adapter through harum.io. I can almost taste the electrons...

    Pleasant Grove, UT

Just heard about this new SC and showroom from a buddy that picked up his car this week. Much needed! Salt Lake is very busy both the Showroom and SC. They are like 2 weeks plus for a regular appointment. But I originally heard that they are moving to PG. Does this mean that they are closing...

    Will these wheels fit MYP?
