    2024 MY "Price Adjustment" Math

You can if you compare a refreshed and much better M3 versus a 3 year old MY. Also possible better production efficiency with MY over M3 And then the $7500 tax discount impacts net price which only applies to MY and expensive M3 Performance.

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

Weeeell, they were not fired directly, not due to personal performance, but yes there will be clear distrust in management, especially Elon, and loss of moral.

    2024 MY "Price Adjustment" Math

We have seen recent price drops, APR = 0.99%, and Long Range unlock on RWD MY We also have seen that Tesla had its first 1Q sales drop in the history of Tesla making cars. Additionally Tesla's are filling up services centers and even nearby shopping malls (I have seen them). Conversely there...

Elon Musk Discussion - Tesla Brand Damage

Agree it looks more like traditional truck than CT, but it is much more distinct than others. A couple years ago one of the news groups (cant find it :( ) quizzed people to ID truck with maker, and most participants were unable to match them. Rivian is visually unique, even the rear with that...

Elon Musk Discussion - Tesla Brand Damage

Agree with all your other points, however I think the CT looks are exactly what is needed. Why? About 20 years ago Dodge introduced a truck design that did a away with the boxy front end, looked a little more like a semi-truck. It turned out to be extremely polarizing, some despised it, but...

Effort to Unionize closer to succeeding in 2024.

With the 1Q 2024 push to reduce workforce numbers and especially the surprise firing and disintegration of Tesla's "crown jewel" Super Charger team, the workforce know they can be fired at any moment for any reason, including by actions of someone else they might not even know. With that axe...

Get a simple switch and connect your devices to that, and 1 line to your main switch. It should figure itself out and talk with server. https://www.amazon.com/Computer-Networking-Switches/b?ie=UTF8&node=281414 You could put that on battery backup (if no powerwall)

Elon Musk Discussion - Tesla Brand Damage

IMHO its not so much guardrails, its listening and humility (and not let Ego take over). There is that video where Munro was super critcal about M3, called it a terrible design. Elon paid him a visit and listened, result was the amazing cars we have today. Everything I have read is Elon...

Elon Musk Discussion - Tesla Brand Damage

Critical of the Trump administration I will note. This was almost 7 months before election and Trump was calling shots on the COVID response. You know, use industrial cleaner injections (Trump said that April 24, 5 days earlier)?

Elon Musk Discussion - Tesla Brand Damage

I am in the VERY disappointed camp. He is clearly becoming erratic, stubborn, inflexible, and emotional. I think he is loosing view of his long term goals over short term spats. Recommend he take a few months off from companies and let his excellent team take over.

Protesters attempt to storm Tesla’s factory in Germany

Do they rather want Chinese cars instead? (I know the M3 is made in China, hopefully less sweathouse conditions that most Chinese factories)
  23. MontyFloyd

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

IMHO Elon was giving conflicting goals: Expand the network, but rapidly cut the workforce. Rebecca Tinnucci likely was saying this was too aggressive cutback for goals, needed time to finish up existing plans, and Elon simply would not listen to, consider alternate drawdown plans.
  24. MontyFloyd

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

Sounds more like Elon knows he F-ed up big time, hammer on thumb, shot his foot, tunnel carpel syndrome, cracked his phone screen from excessive tweeting, bounced his check. Look on bright side, Elon is now an Oxford Dictionary entry, under "Dumbsizing".

Yeup! Last night as I was laying in bed I was actually thinking: If I had a lot of money I would be grabbing all those people and start my own charger installer business! And then stick it to Elon by installing CCS1 everywhere a SC was going to go! (wanted to post this earlier, but I have to...

She said can't be done, Elon cuts off a successful appendage of Tesla to prove he can. Talk about cutting off nose to spite face!! HOWEVER: I will say she should have asked for more time to prepare of reduction of staff, and offer up 16% reduction.
  28. MontyFloyd

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

There is 2 details: 1. If the head of division is not executing an order, fire her and get someone else in to downsize. IIRC, Elon wanted a 20% reduction, why suddenly eliminate 100% and an entire organization to grow what many argue is the most valuable part of the entire company (with...

Hertz charger $277 for *gasoline* to fill-up a Model 3

This is head scratcher. Charging $277 for gasoline fill-up a Model 3 (and $277 is at least 55 gallons worth of gas!!) Hertz Charges Tesla Model 3 Renter $277 Fee for Gas, Won’t Back Down On top of the, the renter also paid ahead for fill-up, so should not have even received that charge! (PS, a...

Elon fires the head of SuperChargers and much (all?) of the SuperCharger team - how will this affect new SCs?

Big doubt. Tesla stopping its network will not magically make CCS1 great.
  31. MontyFloyd

Elon fires the head of SuperChargers and much (all?) of the SuperCharger team - how will this affect new SCs?

But who will make the arrangement? Seems like Tesla needs to start from scratch to even sell SC for others to install. Of all the "Dumbsizing" examples in dictionary, this may be the best example of all.

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

DUMB SIZING In the early 1990's companies went into a crazy spiral of laying off like crazy, a race to the bottom. The purpose to reduce costs went too deep and reduced talent, resulting in loss of productivity and actually increased costs as a result! I am sure the SC unit could be reduced...

Discussion : All discussion regarding Model 3 and Tax credit in model 3 subforum

SO, question: If I order a M3P, I need to show my 2023 1040 to Tesla to get the $7500 credit? Also: I installed Solar in 2023 too (Home efficiency improvements), had a full refund for 2023 and have some more of that refund that will carry over into 2024, will that affect the $7500?

How can I receive a "Referral link" without a major purchase?

I have a number of friends who are curious to serious about Tesla products.
