That’s wayyyy too deep for me. For me, it’s what I’m willing to pay for within EAP ($20/month) that makes it more enjoyable….auto lane change. Period. Summon will add another $5 when it works…same for banish eventually. I’d pay $30/month. Repeat, I LIKE to drive my car.

First of all, I’m a Tesla lover (not a hater). It’s an absolute joy to drive my car…and that’s my point…I enjoy driving it! EAP…worth 20/month IMO. FSD…not worth it…period. It’s a fun trick to show friends, especially on roundabouts with no traffic (“hey guys, look, my car can drive itself”)...

Take it from somebody that rents it every few months just for fun and see how close…or far away it is. I just rented a few days ago…first time in five months. I mean, it’s fun, it’s impressive, but we remain YEARS and 1-2 hardware upgrades before it’s hands free.

Here’s a data point for ya. In Indiana we have four seasons so there is a mix of hold, cold, and mild. Car is garage kept at home and kept plugged in…so it preconditions on AC power when needed. Windows are tinted (35 on sides, 80 on windshield) which helps some I’m sure but I never saw data...

I tried all the usual online places and my quotes ranged from 22-30.5k. Granted I had an accident with a 20k repair eight months ago. Otherwise, yes, I would have traded my 21 M3LRb in for a ’23. I’d have paid 5k….but no way I’m trading in at this rate…I’d want 38-42ish to pull the trigger.

Traded in my 21 Tahoe for a 22 Tahoe a few months ago. Made 2k to essentially roll 16k miles off the odometer. It mostly sits idle in the garage next to my Tesla…only coming out when seating for 6 is required. I do like the idea of one ICE and one EV…for now and at least a few more years.

Nope. I was in a Tesla provided rental with FSD for three months and that experience proved that ONLY auto lane change was valuable beyond basic AP. I’d buy that as an ala carte option for maybe….$500. That’s it. I’ll be damned if I get into a monthly subscription for EAP for anything beyond...
