Supercharger - Okeechobee, FL (Yeehaw Junction)

Unfortunately, the reported stated Superchargers provide a full charge in about an hour. Technically true in some cases but all of us long distance travelers know that is not how you travel on a road trip. Most stops are about 15 to 20 minutes.

There some major transmission lines that pass by that area. Tapping off them is an option but I don’t know if a switch yard is nearby or would have to be built.

My brother lives on 120v as well. Not a problem.

The yellow star means it was voted on by the Tesla community and accepted by Tesla as a future location. You can vote here if you have a Tesla login: https://www.tesla.com/supercharger-voting/overview

Supercharger - Fort Pierce, FL - Peters Rd

Seems like an odd choice. That is located in an old outlet strip mall that is mostly desolate. Really, onlythe Burger King is in business. I would not stop there at night, I'd head across to the Wawa on the other side of I-95. Perhaps the developer is revitalizing the mall.

    Supercharger - Spartanburg, SC

When driving to Asheville I can make it from the new Superchanrger in Cayce to the Superchrager in the Biltmore Park shopping center in my Model Y LR. But, I hope this Supercharger is in service this week.

Drove by this weekend. Nothing happening yet.
  17. MWhy

    Supercharger - Spartanburg, SC

The Supercharger in Cayce was delayed waiting on a transformer and several locations in Florida got delayed for the same reason. Not sure if this is a lack of transformer supply or local power companies unable to keep up with installations.

    Supercharger - Chipley, FL

Perfect timing! I'll be passing that way next month.

How to fit Michelin XT Silicone wiper blades on the 2021 Y's new wiper hardware?

I wish I saw your post earlier. I have the same problem with my 2020 Model Y. Driver side is good because the arm does not tuck under the hood but the passenger side slams into the edge of the hood when it tries to store itself after the wipers turn off.

    Supercharger - Spartanburg, SC

I noticed on Tesla's "Find Us" page that the expected opening is Q2 whereas it previously was listed as Q1. Might be a while for the power to be brought in and the transformer and meter to be installed.
  21. MWhy

    Supercharger - Spartanburg, SC

Looks like good progress on the Tesla side of the installation but the big question is "Will the power company get the transformer and meter installed and commissioned quickly?".

    Supercharger - Spartanburg, SC

I looked on Google maps and the "entry" sign corresponds to the BK entry sign in streetview and the building in the background is Guitar Center and that also checks out according to Google. So the location appears correct. The address checks out with the inadvertent dump by Tesla, late last...

Woohoo! This will make my next trip to Asheville soooo much easier. No more stopping in Columbia and having to stretch the charge to its limit. Thanks for the update!

Well there are several in Greenville and one is scheduled for Spartanburg in Q1 of this year. So, not where you want it but it should help.

    Supercharger - Cayce, SC

There is a Subway in the shopping center that is open till 9PM on weekdays, closes earlier on the weekends. This will certainly be an easier in & out for I-26 traveling compared to the Supercharge at Harbison Blvd in Columbia. I was hoping they would start on the Spartanburg location before...

GPS issue since the past few weeks

That is a shame. My Model Y seems to be happy since its upgrade to FSD 10.69.x. I guess the different models may have different issues due to camera vs GPS proximity.

GPS issue since the past few weeks

I received FSD 10.69.2.3 this morning and the GPS issue remains "solved". What I mean by "solved" is that GPS tracking is accurate.

GPS issue since the past few weeks

Its been almost a week and a half since receiving FSD 10.69.2.2 (2022.20.17) and I have not had a single GPS issue. Normally. I'd have 3 or 4 per day. I think Gigaron is correct that the cabin camera is off. I have tried briefly covering the lens and looking down at my phone many times and...

GPS issue since the past few weeks

I have an iPhone and am using the GPS Plan app. There are similar ones for Android. There are several screens but the one I'm talking about is a multi-colored line graph that list PDOP, HDOP, VDOP and TDOP which all show different aspects of the measure of precision.

GPS issue since the past few weeks

Interesting observation. GPS operates at 1.5GHz and there is no broadcast TV or radio near that frequency in the U.S. So it is unlikely unless you are very close to the tower and there is what is called intermodulation that places a harmonic frequency near 1.5GHz. What I did was use a GPS app on...

GPS issue since the past few weeks

Turning off the camera in the cabin is a potential band-aid. I sort of doubt that they turn it off 100% of the time. My guess is they look at the GPS DOP and when the signal is low and most susceptible to camera radiated interference they turn it off. At least that would be my approach if I had...

GPS issue since the past few weeks

After updating to FSD Beta 10.69.2.2 (2022.20.17), I have not experienced any more GPS issues. However, temperatures in Central Florida are now lower and I do believe I observed a temperature dependent component to all of this.

Bad GPS Kills FSD, Autopilot, TACC

Actually, Tesla is taking this very seriously. I'm scheduled to meet with an engineer tomorrow for a ride-along. They will connect to my car and record all the data in an attempt to capture the problem so they can analyze it. Should be fun. :)

I don't see any provision for a transformer or meter nor cable plant for one to be added. Did it look like they sent cabling over to the substation?

Bad GPS Kills FSD, Autopilot, TACC

Starting about 3 weeks ago, my 2020 Model Y LR began dropping out of FSD mode and alerting me to take over immediately. Upon taking control, a message on the Nav screen said it failed due to a system error. Additionally, I began to experience FSD randomly slowing down and then momentarily...

I hope it can be completed before my trip in the first week of October. I've noted some installs go very fast but get delayed due lack of transformer availability. Being near the substation might help.

Tesla CCS1 Adapter: Current Draw Above Specs

I've been watching a number of YouTube videos from folks using the Tesla CCS1 Adapter that they ordered from Korea. In nearly all of them they are pleased to be getting more than 150kW power delivery. I have a concern. Looking at this video I see that the label states the current limit to be...

    Practical jump starting solution?

Buy an A23 battery. It's about half the size of a AA battery but delivers 12V and enough current to open the frunk latch. I wrapped mine in plastic and twist-tied it to the wires behind the tow hook access panel.

    Supercharger - Orangeburg, SC

Yes, a charger near Clinton would be great. It would split the distance between Orangeburg and Asheville. I have a vacation scheduled for October near Asheville (traveling from Florida) and either a Tesla Supercharger or a CCS DCFC & Tesla releasing the CCS adapter in USA would be much...
