2022.28.1 — Official Release Notes and Discussion

Yeah, that was such a weird limitation... I don't get why it's taken so long to add controller support to the glovebox USB port..

2022.28.1 — Official Release Notes and Discussion

Maybe but the issue is, the routes could always incorporate highways, they need to add a definitive toggle.

Navigate On Autopilot Fork Initiation now required in Europe. (UN/ECE Reg. 79)

Manufacturers will not be happy with having to take full responsibility and liability for any collisions. The KBA are continuing to investigate Autopilot and they said that more changes will need to be made to Autopilot to ensure it's compliant otherwise Autopilot will be disabled on all cars...

    I already answered that above.

2018 MR vs 2022 RWD Model 3 - great progress

It was fixed with the update that started telling everyone to charge their car to 100% - solved ages ago.

2018 MR vs 2022 RWD Model 3 - great progress

I speak regularly with a lot of people on the Tesla hardware & software side of things. I think it first got major attention when @tesla_adri tweeted about it and Elon replied to someone who retweeted.

2018 MR vs 2022 RWD Model 3 - great progress

Found this on Google: https://www.autoevolution.com/news/tesla-moves-to-solve-the-problem-of-dying-12-volt-li-ion-batteries-on-the-lfp-model-3-183306.html Haven't personally read the article but Googling "12V LFP Tesla Issues" gives loads of results.

2018 MR vs 2022 RWD Model 3 - great progress

Yeah it only says that because of the 12V battery issues that was killing the 12V battery in the cars - as far as I understand it, the HV batteries weren't being calibrated correctly out of the factory and have a calibration issue which would cause it to stop charging the 12V and would kill it.

In Driver Profiles, you can check "Easy Entry" which will create a new 'Easy Entry' profile.

    Self-driving cars UK Discussion

Weirdly I didn't get a notification for this tag but yeah, car works completely fine and as expected without the ECE restrictions. If it wasn't for the ECE regulations, our cars would be identical to the Australian ones (RHD & not bound by UNECE so unrestricted).

Tesla Vision coming to radar-equipped cars on 2022.24.6

Exactly why I always use Apple and their M1 chip as an example of this. An in-house designed propriety chip will always be leading class due to the optimisation. Tesla designed their own chip and look at what it's capable of so far, imagine Tesla Chip Gen-2
  18. joexn

Tesla Vision coming to radar-equipped cars on 2022.24.6

No, repeater cameras are RCCC but FSD requires RCCB Correct, data is from Model S & X owners from the fleet.

Tesla Vision coming to radar-equipped cars on 2022.24.6

You need HW3 and the camera upgrade for Tesla Vision.

Tesla Vision coming to radar-equipped cars on 2022.24.6

Utter bollocks, that's just your take on it. Look how much Elon has tweeted about over the years, and then look at much has actually been implemented - I'd say about 20%. He said that 3&Y would get smart shift, windows would auto close if it rains, he has been teasing reverse summon for years...

Tesla Vision coming to radar-equipped cars on 2022.24.6

"Aiming" is not a promise! Everyone keeps saying that Elon promised - no he didn't, he just tweeted. Just as he tweeted that 3 & Y will also get Smart Shift
  22. joexn

Tesla Vision coming to radar-equipped cars on 2022.24.6

They've added speed assist, which is an improvement. UK speed signs are now read and auto adjusted (albeit not in the right amount of time) and the second tweet is regarding FSD Beta.

Tesla Vision coming to radar-equipped cars on 2022.24.6

I don't recall Elon promising anything about AP? Care to share a link? And no, this is being worked on now.

Tesla Vision coming to radar-equipped cars on 2022.24.6

Yes that site is frequently wrong. They initially posted that 2022.24.6 contained bug fixes only on Twitter and only after I shared that 2022.24.6 has Tesla Vision, they updated it. What's funny is Tesla Updates (Tesla Release Notes, News, Leaks and Software Information | Tesla Updates)...

API call latest_vehicle_data still returns 408 when asleep

Yeah, because nothing uses the latest_vehicle_data endpoint yet.
  30. joexn

Tesla Vision coming to radar-equipped cars on 2022.24.6

It's 85mph now. We didn't start at 80mph with 2022.24.6 It's forced with Vision AP so I think they were referring to that.
  31. joexn

    2022.20.9 - Tesla Vision impressions

Yeah radar can see objects, not painted lines.
  32. joexn

API call latest_vehicle_data still returns 408 when asleep

No, data is the new format for the data; which will SOON be cached. Legacy is the old style of data, I'm guessing to compare whilst they're making changes

    Self-driving cars UK Discussion

Plus the feature still uses cellular/data, it only uses Bluetooth as a verification of presence (as required by UN-ECE)

Bluetooth is forced by UNECE, so how is that in Teslas control?
  35. joexn

Tesla Vision coming to radar-equipped cars on 2022.24.6

Unlikely as MCU1 only just received the V11 update (2022.8.something) and this update requires MCU2 or MCU3 so unlikely. Technically your hardware should support it but being MCU1 I do doubt it. I could be wrong though, MCU1 + newer FSD computer update stuff isn't my area of expertise.
  36. joexn

Tesla Vision coming to radar-equipped cars on 2022.24.6

I'd bet a lot that this is HW3 only.
  37. joexn

Tesla Vision coming to radar-equipped cars on 2022.24.6

Can you show some proof that it was in the 2022.24.5 notes? 2022.20.9 was only available in NA and AU as Tesla was testing it on cars there. 2022.24.6 had the 2022.20.9 update merged into it which is why it's under the 2022.20 group. I didn't see it on the release notes on a car running...

You're completely wrong. This owner subscribed to FSD, which is US-only but they live in Brazil. They lied to pay monthly & Tesla has caught on.

FSD Beta v10.69.1 (2022.20.10) Release Notes

I thought it warranted one considering it's now on 2022.20 compared to 2022.16 so there are new features alongside FSD Beta. Owners are still on the 2022.12 branch so it's a big difference.

I'm in the UK, where we still are limited by UNECE regulations so our cars can't even steer properly. This sounds like heaven!
