Start in 2026... affordable... yet still a Rivian... there will be serious Osbourning of existing models for years to come... not good for Rivian in the short/medium term.

Did anyone see the post(s) from Brad Ferguson (of Rebellionaire) pointing out that Joe Justice only worked at Tesla for 2 months (!!), yet we treat him like the ultimate Tesla expert? He had an image from LinkedIn noting the 2-month tenure, and Joe even replied and confirmed he worked for 2...

Are any of the loans/agreements used to purchase Twitter tied/backed up by Elon's compensation package, which seemed like a solid bet at the time?

In addition to money from X, there's Starlink IPO and sale of private SpaceX shares... X is still in a big hole though. Going back to the big post by @Artful Dodger, I've been worrying a bit for a while about how it is in Elon's interest to keep the share price low: cheaper to buy new...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

He's been a vocal supporter for many years, and represents a younger generation, which is good. He started buying $TSLA early... 2013? And it is his largest position by far; he has not sold much over the years and, when he has, it has been to invest in start-ups. He's been quiet on Tesla in the...

The more markets that Tesla enters, the more geographic/economic diversification we get; just pump more cars into another country if one temporarily slows down. We're already seeing this make a HUGE difference in Europe, and there are so many countries we have yet to formally enter!! While most...

I wonder if Tesla could get temporary German plates and offer an incentive for new owners to take delivery at Giga Berlin (reduce the vehicle price by the shipping cost); include a free Giga Berlin factory tour and some other perks. Tesla could hire buses to get all the Scandinavians to Giga Berlin.

Again, it would have to be a really good deal... "pennies on the dollar", and that dollar would be on the *future* price of Rivian once investors give up on them. And I'm not saying they *should* do this... just that there is a less-than-zero chance they could. You say you are "a fan of...

I don't think you read my post! - *wait* until investors give up on Rivian's money-losing ways - buy Rivian in a hostile take-over at *pennies on the dollar* - *drastically improve* the efficiencies of their R1-S and R1-T [and the delivery truck] - fire 80% of the people - there's a greater...

Tesla can wait until investors give up on Rivian's money-losing ways, and then buy Rivian in a hostile take-over at pennies on the dollar... then drastically improve the efficiencies of their R1-S and R1-T, and gain an instant entry into the conventional-looking truck/SUV market (and the...

*This* is the *EXACT* kind of hype that gets us all in trouble... we hear these glowing anecdotes and how Tesla is going to DESTROY/DOMINATE, then stock price crashes and we sulk for a few months.... By the way, I love the hype!! Keep up the good work!!! 😂 😂 😂 😂 Let's goooOoOOOoOo...

Yep; I have a friend with an R1T and another with a R1S... riding in them, I can't help but be very disappointed in the giant, boxy front of the vehicles... Rivian did not have the balls to think from 1st principles and instead followed the status quo of truck/SUV shapes... the result is bad...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

This is not off topic, as the more money that X.com can make from subscriptions, the sooner X.com is printing money, and the less likely Elon has to sell $TSLA to pay X-related debts. If Elon pulls off an uber-successful Twitter-X transition, it will also lend more credibility/certainty to the...

Informative. A couple of items I'm not sure about though... saying BYD was the 2021 top seller of EVs in China: this includes PHEVs (BYD sold ~321K BEVs; Tesla sold ~473k?). Also, the image of an article noting a 1.1M-vehicle "recall" about acceleration/braking risks; I'm assuming it was just a...

I disagree that the decision as to which battery storage system is purchased by a utility is a 100% financial decision. This would be the case if an engineering consultant had done a very detailed design of what was to be built, and if the general contractors/subcontractors were prequalified...

Hmmmm... a bunch of "analysts" jumping ship... some could say that they may know something (earnings call will disappoint), but I'm assuming they just want the uninformed to sell so that they can get into $TSLA at a lower price. HODL it is.

Most saltwater marinas will have shore power... 120V 30A is pretty standard... but some places will have 125/250V 50A, but those cables are thick/heavy/pricey. For sure this will help expand the Supercharger Network using other people's money, and this will benefit Tesla, $TSLA and Tesla drivers in an outsized way. Also, these types of products tend to charge a fee/percent of your position, so they are likely not ideal for long-term holdings (if things move sideways for a long time, you slowly lose money). Better for short trades (gambling!).

Troy going Full Greg with the FUD... apparently a strong Giga Texas ramp is a bad thing now (as if the IRA is not going to make demand soar), and he's claiming that Q4 demand is equivalent to future demand with a $7500 discount or tax credit (!??!).

Greetings everyone. I'm a long-time lurker, first-time poster. Thanks for the steady stream of rational, calming posts throughout the last 5 years+ of $TSLA ownership. I've held through virtually all of it, fought FUD hard on Twitter, owned a 3 LR since 2018 (Y LR coming early 2022), avoided...
