This seems to be tied to the problems with the 4680 battery. If the 4680 doesn't have the energy density they thought it would have, they can't provide the range they estimated. Of course they could have been informing us the whole time instead of dropping a huge disappointment bomb today.

They have been talking a long time about how hard this thing is to build. Hard to build = more money. Tesla will do what they always do, charge the early adopters more money to be first. Then as demand falls and they work out the production problems the price will fall over the years.

I wouldn’t buy a third party adapter, many charge networks require the adapter to be made by the vehicle manufacturer. I don’t know if the chargers can tell the difference but for liability issues alone I would stick with Tesla.

Those of you that put your powered coolers in the sub-trunk, have you considered the lack of air flow in there? I would think the unit would get hot not being able to turn the air over and it would shorten the life of the compressor.

Another vote for putting a storage box on the hitch and trying that out. Thule even has a soft bag box that breaks down pretty small if storing the box is an issue.

One fix seems easy. Reduce the price of the third row option or make it free. Then most customers will take the option and qualify for the tax rebate.

Unless the cameras are running 24/7 they will not see things that are moved into the front dead zone before the car is turned on. Hopefully it isn’t a pet sleeping or a small child playing.

Try charging with the J-1772 adapter and a Supercharger. If the Supercharger works but the J-1772 does not the charger in the car is likely bad. If they both work it’s probably the mobile connector. If all fail it’s car service time.

They changed the car between when you ordered it and when it was delivered. Absolutely you deserve all your money back. Mention you will file a complaint with your state attorney general and that should get them moving.

This just really ticks me off. I don’t want to lose functionality I already have in my car. And I think it is a really bad idea to gimp features in the new cars they are selling. You are making both new and old owners angry and generating ill will. This cannot be good long term for the company.

If they handle it the same way they handled the deletion of radar it will go like this. When you go into the app to accept delivery of your car there will be a pop up explaining the the change. You will get the option to accept the change or cancel the order.

All I can guess is that the off-pavement driving somehow tripped a sensor fooling the car into showing those errors. I would try to replicate the same type of driving close to home to see if it happens again. So you can either get it fixed or regain confidence in the car. Good luck brother!

It’s damn dumb. You can’t see forwards below the sight line of the car, so will this catch a small dog that runs in from the side below the front sight line? It makes the cars cheap. They charge a luxury car price but have few luxury features. Now they just removed one of the only ones they had.

Once FSD is "done" in Tesla's opinion the price of the monthly sub will double or more. Elon makes a big deal about saying how valuable it is. He is going to cash in. Don't make a financial decision based on the current monthly price.

Hanging out in car forums always gives a distorted view of the reliability of a car. Me and my kids own Hondas and if you go into their forums you would think they had constant engine and transmission failures. You hear the worst even if the likelihood of you experiencing it is small.

I have a question on the FSD beta. If you request it and have it installed, do you still have access to Autopilot? Can you switch between them?
