Is anyone interested in an Enhanced Autopilot Subscription?

I’m curious as to why go with 200 a month subscription. It seems like you like it enough to buy it again. However if you were to subscribe for it on your model S, currently you would be at over 19k of payments vs 6k to own it. I agree 200 a month seems better however if you look to keep your...

Tesla sets charge limit to 90%

Hey, that's great! It's great to hear that you are enjoying your Tesla! Yes, if you car recommends 90% for daily usage, that will change when your car has an update. Once it updates, your car will change to 50%-80% daily and 80%-100% trip. I agree technology, EV's in the near future will have...

Where do you charge your Model Y to for daily use?

I have a Tesla charger at home at 240V @48A. I have it set to 80% however I now don’t charge here as much. My two office locations have Tesla chargers so I don’t get to charge at home that often. I’m actually considering dropping to 70%, maybe 60%. I have access to a charger at home, work so I...

Model Y suggest limit 80% but my 3 is 90%. Wazzup??

Yeah it seems once the car updates, you app will then recommend 80%. Question is… why now? Hope Tesla clarifies why they made this change now. We pretty much all know lower state is better for the battery long term.

Tesla sets charge limit to 90%

I agree! Do, as it turns out my wife’s model 3 was NOT on the latest car software. Hers read 90% before the update. After the update it recommends now 80%. My dads car hasn’t been updated and once it updated a few days ago, his model 3 as well now recommends 80%. So as it turns out the car...

Tesla sets charge limit to 90%

Both wife and I are in latest iOS version. Latest Tesla app update as well. The thing is, in my car, iOS aside, it says 80% recommended. Which would rule out iOS version. For a moment I thought only model 3 recommend 90% but my friend MY long range also says 90%. I’m wondering if it’s unique...

Aftermarket Michelin Guardian Hybrid wiper blades purchased at Costco snapped off while driving

I’m up for new wiper blades now for my 2022 model Y. Does anyone have a brand that is confirmed to work. I really want silicone wipers. They were a game changer. I owned OEM and would need replacement yearly. Then I tried out a silicone one from Michelin and 4 years later they still Are going...

    Model Y Rear Spoiler, Advice

I don’t own a trunk spoiler but am looking to get one. Although I don’t have one I seem to believe that many of the ends raising or detaching has greatly to due with the installation. I would say 98% of YouTube trunk spoiler installs are wrong and horribly wrong. Peeling all the adhesive quickly...

Where do you put your air freshener in your car?

Honestly the ones I’ve seen made for our cars are all pretty weak. Last about 3 days and then it’s barely boric me for the rest of the month. However the price is almost double of regular air fresheners. I feel like they are ripping off Tesla owners. I’m speaking for the majority of them. In...

    Oem spoiler fs model Y

A bit confused. Is this OEM (original equipment manufacturer from Tesla manufacture) or OEM style that you purchased from teslarati? just want to make sure as you said this is from your MY sale and not MYP. If it’s not OEM is it teslarati spoiler, tesmanian, etc… this way I know which is being sold

    2022.44.25

I agree! Maybe they should put this above the car on the left pane where there is nothing occupying and also increase it from 6 font size to 12.

I don’t like how they split the ETA with the next turn menu box. I look at my navigation now and rather than take up less space I feel like they filled more clutter and provide less navigation/street view. They essentially split it on the top left and then bottom left of the navigation screen...

Spoiler not available on Tesla’s site?

I just saw this as well. I’m considering it. It does look a bit pricey. I think $400 is a good solid price. Idk. I know there are aftermarket but I like to stick with OEM as much as possible. For most things.
  17. Billmister

Is anyone interested in an Enhanced Autopilot Subscription?

I am in the same boat. I was looking to possibly purchase EAP. It def is NOT $99 a month. I believe it's that price if you already paid for EAP and now want to pay monthly for FSD. But if you don't already have EAP, then the price you pay is $199 a month. I was thinking, I'll go ahead and...

Do you use a windshield sunshade?

Yeah I use it only in the summertime. I don't find a need for it in the wintertime. The one I purchased was from CoverCraft. It is great quality, however because it's stiff I can't really put it anywhere in the car except the trunk. So I have to go back there every time I need to use it. I...

    Best to charge to 60%?

That’s a good summery. To be clear, I’m sure you can charge anywhere within the “daily” percent every single day for months and you car will be great concidering the fact that you stuck to charging with the daily range. Taking a road trip? Charging to “trip” (100%) if perfectly acceptable to...

    Best to charge to 60%?

I used to charge to 80% everyday. I work about 10 miles away and drive home for lunch. So in a day I use about 40 miles. Only recently have I lowered it to 70%, 60%, and now use 50%. I find that it gives me more than enough at that low percentage charge. It crazy because this weekend, I...

What is the best controller for playing the games on Tesla?

Just interested in knowing, with the number of YouTube channels that Jowua send their products to, has anyone used their controllers and does it work without issues? Do you use a windshield sunshade?

I also looked at Amazon because I was curious if they sold them as well. They did but they didn’t have the UVS100 Premier Series. Only the custom version. Also I purchased the white for my wife which only comes in the premier.
  24. Billmister

Do you use a windshield sunshade?

I just ordered two covercraft as everyone seems to have amazing experience with them. Wow they def are pricier than any others I’ve ever owned. My wife’s model 3 is parked outside during work so she def would benefit from this in the summer. I figured the shipping cost was about half the cost...

    Yakima Full Tilt 5

The one on the FullTilt is not a traditional 2-4” pin that slides in and keeps something your pulling from separating. The FullTilt uses the anti rattle to secure it. In worst case scenario if it were to slide off, the secure pin holds it in place.

    Yakima Full Tilt 5

Got the answer I was looking for! The pin on our bike rack is more of a safety measurement. Here is the response from item expert: The automatic (AutoPin) hitch pin on the Yakima FullSwing bike rack # Y02465 is basically a fail safe device. What really holds the bike rack in the hitch receiver...

    Yakima Full Tilt 5

For the full tilt, I feel like half of the 2" adapter (silver part) sticks out. Which looks like either I put it on wrong or doesn't look like it belongs like that. IDK, I mean this is the same one that Tesla makes with their logo and for the price of $500, its not something that I can just...

bike hitch advice please for X

Quick question for you. Do you own a model Y or X? If you own a Y, when you use the Yakima full tilt, do you push the Yakima all the way in the hitch receiver or half out using the smart pin?

    Yakima Full Tilt 5

don't mean to awaken this post but I'm in the same situation. I have the Yakima Full Tilt and it's the same. As your second picture when the pin in on the hole I feel like although I tightened it really good, it slightly wobbles. I just feel like it’s meant to be pushed in all the way. For...

Acceleration Boost vs Third Party Hacks

I ended up purchasing the Acceleration boost. It really makes the car feel so much faster and responsive. Prior to the purchase I never used the Chill Mode. Now I use it all the time and feel it a more “chill” way to drive. However when I see Bmw or Porsche etc I switch to sport, just in case...

Installing Wall Connector is better than NEMA 14-50

This is great. My wife has a M3 Long range and has been getting great results from the standard wall plug for her daily usage. Now that I have a MY Long Range, I came across this board and decided to purchase a Tesla Wall Charger. I will probably ship this week and I'll get it next week. Now...

2022 Apple CarPlay update vs Tesla UI

I understand there are opportunities with Tesla software. But it’s the best compared to any other car manufacturers Os. Other manufacturers will win and gladly pay apple to have car play fully integrated. Bmw, Honda, polestar, etc. they all would Benefit. Good for marketing and one less area to...

Tow hitch bike rack for model y

I currently use the Yakima full tilt. It holds 4 bikes and I use the Yakima bike bar for all 3 bikes but my youngest bike goes in the trunk as it’s still too small. I’m happy with this setup. Although the red Yakima logo is a bit much, still think it will look good when I combine that with a...

So I decided to get a Tow Hitch...

Congrats on your mode Y supporting a hitch! I have it on my car and thought I could be careful and use a flathead screwdriver to open it. Although I managed to get it open, I did leave a scratch on the cover and I tried to be careful. I searched around and purchased this: Tesla Model Y Hitch...

2022 Apple CarPlay update vs Tesla UI

I may be the only one but I prefer Tesla UI over carplay. I think this would greatly benefit cars like polestar as they are running on something like a version of android os. Tesla has its own os and I don’t think it outdated. I think the Tesla os has a simple look and shows you what’s needed...

Model Y - Blind Spot Camera when indicating

Well, I’m in the same boat. I tried to like it but it’s too annoying. No matter if I put my hand at 10 and 2 or 9 and 3, my wrist always blocks the pop up. I then have to tilt my head over or move/remove my wrist. All of which are unnecessary. I look forward to an update to happen so that I...

What made you choose a Tesla?

I own my cars for around 8 years. I maintain them and enjoy having a car that is well taken care of. Acceleration Boost vs Third Party Hacks

I always wondered if the acceleration boost was 2k. If Tesla would ever provide an add on to make it performance speed for an extra 1.5k. This would allow people to have performance speed without the spoiler, 21 inch wheels and pedals. Although I know this is not possible, when I first ordered...
