my plastic skidplate cracked when i lived in Winnipeg, so i ordered the one from Mountain Pass Performance here. no issues or worries since. installed myself using a pair of car ramps and a socket set.

How do LFP cars get from BC dock to Ontario/Quebec

I would imagine the same way they get here from USA...rail and tractor-trailers.

Anyone knows the Y AWD LR coming from China uses NCM or LFP battery?

it wouldn't be LFP. The LR models from China use LG Chem brand batteries vs the Panasonic used in Fremont. It is NMCA battery. article from 2021

    North American Charging Standard.

Tesla has already installed a few locations with the Magic dock in the USA. I imagine soon here in Canada too after the annoucement that they're opening a stretch of the Superchargers to all EVs from Sudbury to Ottawa. The NACS plug locks itself to the magic dock/CCS adapter, which then would...

Tesla opens up Superchargers to Ford

You are correct. i thought the wording was along the lines of proprietary/universal connectors. Source Edit: maybe the Magic Dock would count towards the CCS connector?

Tesla opens up Superchargers to Ford

I think this should help Tesla get funding in both countries for charging locations since it’ll no longer be a proprietary connector

    Supercharger - Trenton, ON

oh, never noticed. i just have an SR+ so i peak at 170kW. driving this past week from Ontario to NB and back was definitely frustrating at the Riviere du Loup charger. its a v2 but seemed to have 74kW shared between adjacent stalls. dropped to 35ish when someone else pulled next to me and back...
  12. G

    Supercharger - Trenton, ON

a v2 shares 150kW between A and B stalls, so 1A and 1B. so if you and someone else pull up nice and warm already and plug in on the same shared load, you'll still only see a max of 74kW. with a v3 charger, it not only doesn't share load, but also has a higher peak charge of 250kW.

Mud flaps that don’t have issues in winter?

Sorry you had such a rough time with it, but glad you got it. I have a model 3 and the only tough issue I had was getting the old plugs out due to sand and ice (I waited until the temp warmed up to the single negative digits). Used hot water in a spray bottle. Just ordered new PPF strips though...

No news. its not advertised, but the two local service techs work out of a space near Lagimodiere/Dugald beside the Enns Brothers building. it has a hoist and they're able to do almost all service except for HV battery replacement i believe.

Mud flaps that don’t have issues in winter?

on my Model 3 i had a hard time getting the plugs out since it was winter and they were gunked up with snow/ice and sand. used a spray bottle with hot water to melt the ice and rinse the sand off. no issues getting them in though.

MAD at Tesla - Will have to bring them to court.

Manitoba, like most provinces, have a safety inspection for vehicles being imported into the province. Things they look for are brakes, lights functioning, holes in the body, etc. They wouldn’t be looking whether it takes regular or supreme fuel, just like they wouldn’t be checking for charging...

Differences between US vs Canadian Model 3

Not much difference if any that I’m aware of. Daytime running lights are mandatory here, not sure about the states.

Mud flaps that don’t have issues in winter?

Front use existing push pin locations and the hardware comes with longer versions. Rear use two push pin and one screw that screws into the plastic.

Mud flaps that don’t have issues in winter?

I originally bought the hard plastic ones from rpmtesla, but they cracked when I was knocking snow and ice from them. Currently have a set from evmudflaps which are made in Quebec where they get a lot of snow. They’re flexible, so snow doesn’t collect as much and it makes it easier to knock the...

Federal $5k rebate? Did I get it, is my Tesla elegible?

the Model Y never qualified for the $5K off, not even when they sold the Y Standard range. the only Tesla that ever qualified was the Model 3 SR and SR+, but they haven't since the price changes in Nov 2021.

  25. G

New Federal IZEV - does M3 SR+ qualify again?

no, this takes affect after 25 April 2022. but yes you are over the threshold of the 65k limit, but also there isn't a Model 3 currently below the 55k threshold that allows the 65k to be considered. It used to be 45k with a top end of 55k, which i managed to use with my SR+ back in Sept.

"Trading in" your old Tesla for a new one.

I’m in Manitoba, but I think what you’re looking for is an RST refund (retail sales tax). Then I applied...

    Model 3 sr+ .. heated steering wheel?

When was yours made? Think it was around March 2021 they started including the hardware, but didn’t make it available to buy until November. Any vehicles delivered after Nov 1 got theirs included for free. My September build I had to pay 400 to unlock the heated steering wheel and back seats.

    Towing a Seadoo

i think he's more worried about traction when backing up or pulling boat out of the water. An AWD like the LR would be nice for sure, but the biggest issue is no two ramps are the same, like the incline angle, water depth, ramp material (concrete or gravel).

    Recent trade-in experience with a non-Tesla vehicle?

no, that's not the issue. what people are trying to tell you and gave you examples already is that you can get a few thousand more by selling to someone else. Recent heat pump failures - software issue?

Nope, see my posts above. I’m dealing with-28 temps this morning and use a heat gun and a microfibre cloth to defrost the windshield on the inside. My appointment isn’t until March 11, but I’d rather do what I’m doing than go back to a rental SUV

Recent heat pump failures - software issue?

i installed software .7 around 14 Jan i think. they replaced the compressor/supermanifold and lines between them on 1 Feb. wouldn't think there was still contamination if they had to replace the parts.

Email while waiting for delivery date
