Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
I had this exact scenario. Saw a VIN on the wall charger section of the app relating to a vehicle that I had previously been assigned. It sticks for a while, if you have since changed your order and that spec if reflected on the website, worry not :)
Go to the wall charger screen on the App, then Settings > Vehicle Charging > Access Control > Set access to "Only Authorized Tesla Vehicles", then when you click Add Vehicle I see Model 3 with the VIN underneath.
The feature was only added to the App last week, also.
Just got an EDD May 31 - June 21 (M3LR white/black).
No hidden VIN, but the Model 3 VIN I was seeing on Tesla app in the manage vehicle access for the wall charger updated. Confirms that the VIN I saw earlier was the previously allocated vehicle I swapped out. Interesting new way to find a VIN...
Yes I was thinking it could be the original white/white, however the image icon shows a Model 3 with black seats next to it (albeit the classic style 3, not highland - so a bit weird), my current Model Y icon next to it also shows the correct interior colour and correct wheel config (not the...
Interestingly, I was playing around with the new feature to manage vehicle access on the wall charger in the Tesla App.
I see my existing Y with VIN then also saw a Model 3 LR with VIN appear. There's no VIN anywhere else for the Model 3 for me. Decoded it shows a 24 Model 3 LR.
Hopefully good...
My first vehicle after passing my test at 33 was a new M3 RWD 3 years ago. You'll be fine. Insurance will be high, do you share the car with someone else?
On whether to buy new or second hand, bear in mind the Australian second hand market is still overflated and hasn't kept pace with the...
Ordered M3LR white / white on 23rd March.
Got matched on Tuesday with a 20 May - 10 June EDD, however since changed to black interior to get the WA EV rebate.
Date disappeared, now back to Mar-Apr ETA on the app.
I see there's a bunch of M3LRs now showing in inventory now too.
The camera upgrade is for those with HW2 / HW2.5. If you are on HW3 I'm not sure we are going to see Tesla pay for a hardware upgrade when Beta runs on HW3, that is now widely available.
I'd be careful about extrapolating the subscription cost which is a different market and value proposition...
2nd hand market just does not value it, go check it out on Carsales. You will be lucky for a couple of extra thousand.
No idea about free HW upgrade, but it's unlikely if you're on the current stack which is compatible with what you've purchased.
The economics don't make sense for the software...
Anyone have the OEM Walnut installed on a MIC vehicle?
Just received the walnut and whilst I’d be happy with some slight variation, the difference it quite jarring:
Australia could be an ideal test ground for the roll out for RHD FSD given it's one of the few English speaking countries with MUTCD based road signage outside of North America. I also read somewhere that they were advertising beta to employees, and there are FSD engineer/s in Australia over...
I think Canada have seen deliveries? Still feels like a long way away with no rumours of any RHD production.
Put in a MX order last week, to at least be in the queue when/if production does commence for our market.
Have you looked at which uses the centre console light power, and also a relay so they stay off in Sentry mode - I'm not sure with how the relay achieves that though.
I'm also in Perth and potentially using a local car tech specialist to look into this, who seems familiar with this.
Reading other threads on this, apparently the colour changed in 2020(?). Would be good to report back on whether this pot still matches, as I wouldn't mind having one on hand.
More than likely yes. Tesla reps have been consistent on this so far, although usual disclaimer that SAs can be unreliable with the truth.
Additionally a RWD in transit to Perth showed up in inventory briefly last week, where some digging around showed “VC01” option code. This likely indicates...
I think it depends on the model. On the 20/12 the EDD changed on the website, however there's been examples of people ordering after this receiving VINs.
Anyone with a borderline Q1 order heard anything indicatively from their SA? I originally ordered 16/12, removed FSD so with an invoice date of 19/12.
RWD.
Haven't heard anything from my SA.
First post here & excited to join the community.
