Linking front foot well lights to ambient lights?

Model S is supposed to receive ambient footwell lights via firmware update? I would love to have some lighting in the footwell area. It is so dark up front. I am adding the light in the center console via the usb mod that was posted in another thread. If I could have some additional...

Any benefit to "clear" tint on windshield?

Just had Lumar Air 80 (ceramic tint) installed yesterday. HUGE difference in the amount of heat blocked. It really is night and day. The black dash board is cool to the touch where it was previously a heat sink.

    MS P85D wheel spacers?

About to order four 20mm Adaptec Spacers from Motorsport to use on my Staggered 21" Arachnids. For those who have these spacers and tried heating the wheel well plastic to create clearance / eliminate rubbing at lock, could you please post your experience on whether this fixed the problem...

Model S reaching 4 years old or 50 000 miles

I am at the place where I need to decide shortly whether to extend my warranty or not. Leaning toward not, but then again quite a few repairs have been made to my car in mileage 48,000-50,000. Mostly I had everything done while it was still covered.

Time to trade ap1...elon says yes

I am loving the AP1 still and use it very frequently. Makes driving / life easier. I wouldn't mind more power but find that the S85D is in reality everything i need. What I do wish for was better range. Next in wants for me would be faster charging. Im sure in the future, the cars will...

    MS P85D wheel spacers?

I too considered spacers on my 21" arachnids (staggered), but with so much torque wondered if I might be asking for problems down the road. So i paused. Would love to see photos of your setup once installed.

Could this app make Teslas more fun & reduce motion sickness?

I do wish Tesla would have some option to create some sound outside of the car in the instances where I would like a pedestrian or cyclist to know that a car is approaching. I have had instances where a person at a sidewalk almost walked into the path of my car because they didn't realize that...

Easy DIY Improvement of Audio for a Few Dollars

Easy DIY Improvement of Audio for a Few Dollars

I performed this modification and it took approximately 2 hours to complete. We used Noico mat for the sound deadening around the speaker grill. For the foam, we cut an old yoga mat (closed cell foam) into strips and rolled them up and filled the gaps. I can state that the sound quality has...

Ideal Aftermarket Audio System for Model S

Are you folks changing the amps on the factory speakers as part of your install. I have some really high end separates which I was considering to install in my Model S, but typically upgraded speakers require more clean wattage to obtain the most benefit. Your thoughts?

Geico 27% increase after one year. :(

We switched to Statefarm from Geico. It was cheaper than what we were paying, but truthfully, I might have been better off doing a bit more shopping on the rates.

    Supercharger - Lynnwood WA

Went to the Lynnwood Supercharger today and it was busy. Couple cars there when I arrived. A few stopped for quick charge and several new ones as I was leaving. In total saw about 8 teslas model s during my 45 minutes there. I did purchase a few beverages at their gas station convenience...

    Show off your aftermarket wheels.

Main reasons I got the Arachnids over the 21" Turbines were that they were lighter, better economy, and less likely to sustain damage (stronger). Otherwise, I would have been fine with the Turbines and could have saved myself over a grand. I suppose another benefit to the arachnids are that...

    Show off your aftermarket wheels.

After looking through hundreds of photos, I have come to the realization that the stock 21" turbine is a pretty sweet looking wheel and in my opinion better than most aftermarket alternatives.

Is it worth it to get the 50K service done?

Im at 48,000 miles so one a few thousand miles remaining on my bumper to bumper warranty. I have a bunch of items being repaired by Tesla once the parts arrive. Contemplating whether to extend the warranty for 2 additional years or not. The other option of course would be to save those...

    Supercharger - Lynnwood WA

Seems like such a great move for Fred Meyers to offer superchargers for the Tesla network. Folks would naturally assume that Fred Meyers have charging and go there to make their purchases. I for one would. Looking forward to meeting some folks this Saturday at the Lynnwood Supercharger.

Black chrome arachnid wheels installed with spacers

I have used spacers to bring the wheels out flush with the outer fender. Do you have a link to the brand and model spacer you used? Also, does it kick alot more debris onto the side the of vehicle?

    Slipstreams to Arachnids

The Arachnids are definitely more noisy than the 19's is my experience. The 19's were also a softer ride which I do sometimes miss. Overall the looks of the car with these wheels more than makes up for its downside. Not sure if anyone has bent an arachnid yet?

New Wheels for MS -- 21" Sonic Carbon Twin Turbine

In order of preference in looks on 21" wheels 1. Original Turbines 2. Arachnids 3. New Twin Turbines. I have the Arachnids on my car due to looks, weight reduction and strength of the wheel. Hopefully the Arachnids will hold up better than Turbines vs the potholes. If they came up with a...

CPO Question - Should I be Happy or not?

I would say just be thankful to have such a wonderful car as this and that you are under their warranty. The more they fix, the less to potentially go wrong once you are out of warranty. I only have 2000 miles remaining on my bumper to bumper warranty and I am looking at every possibly fix...

WA State EV Sales Tax Exemption Updated

I know that in some states there are perks to driving a hybrid car or electric car.
