Supercharger - Florence, SC - North Williston Road

Tech is now going through each station and testing the connections. Commissioning seems to be a long and thorough process.

Beaver Aplin drove by the superchargers and apologized for them not being commissioned yet. Also sighted the first plaid.

Tesla tech is doing his thing, and it's neat to see the guts of the charger. He's also driving one of the first model Y out of the Austin plant.

There's a rep from the electric provider, a Tesla tech in a model Y, and a rep from the installation contractor checking everything out.

Turns out they're still working on them. They have the entrance to the parking lot monitored by security during the day, but I yelled at crew from the road and they said it'll probably be up and running by Monday. Took a few more photos as well.

Supercharger - Florence, SC - North Williston Road

I drove by last weekend and they were beginning to install the conduit and prepare the area for the stalls. I'm pretty sure it's at the south end of the parking lot next to the road. I'll check again tomorrow or Friday.

Are used Teslas bought from Tesla.com delivered with J1772 adapter?

Update: Tesla mobile service dropped off a J1772 Adapter this morning free of charge and checked my tire pressure.

Not keeping my FSD subscription after two months

There should be a better way than requiring steering inputs. Pressure sensors, cameras, something that doesn't require me to put steering pressure in excess of what I would make when the car isn't in autopilot.

Tried a FSD subscription. It's not worth it...

One thing I can say, is that although the fine print in the user manual explains in detail the capability of the Faux Self Driving, the way it is marketed is in no way representative to the actual capabilities and limitations of the system. Some people expect companies to live up to their hype...

Tried a FSD subscription. It's not worth it...

I don't think I'll be going that route. I am disappointed with what I received, but I was aware of the risks when I subscribed and prepared to eat the loss. I don't spend money I'm not willing to part with.

Tesla 6-50 Gen 2 NEMA Adapter. Brand new never used.

I bought the 6-50 Adapter for home use, then ended up buying the Gen 2 Kit which means I now have an additional 6-50 Gen 2 Adapter. $45 shipping included, and you'll save a bit since I'm not charging sales tax.

Can you specify the differences that make the Beta more useful for you?

Tried a FSD subscription. It's not worth it...

I wasn't anxious before I paid the money. It took several phantom braking moments on highways, in daylight, when I'm driving 60+ MPH in traffic, inability to tell if my car is actually going to handle an exit or change lanes until the last moment, and straight-up slamming on the brakes at night...

Bicyclists may be present anywhere, and especially if there's a law saying bicyclists may be on the highway the option to use autosteer there should be disabled if it's discouraged by the manual.

Pretty sure my wife would have murdered me and sold my organs on the black market to recoup that money had I done that.

Tried a FSD subscription. It's not worth it...

Maybe it's because I don't have beta that it doesn't seem that great for me? I don't know as I won't be keeping it long enough to get into the FSD Beta. Yea on my trip I had to confirm the green lights. I understand that having your hands on the wheel is necessary, and I'm not trying to "trick"...

Tried a FSD subscription. It's not worth it...

This sounds like the best-case scenario for FSD in its current form. I feel like AP and FSD have been programmed specifically with that area of the country in mind. The other 95% of the country is where it falls short.

Tried a FSD subscription. It's not worth it...

I know there will probably be some push back from stans that will say "work in progress", but writing beta next to everything doesn't negate the fact that people are paying boat loads of money to be guinea pigs. Forgive what might be a slightly dramatic approach, but beta testing this software...

Tried a FSD subscription. It's not worth it...

I bit the bullet and tried the FSD one-month subscription option for a 1700 mile road trip this past weekend in my 2020 Model 3 Standard Plus. My opinion: not worth it. Full Self Driving is just a terrible name for what is essentially Autopilot+. I'd imagine your commute would need to involve...

Are used Teslas bought from Tesla.com delivered with J1772 adapter?

I wish they would just ship them. They sent me a notice on the day of my service appointment that "parts were not in stock" and pushed back my appointment to the 28th, so I'm still waiting. It would make more sense just to ship it, but Tesla gonna Tesla.

1700 mile road trip in three days.

Road-tripped our 2020 Model 3 Standard Plus that we had bought used from Tesla.com in March. First leg went from Florence, SC to Staunton, VA stopping at superchargers in Archdale, NC and Madison Height, VA. After supercharging to 100% in Staunton, VA, we drove the Blue Ridge Parkway from...

Are used Teslas bought from Tesla.com delivered with J1772 adapter?

I contacted customer service and they in turn advised me to contact Tesla Service via the App. I made a Tesla Mobile Service appointment and got an estimate of $0.00 a couple of days later saying they'll be bringing a complimentary J-1772 adapter to my service appointment Monday morning, and...

Are used Teslas bought from Tesla.com delivered with J1772 adapter?

I bought my 2020 Model 3 Standard a few weeks ago and just noticed that the adapter isn't included and might come in handy on a road trip in a couple weeks from now. Was I supposed to get one with the car? What's the likelihood that Tesla will send me one?
