I think Navigation and FSD are not that tightly coupled. You set you Destination. Navigation is on. Whether you engage FSD or not doesn't matter. You can disengage FSD and the Navigation still there. Also, your previous Navigation Destinations are saved for you to recall.

Sorry, I thought you were not on the exit lane already. But, if you are talking about one of those exits that cut across an entrance merge lane, we have one of those on I-5N exit to 152 W. I always disengage to take that exit manually. That type of exits are just too tight and I never trust FSD.

The code have problem with your exit. That is not going to change much even if you try to do it n times. So save yourselves some trouble and turn on the signal to move the car over when you feel save ahead to help FSD a little.
