it is not that hard to install, remove thew fascia and bolt it in. No damage will occur from using the hitch without the tow package "flash/program" I have read many have done this install without any issues.

the is not correct the inspection is also available for the MX, I have seen other MX owners with a Salvaged MX pass the inspection and get the SC enabled again. You can also get CCS enabled for $450 which includes the adapter and use third party fast chargers.

my 18 MX is showing the same wear in same area as well on both side, its the weather stripping rubbing on the paint, I remember seeing a post a while back of someone putting PPF in that area to prevent the paint from rubbing off

hard to say what level of charge it will be at when you get it because the damage is unknown, but if it is at 0% you will need to jump the 12V battery to get the car to wake up to be able to charge it

unless they keep something like the current Chedemo/Tesla NACS connector that EVgo currently uses that do not require CCS to be enabled. I have used the chargers with those connectors several times and have always worked but max is 50Kw.

I had the same feeling while driving this weekend and I found it strange that the inside of the car didn't feel as cool as I had set the temp to be. I did have the MX in Range mode so not sure if that made a difference since range mode affect the AC.

I was able to score a black and white center console but have not installed it yet, been debating on wether I prefer the open space or the look of the console

so will Tesla do the CCS retrofit on a salvaged vehicle that doesn't have CCS enabled? I have seen a Tesla Y salvaged with SC disabled and CCS enabled and can fast charged a third party stations.

I saw someone post a invoice that showed $880 and he stated that is what he paid for the salvage title HV inspection and test and once he passed the supercharging capability was reinstated.

I have not heard of other manufacturers flagging charging. The are CCS and I don't believe that is an option but I could be wrong

screen shows that MX has the FSD computer installed but only the Autopilot package is included, no FSD package included.

from my understanding and other posts I have seen, the ccs retrofit is available for the MX and only available as a kit and will not separate adapter and board.

sorry to hear about your bad experience, I have used EVgo many times and have not had an issue, I have actually used the one with the Tesla connector and the one for CCS and no issues so far.

from what I have been reading the rear camber on low settings goes from 1.5 on standard height to 2 plus on low setting and the only way to correct the camber is getting a set of adjustable camber arms for the rear to bring it back to standard specs

how is everyone else dealing with the "yellowing" edges on the screen? DIY UV treatment or service center request and what is the out of pocket cost at the service center?

but if CCS is enabled in the salvaged car and and you can charge CCS elsewhere (EVGo, EA) it should allow to charge using CCS magic dock. Guess if someone tries it please report back

I have a salvaged M3 with CCS enabled and I am able to fast charge at EVGo and EA stations. Now going to see about enabling CCS on my 18 MX

I believe they are $350 new from Tesla as an upgrade atleast that is what I see on the app 🤷🏻‍♂️
