Guess I’ll weigh in with my thoughts. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for. Tesla: Queuing Space out cars properly to prevent backups before they happen. Prioritize cars that are ready to accept a faster charge. Prioritize those with a lower charge rate. Prioritize those on long trips...

DIY Installing CCS Retrofit in US Model S

+1 on remote working well. About to drive cross country for a funeral (had a disaster flying last week), so glad I have it as a backup. Another plus to the remote method is you can take care of any other items needed at the time (tuner, fog lights, etc).

UPGRADING SINGLE to DUAL/ TWIN ONBOARD CHARGERS, possible? how? prog?

Update: Reconfiguration was not needed. Today when checking my car on the app, was greeted by a max charge setting of 80 amps. Since my home is much lower, and I Did this as part of my CCS upgrade, I wasn't looking specifically for it. So not sure if it was the MCU reset, software reinstall, or...

UPGRADING SINGLE to DUAL/ TWIN ONBOARD CHARGERS, possible? how? prog?

Purchased a few of the parts I needed from 057, highly recommend. FYI, sourcing the parts and doing it myself wasn't much cheaper. Plus I lost a day putting it in, and whatever the reconfigure is going to cost... didn't know. @rolling18 They can be separate master/slaves, as long as one is...

Yes, pre-refresh dual motor. Used the 1489302-00-B kit. Plug and play, just lacking configuration on the MCU2 at this point. Reset, power down, and software reinstall do not work at this point to make it work. Will look into deeper once my other updates are done that will need it too (Dual...

UPGRADING SINGLE to DUAL/ TWIN ONBOARD CHARGERS, possible? how? prog?

Just got done doing this, since I'm on my own in a very rural area. Here's what I learned. A few other parts to have on hand: 1x Ground strap (same as master) PN 1008531-00-C. Rounded side goes to body. 4x M6x1.0 flange nuts (to mount the charger) 1x M6x1.0 20 flange bolt (for the ground...

DIY Installing CCS Retrofit in US Model S

A couple of pics to help anyone planning an install. Very simple on the hardware side. The ECU mounts between the backseats, to the front High Voltage Junction Box (HVJB) mounting screws. Wiring is meant to attach to the seat frame, just like the High voltage cables do on the drivers side...
