My thinking here is it does not matter if this mixes with the electronics because its non conductive. It would be like a mineral oil pc. Call me crazy but I've been running it with no problems so far.
If the car does pass both the charging and safety inspection it will not be free anymore according to wk057. I only know of one case where free charging was re-enabled as free and as he stated that it was a fluke by tesla.
Many people do this like me. Passing an HV cert does not mean this will turn charging back on. It means tesla will do work on it related to the HV battery. Bringing any branded/rebuilt title vehicle in for HV inspection is a surefire way to get charging turned off even if it is enabled at the...
I wanted to ask a question but the audience I reached is not very educated. Instead of helping or not commenting most of you here besides @NV Ray are not helping at all. @DerbyDave has clearly not read tesla updated salvage policy before posting. @tldickerson has no clue what he is talking about...
There's a method after rooting your car to disable Hermes proxy and Odin engine. If you disable there 2 things tesla can no longer make unauthorized changes to your car.
I’ve done this a few hundred times I don’t think it’s getting any unsafer. Besides all the salvage haters are acting like that battery doesn’t have multiple bms”s that monitor individual cell voltage and temp at all given times. If there any imbalance at all the car would simply not charge as...
Wrong, only few v3 superchargers can disable your can from fast charge. These are known as “online stations”.The car is the one doing the communications to all of tesla and that’s why you can enable charging via root and disconnect you cars sim an be able to charge again.
Yes there's many threads of people complaining about it but no solution on how to take your car off tesla's network short of unplugging the antenna's. No information on how to disables Hermes or Odin engine at ALL on here. I just want to keep teleforce off of my car and others should as well.
I have been daily driving a salvage model s for a little over a year now. Crash happed about 2 years ago. My car still supercharges fine. I have not ever gone to a tesla service center yet but my phone app is connected to my car. I'm concerned for my free charging and I want it to stay free. Is...
toolbox 2 needs a few thing before it can properly work. First you need to be on V11.0 software or lower and second you have to have the ability to access factory mode. I have no clue how to access factory mode yet. The reasoning for this is it unlocks the cars diag port. One idea i had is to...
The coolant is about 80% as efficient as the g48 used in the cars as standard for specific heat, however it can dissipate heat at a greater rate then the coolant used. Unplugged performance use this coolant in their track built plaid if that says anything about it. I'm surprised its not a more...
I'm aware the the LDU's are plagued with coolant leakage issues. It seems its not a matter of IF they will fail but WHEN they will fail. I have read over many modification threads on how to stop the leaking and corrosion but what if the G48 coolant was replaced with dielectric coolant...
Thanks for the info. Do you know what exactly changed for that lower 0-60 on the rwd75's. Was it a drive unit revision? If so I'm sure tesla has replaced many of those new revision drive unit in older cars. If the battery has a high enough output ,is it just firmware limiting the DU?
I've been looking around at model s 0-60 times ,specifically the jump from the 70kwh RWD battery cars to the 75kwh RWD battery cars. The drivetrains are identical with a large rear drive unit but the 0-60 times are 1.3 seconds apart. Why is this? Are 2 more modules active in the 75kwh for more...
Ok update, performance drive unit flooded with coolant and otherwise un usable. Found that out after installing it unfortunately so I put back in the previous large induction unit. HV pack was a breeze as I have access to a lift. 85 battery in car and reads software version mismatch. Cant seem...
I have inspected the rubber plug on the side of the drive unit and its free of coolant and any other fluids. I'm not sure how to check for oil contamination.
I have my hands on a running 60 and a parted p85 missing the mcu and a few other components with massive body damage however the p85 still has battery and drive unit. I'm unable to test if either works short of swapping into my 60 and looking at bms readout though dev mode. I don't know of...
I'm trying to upgrade my early 2013 model s60 to a p85. The reason I'm doing this instead of buying a used p85 is because my 60 is my first car and I don't want to get rid of it. This is a crazy idea I'm cooking up in my head so bear with me here. I have been trying to learn how to reconfigure...
wait, so your saying all I would need to do to get my car form a 60 to an 85 is a ota software update after swapping packs? Is all toolbox used for in upgrades firmware redeploys?
I'm pretty sure upgrades on packs are a lot more involved. I've been looking forever on how to upgrade my 60 to an 85 but TTB does not like upgrades and will only succeed with like to like replacements. I hope TTB will be able to succeed with pack upgrades in the future. Correct me if I'm wrong...
Registered to the app last night and was pleasantly surprised by this morning my car was paired to MY account. I looked under the specs on the app and was pleased to see "free unlimited supercharging". Appointment is in the works for HV certification.
So I should probably get my car reinspected before my supercharging inevitably goes out? Should I reset car prior to this, I dont see tesla liking the fact im using someone else's account who I have no connection to.
I am the owner of a 2013 tesla model s 60 with a salvage title. This car has free unlimited supercharging but I'm not sure if SC01 or not. My problem is when I bought the car the old owner was logged in on the car. I'm afraid that if I log out of the car via factory reset I will lose the free...
