Figured I’d dump some photos here and hopefully somebody finds this post in the future and decides to try this themselves! Very easy to do on a rack, grab some m10x1.25 all thread and use an inspection camera to line up the connectors. We used my original 85kwh pack to save a one owner p85 that...
For those wondering this project was a success. We used some all-thread and an inspection camera to get the battery in. After a config change and a redeploy the car shows 90kwh and works 100% as intended. Range showing 255 at 100% with the first BMS estimates
bringing this back from the dead as I have a 2013 without the heated wheel and I want to add it. I have a steering wheel/air bag/sccm from a 2015 with the heated wheel...what else is needed?
Hey guys! I have a unique opportunity to install a 1088790-00-A battery pack into my 2013 Model S85. I work at a parts facility and we purchased a Model X with other intentions but are now going to be parting it out. This vehicle only has 32k on it so I'm assuming the pack is going to be much...
So whos gonna be the first to post photos? I have access to both generations of tails and I'd like to get a bit better of an idea of whats involved with swapping the LED internals into a set of 2013 tails. Wiring connections the same?
So in idiots terms what do I need to adjust to keep this from happening ? I’m tempted to order the rebuild kit and start from scratch, but wondering if it’s too far out of adjustment to even attempt that now. Maybe I’ll just cave and buy a reman handle (sigh).
On a fun side not the left rear...
So ive done some reading on here and im getting conflicting information about what I need to adjust on my 2013 Model S driver door handle. The previous owner repaired/replaced the driver door handle right before I got it ( I believe he made two handles into one). When the door handle presents...
Thanks for the reading material! I am assuming you are correct as well, just the inner technician in me wants a definitive "yes/no" before I go firing the parts cannon. My only reason is I have the ability to buy salvaged vehicles so it would make the most sense to just grab a low milage 85 of...
Howdy! Can I get somebody smarted than me to help me figure out what I am doing wrong here? Held the S85 logo, box pops up, I type in service, and nothing happens. Am I missing something here or is my software geofenced?
Thanks in Advance,
Jon
Howdy guys!
Yesterday I achieved a milestone by buying my first Tesla, a 2013 S85 with 165k on it and a laundry list of issues. The car has been sitting "dead" for almost 9 months now after the previous owner got stranded in his work parking lot with it. The car is currently being towed cross...
