Charging at home at 16 amps instead of 32

Will test on a public L2 charger today. Totally makes sense the NEMA14-50 and the 80% current limitations, thanks! I've noticed TMC blinks with red once in a while when and only when on 16amps New video by Ruslan Dautkhanov (the video doesn't show the second red blink right after the first...

Charging at home at 16 amps instead of 32

I did a quick test tonight and it went to 16amps from 32amps eventually (don't know exactly when, but it was plugged for at least couple of hours). The plug from the Tesla Mobile Connector (that goes into NEMA14-50) is warm, but not hot, probably 20F higher than ambient temperature - didn't do...

Charging at home at 16 amps instead of 32

Thank you @Tronguy - super helpful. Will follow the recommendations. Few quick notes: - I've put the electric line from the panel to the garage myself, including the NEMA14-50 socket (yes it was bought in HD). I like electric work! And hate drywall work, although had to do both to install the L2...

Charging at home at 16 amps instead of 32

Hi! My MY started charging from time to time on 16amps instead of 32amps. I have schedule to charge for the car to be ready by 9am. So it started missing 9am deadline to be charged to the target level and still charges when I come over in a morning. Had this setup for over a year (the...

MY misses charging schedule after a software update

My car started missing scheduled "depart at" schedules. This has never happened before, now it happens somewhat often. I think there is some bug in one of the recent software updates, I stay up to date on those. Probably missed 3-5 charges in the last 3-4 weeks. I set my schedule to depart at...

Popping sound when supercharging at 250kWh

There is a recommendation to only use superchargers when required / for convenience on longer trips. If it would have been the same, such recommendation would not exist? I think speed of charge / current also matters. So when it comes to degradation what’s worse - charge to 100% on a level 2...

Popping sound when supercharging at 250kWh

Thanks everyone for the responses. I have MYLR, posted to the X forum by mistake. I've listened to Tesla's audio recording and what I heard matches that very closely. It scared me. It started at round 2-3 minutes into the charging session of ~10 minutes, after 3 pops that happened within 1-2...

Popping sound when supercharging at 250kWh

Moderator note: For context, this thread was originally posted to the Model X forum. I was supercharging at 250kWh for ~10 minutes and heard three unusual popping sounds under the floor, somewhat loud, in different parts of the floor (first one was on the right side, and two other ones were on...

@RoBoRaT thanks! Is this the one you're using? If yes how many miles you've put in with those brake calipers? Can you recommend it?
