Has anyone noticed the rear view camera looking a little fuzzy when the car in reverse on this latest software branch? It looks fine in the Camera Preview in Service menu though so it's not the camera.

After less than a week on .8... .9 has just finished installing in my car.. however it didn't take 55 mins despite what the description says, more like 30.

It is still doing it on the latest 2024.14.8 software

Just been to see it in the new Manchester showroom. I thought it would be bigger, it's similar size to a lwb Transit van. The new showroom is nice, there's about a dozen v4 superchargers that aren't on the map yet either. Just a shame it next to the Emptihad 😅😅..

Anyways.. it seems that the Cybertruck also does this, as well as variable steering ratio due to the steer-by-wire (no physical mechanical link between the steering wheel and front rack). Full lock is achieved by turning the wheel about 170 degrees at low driving speeds.

Surely this is the wrong way round.. at higher speeds you would want the wheels steering in the same direction for stability, whereas at lower speed the front and rear wheels to steer opposite each other for increased manoeuvrability.

I saw plenty of the Midnight Cherry Red and Quicksilver Model Y recently on a trip to Iceland. Quicksilver would be the colour I would go for. At night / in the dark it looks more of a matte or satin finish, whereas in the light it is bright and shiny.

Everytime I go past TC SC it's full of delivery vans. Luckily it's a SC that I'm never likely to use as I only live 5 mins away and can charge at home.

2024.2.6 has anyone else noticed the map auto zoom not working as it used to, ie not zooming in at lower speeds? Mine seems to be zoomed right out all the time. Pinching to zoom in works, and it will stay in place but if I press the recentre button at the top left it zooms back out.

I presume so.. clicking through to MyOVO from the Indra app shows the cost for November at around £35 (we signed up mid Nov) to just £7.50 in December.

I've binned the charge anytime app off and I am using the Indra kaluza web app instead. I used the charge anytime app twice.. 1 time it worked, the second time failed to charge. Using the Indra Kaluza has been faultless so far.

I've not seen the supercharger network this empty before..

Have you ever fitted a tempered glass screen protector to your mobile phone? It's exactly the same as that except on a larger scale. Removal is simple once you have it lifted at one corner slightly, the glue is not that strong and the protector will come off easily. Be careful near the cracked...

Look at my original post.. I said the HFPA looks worse with dark mode enabled.. nothing about the cameras or indeed night time. All the posts online I have seen about the HFPA have been with the light mode and white background, which I don't think looks too bad. My car only updated this morning...

Dark mode doesn't necessarily mean it's dark outside. I have the display set in dark mode all the time, same with my phone.

Just moved the Tesla to access my other car in front. I think HFPA looks worse with dark mode on tbh.

Just tried to open the boot.. the lid opened about an inch then shut again. The climate has been running for about 15 mins at 22c, but there is visible frozen water droplets on the boot lid so I am presuming it's stuck frozen rather than faulty. What's the best way to defrost / free it off to open?

I missed the turning for the Michaelwood chargers in the dark and drove right to the end of the services.. had to drive back down the wrong way as I needed to charge there. On the plus point by the time you've hiked to the services and back the car is fully charged 🤣

On 32.7.. tonight the performance of the auto wipers is by far the worst I have experienced since having the car.. simply refusing to wipe in the dark, not just with the fine rain mist but big full fat rain drops!

I had this issue going along the A55 North Wales last weekend on the previous .6 FW. However I attributed it to the bleak sky (weather was appalling) and possible lack of GPS signal?

I've found that after a reset (2 finger or after software upgrade), I need to unplug and replug my SSD in the glovebox before the car will recognise it and start recording.
