Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
On a side note.... If you are getting your whole car PPF for $3600, that's not a bad deal. If it's just a vinyl wrap then never mind that's around some of the prices I have seen.
When I got my i3 tinted, I just went for cheap because I didn't want to spend a lot. My issue was there was a lot of dust/lint under the tint along with bubbles. The tint doesn't go to the edge on some of the side windows. This was years ago at their San Leandro shop, I think I paid $300? Also I...
Normally I wouldn't pay just because of the ghosting issue but my windshield was cracked so I figure why not use my glass coverage to get it replaced. $1000 deductible but the quote without it was about $2500. I have GAP on my auto loan and they reimburse me for I think 5 claims for up to $1000...
I sadly had to get my windshield replaced recently and that was one of the questions I had at the SC. They weren't sure if the issue would go away but they said I got the latest version. The only good thing from replacing my windshield is that the ghosting is gone for me. It was sometimes hard...
It can always be a lot worse. I think on one of the Facebook groups a guy posted about his insurance increase to I think $700 per month, it was $400 something before. That was from Tesla insurance and he said no other company would insure him due to his record. That's basically a second car...
I use to have an i3 REX! I miss that little car, unfortunately it was totaled and that's how I got a Tesla. I would get a 100D, I ended up with a used 75D since it has FUSC. If the 2017 car has the MCU2 Upgrade and AP2 (cameras on the side fenders) it is going to be similar between the two years.
When I had Geico, they quoted me I think like $400-500 per month when I got my M3P. I went with Tesla and it was like $150ish? It slowly went up but I sold the 3 and got a MX75D and the rate is actually very similar. I was actually shocked that the insurance rate was basically the same.
I use to have a M3P with the phone as a key. It worked most of the time but a lot of times I had to pull out my iphone and unlock my iphone and wait a few seconds for the car to open up. It was great not having to forget my car key as long as I had my phone and it was charged. I sold the M3P and...
My service center has been telling me it will take a few days so I have been putting it off since I use my car daily. I want to upgrade to MCU2 but not want to be without a car for a few days. Maybe I will check with them again next week or so.
I would just try to find a 2017 MS you like and then factor in the MCU2 upgrade cost into it. You might be able to talk the selling price down since some of the screens might be bubbling/leaking already.
Really? I think you are the one who requires citation and your statement appears to be untrue. I'll make it easy, provide me with proof of a 2018 Tesla with Free Supercharging for Life that's tied to the car and not the owner's account that is transferable. I'm not talking about shady things...
Hey, I just had an experience picking up a used Model X with FUSC from the seller really late at night. I added the car to the Tesla app and took a picture of my ID and Bill of Sale and about 30 minutes later the car was in my app.
Free supercharging is tied to the owner on the 2018 cars and it won't transfer when you sell it. You can always hand over your Tesla account to the new owner but that's up to you.
I was considering place my car on eBay motors. My fear was that the car gets there in the same condition but then the buyer complains about something and tries to get me to give some money back or having to get the car shipped back to me.
It's a door sill protector. It wasn't expensive and it was something to help protect that area when people are entering and exiting the car.

Hi Everyone,
I am on a search for another car and I am looking at some of the old 2016/early 2017 Model S cars since they have FUSC. The mileage on the car vary a lot from around 50-80K and I have seen some with 150K. I have tried to search and read about some of the high mileage cars but I...
Thanks for the reply! It was just weird that when I first posted the ad, it didn't get flagged but when I went back to edit to add pictures then it got flagged. I was just confused since its been a few days and thought my post got stuck in the matrix. Have a good weekend!
Hey I have an M3P in MSM with 45XXX miles. I have lowered the price but it's still more than what you are looking for, the ad is pending a mod approval. I'm in the East Bay.
2019 MSM Model 3 Performance with FSD $43K Bay Area
I went to Mr Tint and was very happy with the job that they did on my M3P. When I had my BMW I3, I didn't do research and went to Jet Black, horrible experience there. Mr Tint might be a little bit more expensive than others but I felt comfortable with the price since they tint a ton of Teslas...
