    Cold Weather Chicago?

Hey, i am charging on 240V/16A, about 3.8kW, would that be enough for battery heater and charging in -20 degree (your scenario)? I m from MN 😆 Btw, this is a good read, thx for sharing 🙏

    Delivery gone wrong

You should report the issue thru the "Service Request" soon. For a new car, there is a 3-day window/100-mile for reporting all cosmetic related issues. Once they approve your request, they should be able to fix the scratches with mobile services (not 100% sure), so you don't even need to drive...

    New (hw4) Y vs used 2020 or 21 Y Pros and Cons

Thanks for sharing. What did your screen show when you hit the curb? Did it show any red lines around your car? That's one thing I am being cautious about when I parallel park, thus it's taking me much longer to park with my new 23MY

Should I remove my tint before?

Would you be able to post a picture sharing the damage, so that we know how it looks and what to watch for in ours as well, Thanks.

End of lease inspection, repair & payment

i would normal wear and tear should be waived, and tires are definitely one of the them. Not sure why Tesla would expect new conditions for them, unless they have the expected thread life exactly listed in your lease. Thanks for sharing and keep us updated how it goes.

My 2023 Model Y doesn't have "Passenger airbag off" button

After searching and trying out different things, have found the answers for some. 1. The disable button is longer available in 23 MY 2. The indicator "Passenger Airbag Off" is always ON by default 3. For under 150lb passengers, we can have the passenger airbag ON by inserting an aluminum foil...

My 2023 Model Y doesn't have "Passenger airbag off" button

Would the "Passenger Airbag Off" indicator still come on by default, when the passenger seat is empty while i am driving alone?

My 2023 Model Y doesn't have "Passenger airbag off" button

No, my wife is around 140 lb, and weirdly, it came on even when I start up the car with nothing on the seat, and then I also sat on it myself, and it didn't go away. So, something is wrong there. Another question - I can't find the "Disable Passenger Airbag" button under the "Safety" section...

My 2023 Model Y doesn't have "Passenger airbag off" button

Following the user manual, we can't locate the button to turn off "passenger airbag" under "control/Safety" menu. Did it get removed in 2023?? Long story short, we are troubleshooting the "Passenger airbag off" when my wife was in the passenger tonight. We are wondering if that's due to we...

    Model Y - HW4 - Camera Issue

Most importantly, Thanks to OP for sharing 👏, and this is exactly what these forums being here for. 1) OP simply points out a possible defect (could be a lemon in his case, who knows), as this topic says, so it clearly has nothing to do with his driving skills 2) If the reported defect does...

Interesting question about Scheduled Departure saving per location

Well, we have tried that. We both had it off in our apps when the car was at home, so we thought everything was good. But it got turned back on when the car went back to work place. Also, we changed the set time one time, but it got reverted back to the old time on the next day though, which...

Interesting question about Scheduled Departure saving per location

Hi, I know that the "scheduled departure preconditioning battery" would save the location automatically - so that it would automatically turn on when you are in that location. So far I have 2 locations saved for that - one for home and the other one for work. However, I can't find anything...

Car plugged in, but not being charged, making noise and heat??

They should have a garage mode - becoz i am afraid it will fall into bad cycle in an enclosed garage, the car keeps trying to cool down the interior by running the fans which pumping out the hot air inside the garage keepng the garage temp high. Well, i m a noob to Tesla, so i will embrace...

Car plugged in, but not being charged, making noise and heat??

Nope, no sentry mode, no prevent cabin overheat mode, nada. Then i found a youtube guy complaining about the same issues and he tracked it down to the some kinda pump running underneath the passenger side of the hood, for the 2023 Model Y. And that got triggered by me simply turning on my...

Car plugged in, but not being charged, making noise and heat??

Thanks, but the car wasn't driven at all today. But my garage temp is indeed quite high, according to the app, the interior is at 79 degree and the exterior is at 78 degree. Is that why the car is trying to cool down the battery? By blowing the hot air out to the exterior, but with the car...

Car plugged in, but not being charged, making noise and heat??

Spending my first night with my brand new MYLR, car is plugged but we had the departure time scheduled in 13 hours though, so it's not being charged at the moment. However, I am noticing the car is making "woosh woosh" noises and it also seems to be blowing out warm air because I can feel...

MPH charging speeds for mobile connector 14-50 at 32 amps

Thanks for your input. That's why I would stay with the Toyota OEM charger which is limited at 12A, so I should be facing 44A max when charging both at the same time. But I will try avoiding hitting that max limit by charging them at different scheduled times, or charging them at a lower amp...

MPH charging speeds for mobile connector 14-50 at 32 amps

A noob question for new Y owner : I have got the mobile connector which draws 32A max, right? And I also have a Toyota Prime, and its charger only draws 12A max. So, would it be safe to run them both on a dedicated 50A circuit (since the 32A+12A < 50A) ?? Would it run into any risks of fire?
