    Supercharger - Pacific Grove, CA (LIVE 12 Apr 2024, 12 V3 stalls)

Nice to see it's finally open! Hope that will lessen Monterey and Sand City Supercharger a little bit, though they're never really full.

"Pop/Bang" Sound While Driving (not pre-conditioning)

Sounds normal then and probably not worth taking it to service if service estimate is $240?

"Pop/Bang" Sound While Driving (not pre-conditioning)

    Says while charging though?

"Pop/Bang" Sound While Driving (not pre-conditioning)

Appointment is on Saturday - got a quote of $240 for diagnostics. Chances of me paying for the diagnostic might be high if some say this is normal occurrence?

"Pop/Bang" Sound While Driving (not pre-conditioning)

Interesting - so I guess I should just take it as normal and expect it to happen all the time regardless of temperature and/or pre-conditioning. I don't precondition either - just get in the car and go to work around 8am in the morning - about 10-15 min in, one loud "pop". In motion. I...

"Pop/Bang" Sound While Driving (not pre-conditioning)

What temperature do you get it at? I'm in California and outside temperature right now ranges from 45-60*F.

"Pop/Bang" Sound While Driving (not pre-conditioning)

Not suspension - or at least I don't think it is. To me, it sounds more like the battery enclosure expanding/contracting, even though it's not navigating to a supercharger or charging. Just a loud "pop" after about 10 mile/15 min of driving getting to/from work each day.

"Pop/Bang" Sound While Driving (not pre-conditioning)

Anyone have any comment on the issue? Or am I a one off situation?

Tax credit 2023 [The tax credit discussion thread]

Correct, I personally do not have enough tax liability to take advantage of two (2) $7,500 credit when I co-signed a Model Y LR in December 2023. I would have probably lost half of the second credit if Tesla did not fix the issue (secondary registrant; fixed in mid-January 2024).

"Pop/Bang" Sound While Driving (not pre-conditioning)

Is it normal for the 2023 Tesla Model Y LR to have loud pop/bang sound after about 15 minute (~10 miles) of driving? The Model Y is not navigating to a supercharger. Never had that sound when driving a 2023 Tesla Model 3 RWD LFP or 2021 VW ID.4. Only had pop/bangs when charging on previous...

TuxMat or 3d Maxpider/LCDS Floormats for Model Y?

If you want a lot of coverage, then Tuxmat is probably the way to go. For the price/value, I would say Lasfit: https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/lasfit-product-reviews.308389/page-5#post-7974278

Tax credit 2023 [The tax credit discussion thread]

Model 3 purchased early in February 2023, still no form. Model Y purchased in December 2023 has the form after delivery.

Holiday travel availability / congestion at CA Superchargers; possible solutions, complaints, comments, discussion

On 12/25/23 (Christmas Day), Baker, CA power was completely out; many drivers were diverted to Yermo and Primm for traveling to/from Vegas... Long wait time at chargers and Yermo was slow - at least the charger I was on.

Modern Spare for Model 3 on Model Y?

Same question - anyone know if a spare tire made for Model 3 fits on Model Y? I recently sold my Model 3 and have the spare tire still - looking for a spare tire option for the Model Y.

Tax credit 2023 [The tax credit discussion thread]

Wanted to take advantage of the full tax credit with the co-applicant.. didn't realize Tesla was submitting just with my SSN/name. Main issue is that I already have a $7,500 tax credit from the February 2023 purchase; this is an additional one, but I believe my income do have sufficient tax...

Tax credit 2023 [The tax credit discussion thread]

For the most recent Tesla Model Y purchased that came with the IRA 15400 form - can the co-registered owner claim it instead of myself? The title application was co-applicant ("or title"), and I personally didn't know that if I was the main applicant, the IRA 15400 form would have been submitted...

    Lasfit Product Reviews

Just got the Lasfit floor mats + trunk mat for my new Model Y just in time for the California rain! Swapped out the carpet mats for the rubber mats from Lasfit. As usual, the mats are great fit and excellent quality. Definitely have more coverage than the carpet floor mats it came with.

Took Delivery Today... But Have Question on Payment

I picked up the Model Y LR today and mentioned to the check-in staff that I used my old bank account that was closed (by Robinhood, due to change in cash management) when I tapped "Pay" by accident in the app before delivery. I did go to a local bank and purchased a cashier check and gave it to...

Tax credit 2023 [The tax credit discussion thread]

Just picked up a Tesla Model Y Long Range today and the glovebox have an IRA Credit Report (Form 15400) in there after taking delivery of the vehicle. However, the Model 3 RWD I purchased in February 2023 doesn't have it...

    November/December Waiting Room

Got a text to schedule pickup - only have option to choose Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday and I work on weekdays... The delivery center is 1.5 hours away. Any chance of them allowing Saturday pickup?

    November/December Waiting Room

Ordered inventory Model Y LR on 12/8, still waiting for delivery - EDD was 12/9-12/16. I'm guessing the hold up is my trade in - the 2023 Tesla Model 3 RWD with 12K miles. Not sure how much I can get for it from Tesla.

Need some insight for Alameda County and purchasing a Tesla

With the insane rates from PG&E, sometimes it can cost more to drive an electric vehicle than a hybrid in California. As for incentives, CVRP $2,000 is out of funds; not much state incentives I think. PG&E has a decent website that gathers some incentive info: EV Savings Calculator - PG&E

Might be worth considering getting a different cover that overlaps the edges of the wheels.

Sponsored Review: LASFIT Portable Cordless Tire Inflator

Just received the LASFIT Portable Cordless Tire Inflator - initial impression is that it's pretty hefty and compact, great to throw in the arm rest cubby, under the floor, the trunk - depending on the vehicle. Awesome little tire inflator to have with you just in case and doesn't require a 12V...

Does 2023 M3 RWD come with floor mats (Seattle)?

RWD = no floor mats; just buy one from Amazon or Tesla directly. AWD or Performance = comes with floor mats.

    Lasfit Product Reviews

Instead of creating a new post, I also wanted to share my long-term experience with the Lasfit floor mats. Why did I go with Lasfit as opposed to other brands? I previously had Lasfit products in my other vehicles (VW ID.4 and Ford Maverick) - all the products from Lasfit seems to last and high...

20000 new Tesla chargers at Hilton

It would be nice if these are complimentary chargers... but as with some Hilton or Hampton Inn, most seem to be using Chargepoint that requires payment.
