2024 Model 3 Performance Announced - Discussion thread post announcement

Refreshed MS LR will do 60-90mph in ~2.5s, this seems to do it in ~3s

2024 Model 3 Performance Announced - Discussion thread post announcement

My guess is it will hit a wall at around 90mph whereas before it was at 60-70mph. The new drive units are capable of nearly 700hp altogether but battery constraints… Wonder if they’ll refresh the battery soon after this first iteration.

2024 Model 3 Performance Announced - Discussion thread post announcement

Agreed. I was excited about the potential to 'downgrade' from my 2023 MSP to the new Model 3 Ludicrous - oh wait, it isn't a Ludicrous at all. It's just a Model 3 Performance with a... ludicrous badge?

2024 Model 3 Performance Announced - Discussion thread post announcement

2.9 is great, but it just doesn't make sense as to why it's being advertised with a Ludicrous badge with no actual mention of 'ludicrous' name anywhere - I mean 'ludicrous' is right below Plaid, right? Remmber the S P85D, P90D, and P100D with Ludicrous Mode making 0-60mph times of 2.5-2.8...

2024 Model 3 Performance Announced - Discussion thread post announcement

LOL my thoughts exactly. Why is it a ludicrous badge if the acceleration mode is called Insane? It's not a coincidence that Tesla never mentions "Ludicrous" anywhere in the name. Remember when we first saw this? That's what they were going with, Ludicrous badge but still "DUAL MOTOR". Sheesh...

2024 Model 3 Performance Announced - Discussion thread post announcement

Agree completely with this thinking -- the car is not fully baked and it clearly shows if you look hard enough. But, will these 'ludicrous' nameworthy updates to the M3P come at a new price point (i.e. a new battery pack, loss of EV rebate) or will it be an OTA update? Will first-iteration Model...

2024 Model 3 Performance Announced - Discussion thread post announcement

YES! I think this is 100% the case - I've been thinking all along, there's a Ludicrous badge but NO MENTION of 'ludicrous' anywhere. Even the acceleration mode is called 'insane' - why? This first iteration of the Model 3 Performance is NOT the final stage of this car and it will be refreshed...

    Alignment Shop in Houston TX

Whoa. I’m doing the same research this morning. EVS Motorsports has been my go-to, but they aren’t open until after the New Year. Best of luck! Let me know if you find someone else.

Model S Plaid: All-Seasons and performance (0-60, 60-130, traction, etc.)

Howdy y'all -- I've looked through most posts here mentioning all-season tires on their S Plaids/LRs -- always questions about fitment, sizes, range/efficiency, etc. but I'm only curious about the changes in PERFORMANCE! Context: I am currently on the stock 19" Tempests (with the P Zeros) on...
