Show off your aftermarket Model X wheels...

Well, here goes nothing..... 20x11 et35 up front, and 20x12 et22 in the rear ordered, and getting custom drilled now. Now to find tires while I wait. ^Winter wheels/tires coming off and going to storage until the next flurry season.

I'm still holding the "bag" when it comes to RIDE stock (Lordstown Motors). They at least seemingly had a good business model starting off. But as we are seeing with Fisker, these early EV startups are finding success hard to come by.

Anyone running 275s in the front?

Your tires are taller than mine. I wanted to run wider and more low profile. The half inch difference in height would show a lot more with stock links. If we measure our cars you would see mine is definitely lower (bodywise) to the ground.

I would assume more expensive than being about to shop around for a better rate. And even in the UK there is Lender Placed Hazard protection or Collateral Protection Insurance, that lenders can utilize. Regardless of the country, lenders want some form of protection.

I would assume the financing company would provide the insurance via their own means.

That form was included in my Turbotax filing. But like you mentioned, my assumption is Colorado didn't get the MVPA, or my registration (oddly enough). So hopefully my documents get reviewed quickly, as I already earmarked those funds 😁

What you described, sounds about right. I couldn't attach any additional docs. But the Fed paid out the $7500 without the same missing docs which is somewhat odd. I have since submitted a "Protest" with all the required information. Not sure the timeline on that process.

Just received my Colorado tax refund, and it looks like the $5k EV credit wasn't with the deposit, although it showed up on my Tax Form. Any ideas or experience with the credit?

Correct the my selected tire size is undersized compared to OEM. But I was more concerned with the load rating of the tires, and they are within spec. And I just went off a comment on this site where someone reached out to the manufacturer and confirmed they would work.

10.5 Square. I "plan" to have a summer set of wheels/tires. Still debating on if I can run a staggered 20x11, 20x12 setup. But I still have time to research.

Any EV Tax Credit Gurus or Accountants?

Something is being lost in the back and forth. I already have my refreshed 23 MX before the pricing change. I was responding to you saying the MX is no longer available for the Tax Credit. I was just clarifying a "Base" (no options added) MX is still eligible for the credit.

Just curious how long it took Tesla to send your Registration documents in, and how long after purchase you were able to go in and get plates. My temp tags run out Jan 17, 2024. Purchase date Nov 20th. Thanks!

I've bought more wheel and tire combos than I care to remember, and it's rare I run into this issue, especially with new wheels. So honestly wasn't expecting to run into a problem. In the future, I'll be sure to pay more attention to the barrel design. Most wheels don't have that step.

I got them from JNC directly. And there were no vehicle specific references. But yeh, the inner lip is the issue. Now to hopefully flip them on Marketplace.

Nope. JNC026’s. Didn’t realize the inner lip would cause an issue. And I can’t return them.

2023 Plaid "Refresh" Lowering Links / Spacers 22" Wheels

One thing I just noticed with my aftermarket wheels and tires, is they are a much lower profile than stock, which means I may need to use a lower setting than intended to make up for the lower tire profile.

In their defense, they did mention "any brand new engineering techniques". The air suspension in the Tesla and other makes has been around for 20+ years on OEM's. The hydraulic suspension Porsche is showing above isn't as widely adopted by OEM's (yet). That said, I wouldn't need 3 generations to...
