    <2021 PTC Heater Availability UK

Update. It took about a week of 80 miles a day to stop smelling like burning oil/plastic. Now it's back to just doing the job well enough that you never notice it. Good old Tesla, not a bad place to have done 10k miles in the last 5 months

    <2021 PTC Heater Availability UK

Perfect reminder to update here. Got my new heater fitted by Tesla yesterday. Finally, it feels like an absolute age but actually 6 weeks ish.. it could have been worse The new heater smells like a new hair dryer at the moment, generally fills the cabin with the smell of burning plastic every...

    [UK] 2023.44

Mine is on the latest software. Did a 500 mile motorway run. Noticed motorway speed cameras are not shown on nav but road works cameras are. Annoying, showing 'some' cameras is worse than none! Back to Waze on my phone for long drives. I like the audible warnings. Also, nice to hear the...

Wiki UK and Ireland Supercharger Site News

Another vote for this. I'd like a setting or slider. Target battery % at charging stop: 5% min to say 60% max Also, to be able to set departure times for multiple stops on a trip. Currently if I set a trip to a destination and home it will assume I arrive at my destination and then immediately...

It was a nice place to stop for a cup of tea too. Very traditional/friendly service.

The superchargers at Lifton have been upgraded to the latest V4 chargers (first time I've seen one). Photos are all old on the map: Lifton United Kingdom PL16 0AA

Real world range is possible :-O

If a 2021 Model 3, heat pump equipped car, on Tesla spec T0 tyres can achieve 317 Wh/mile (200/(82.5*0.9*0.8)) real world at 70mph cruise, then I can just upgrade to a slightly newer version of the car I know and love.. hence why I was reading this thread, but that needs to be in UK winter.

Real world range is possible :-O

The car says 85% battery health. I do the same 250mile (each way) drive most weekends. From 100% charge it automatically takes me to the same Supercharger 130 miles away every time. I guess battery percentage varies depending on efficiency of that day but not uncommon for me to be at 20% (at the...

Real world range is possible :-O

Hmmm my 2019 M3P does 310Wh/mi in summer, and is doing 355Wh/mi now in mid December. At a constant 70mph cruise. Scratches head. If I could do 200 miles between 20-80% charge that would be amazing. Even 200miles starting from 100% and running to 20% but I'm getting more like 130 miles in winter...

    2023 Holiday Update

A couple of these are really exciting for me. Speed cameras on nav means no longer running my phone nav in parallel and being able to use the trip planner in the mobile app would be a fantastic upgrade. Especially if driving in convoy with someone/meeting people, I want to see in advance where...

Oooh dear. This does not inspire great hope. That tequila is sounding pretty good right now.

    <2021 PTC Heater Availability UK

My PTC heater has been diagnosed faulty by Tesla and compared to their usual instant service booking response they've gone suspiciously quiet about booking an appointment to fix it? Is there a known waiting list for this part, how bad "it's freakin' cold out here Mr Bigglesworth" do I need to...

    Tesla Plaid 2021

Has anyone tried a track day/blast down a favourite road? I'm feeling the Tesla love here too, but I keep thinking about where to go next, a possible Model S upgrade. I chose a Model 3 Performance because I enjoy the odd track day and extended enthusiastic drive. I need a car that can take a...

    Tesla Alternative?

There seems to be a lot of anger popping up here. Sad to see. I have a lot of gratitude for the fact the Model 3 exists (I can't think of another car I could replace it with). I love my M3P and it's really the worst one. 2019 with the smallest battery, no heat pump for efficiency like the 2021...

Model 3 Challenge 2023 Concluding Event – Laguna Seca!

I love it, my god that thing has got some front end! I cannot believe how late he's turning in to some of those bends!

2018 Long Range won't perform Battery Health test in service mode.

I don't know where's the best place to post this but I had trouble running this test too and having never done it before quickly lost confidence. I have now successfully completed it and can make the following notes (much of which is written above but it didn't give me confidence I wasn't doing...

    UK FSD Discussion

I'm interested to hear the responses, but does your car change lanes automatically to overtake? If not then I noticed there are additional purchase options for this and other features in the UK. It's possible collision avoidance is bundled with one of these. Also, disappointed that my Tesla...

    Creaking noise

I have a 2019 Model 3 Performance 60k miles old. The car has had a creaking when gently stopping, pulling away and sharp bumps/turn in the road. Found to be this by tesla service (ignore sensationalist headline): https://insideevs.com/news/438005/upper-control-arm-chronic-defect-model-3/...

Well now that's interesting, because when I use the Tesla app it shows greyed out. No service centres in mk. I even zoomed thw map out quite far! It lists only two sales centres

    More Satnav user options

I would be able to influence the route more as you can with other Nav systems. Sliding the scale between shortest or fastest routes for example. As well as seeing multiple charging options so I can say this charger is more in the direction I want to head, or I'd rather have more/less charge...

Faster recovery from dip beam on automatic headlights

Can I add to this a menu toggle to allow manual control of the high beam in addition to the auto dip. My 2019 Model 3P auto dips for signs and reflective bollards, on bendy roads in the dark countryside this is quite unnerving when you suddenly lose a lot of your vision range entering sharp...

    Tesla Alternative?

Authentication with an app and then the car pairing with the charger definitely adds a couple of minutes of faff before charging that isn't present with Tesla. A lot of the newer chargers allow tap and pay without app sign-up just NFC with your bank card/phone/watch. That has improved things, I...

    Tesla Alternative?

So I've skipped to the end instead of reading like a good new forum member.. but having come from a BMW EV to a Tesla, if you need to use the national network more than very infrequently and don't just charge at home. Any other EV is a significant downgrade due to the charging network and cost...

    Tesla Repair in UK?

Hi all, I've had my Model 3 Performance a couple of months now. I wanted to hate it with every fibre of my Petrol head body, but ..well I don't need to tell you. You own them. One issue I am finding is, there are no Tesla service centres around Milton Keynes in the UK? The car has a creaking...
