EDD update: now 12/11 - 1/22. Much better but still 50/50 shot at the $7,500 tax rebate this year.

Instead of being a reject it could have just been someone who decided they didn’t want the deal after all.

Tesla is mighty optimistic about deliveries since their online configurator still shows “Est. Delivery: Nov-Dec 2023”….maybe there is still hope of getting that tax credit in 2023. lol, smh

@SabrToothSqrl if it helps any at all, I don’t have anyone who ordered after 9/7 that has reported taking delivery except @coch who I suspect took one from inventory. Also, only 2 orders after 9/7 (9/10 & 9/21 Plaids) show getting a VIN. I show orders placed after 9/7 with EDD ranges starting...

Not sure I am following with the incentives? Can you explain what incentives you are talking about? Also, I imagine if you reject, they will pull up the next person in line with that spec and pass it along. But then again, I could be wrong.

Only @SOBX MX who ordered 9/21 and got a VIN on 10/5.

I can only hope it will get us a “guesstimate”. Of the 120 orders in this thread, 95 of them were placed on of before 9/10. That leaves only 25 of us that ordered 9/11 or later. The 25 orders have EDD windows that open 10/29 and the latest don’t close out until 2/11. Everyone keep your hopes...

Looking at the data points we have, everyone in FL that ordered on 9/1 and 9/2 have taken delivery. Only other people in FL with orders besides you are @backunit who ordered a plaid on 9/4 and got a VIN on 10/12 with a EDD range of 10/23-10/30, and @Dsuslavi who ordered the tax credit version...

I agree with that assessment. Anyone (15 people) west of the rockies is averaging 3 days from VIN to delivery.

Looking at the info provided by others so far, people in the NE/Mid Atlantic area took delivery @12 days (on avg) after they received their VIN. Can’t say how soon after they got the VIN they were allowed to schedule delivery, but they at is when they took delivery. Longest some one waited was...

I wish I could but I dont have specifics. From what I do understand, there will likely be a reduction in the $7,500 in how much the X qualifies for based on the battery composition. Also, starting 1/1, the rebate comes off the price at the dealership rather than having to wait until tax time...

I’ve been talking to my CU and their rates are only valid for 60 days. The beginning of my EDD is barely in that range, so I am going to have to just hold off and either wait until I get a VIN, or just refinance after I take delivery.

Which state are you located in? You ordered 2 days before me, but your EDD is about a week behind mine.

It is interesting to note that everyone here that has taken delivery has taken it, on average, either on the first day of the final EDD or within the next day. WIll be interesting to see how that plays out as more of the production X’s get delivered rather than inventory ones.

We ordered on 10/7. Will be curious to see if we get it before 12/31 or what they will actually do after that.

Just checked the app and EDD went from Nov-Dec to 12/13-2/7. That $7,500 tax rebate is looking kinda iffy.

So far we have 118 people that have ordered X’s and reported thru this thread, and of those only 24 have put info into the tracking spreadsheet, so I really do appreciate everyone that has been providing information thru this thread.
