    Yet another 2023 Model Y road-trip experience

I haven't done a road trip since this one so memory is a bit foggy, but the SOC estimates were pretty spot-on, within 1-2% of estimated. I was just new to the Tesla for the trip so I had some range anxiety as I mentioned. I think it said at 84% I would arrive at the next supercharger with...

Why you should skip the powered frunk and grab a Satonic soft close frunk

When you say the auto-reclose isn't working, does it not attempt to pull down the hood after 90 seconds, or does it try to close but the factory latch misses grabbing the hood striker since it's sitting up too high? Maybe I just got lucky and the auto-close function is working well on mine...

Flufferbot, 'Hollowgate' and the hollow floor noise

Please let us know what the repair process is and if they agree to cover under warranty. I have it too on my 23MYLR but I have 2 car seats back there so right now it's only young kids that ever use the back seat and getting them in and out there's not enough weight to actually make it happen...

Did Tesla take away enhanced autopilot subscription?

I don’t think it’s true that Enhanced Autopilot is “unavailable” but there are certain feature within EAP that are not, specifically Auto-Park, Summon, and Smart Summon. You should still have the Navigate on Autopilot feature and Auto Lane Change. I agree with you it is definitely a little bit...

Why you should skip the powered frunk and grab a Satonic soft close frunk

I’m still working on the video just to show how my version handles the failures, but I had thought about adding another failsafe of trying to splice some wires directly into the motor connections and running them to the tow eye cover with the factory frunk release cables. They would be connected...

Why you should skip the powered frunk and grab a Satonic soft close frunk

I took some time tonight to tear everything back apart and run some tests on my soft-close unit - short version of the story is its good news with the version I have! I keep mentioning Tlyard because it's easy to lookup - but in reality, mine was purchased directly from AE and is labeled as the...

Why you should skip the powered frunk and grab a Satonic soft close frunk

So I’m was also a bit scared myself but I went ahead with the installation anyway this afternoon for a few reasons. I have the Tlyard version of the mechanism which has the motor integrated with the body of the mechanism. You connect the small cable from the motor to the factory switch and when...

Why you should skip the powered frunk and grab a Satonic soft close frunk

Really looking forward to any more info on this. My soft close kit was just delivered today so I would love to hear what you find out so perhaps I can avoid the same issues when I install. I bought the Tlyard version so slightly different than the Satonic but I’m sure there’s an overlap with...

Using FSD for 3 months - Is my experience typical?

Same frustration here - I don't need the "automatic" lane change where it decides for you, but I definitely miss the ability to just click the turn signal and have the car execute the lane change for me. Unfortunately, that functionality appears to be bundled with the EAP package. For highway...

Using FSD for 3 months - Is my experience typical?

I think your experience closely matches mine. My FSDb trial expired yesterday and I’m both sad and relieved. I’m obsessed with technology so whenever I was in the car during the first 3 months I would always want to experiment with FSD and activate it. I quickly learned that, while it is...

No private podcasts in Apple Podcasts app?

I have not had a chance to use the new Tesla Apple Podcast app, but in regard to Skip Back/Forward I found there is a setting for the Podcast app on the phone to manipulate what action external controls perform when connected via Bluetooth. I was fed-up with having the steering wheel controls...

    FSD Beta v11.x

I have a 2023 HW4 Model Y and I received 2023.44.30.4 on Wednesday. Took it for a spin yesterday and FSDb 11.4.9 worked really well, although in a pretty easy environment of a long stretch of 45-55 mph divided highway with traffic lights. I think the braking and acceleration is improved from...

360!?!? So 30 miles MORE than rated at 100%?

Your car software up to date as of…

I was seeing that when I was on factory firmware 2023.32.100 (actually on that firmware it could go several days without checking). Since I've received 2023.38 (and now 2023.44.1) it seems to limit the check to something like once every 24 hours. I wonder if you hit the software tab after 11am...

    FSD Beta v11.x

I hope so, based on TeslaFi stats it looks like still only 10 HW4 Model Ys received 30.1 and zero have received 30.2.

Did Tesla take away enhanced autopilot subscription?

Especially since only 2 of the 5 EAP features are actually even enabled on cars built after Nov 2022, with AutoPark, Summon, and Smart Summon listed as "comming soon" since then. Currently I'm on a 3-month FSD trial and the only nice feature that I'll miss is the auto lane change. I would gladly...

Tesla recalls 2 million vehicles to limit use of Autopilot

That's totally fair - I guess my comments were more around capabilities of Basic AP compared to other L2 ADAS systems, specifically thinking BlueCruise which very prominently touts that it enables totally hands-free driving in certain "zones". I'm just theorizing that Tesla could (and may...

Tesla recalls 2 million vehicles to limit use of Autopilot

I have no idea about how Basic AP "rules" are implemented today, but with all of the Tesla AI do they not implement some logic for an "AP confidence score" based on the available cameras and other sensors? Maybe it already does or has always worked that way? In other words, driver looking ahead...

Tesla recalls 2 million vehicles to limit use of Autopilot

This is slightly incorrect just on the pricing. If you purchased Enhanced AP (currently $6k USD) you can enabled the FSD features via subscription for $99/month. If you did not purchase EAP, you can enable FSD (which includes all the EAP features) for $199/month. There is no option (that I am...

    Yet another 2023 Model Y road-trip experience

A little bit more experience/confidence on my part and this definitely would have made a big difference. On my return trip the Nav routed me to a supercharger that was only 10mi away from where I stopped on my way up that was in a much less busy area and is also a V3 250kW model. I would have...

Pay on delivery day after inspection?

I can only share my experiences from delivery in October in Alpharetta, GA. I was allowed to look around the outside of the car for as long as I wanted before payment as some service folks there did a quick exterior delivery prep (cleaned the windows, hit some water spots with quick detailer...

    Yet another 2023 Model Y road-trip experience

Thanks for the feedback: - On item #1 you're absolutely correct, the navigation notified me at 84% charge that I could leave and reach the next supercharger stop. There was no reason to top-up that extra 6% (at a slow charge speed) but being my first supercharging experience, I let some range...

    Yet another 2023 Model Y road-trip experience

Thanks for that info! I have noticed the chevrons before, but I guess never made the connection that it was to indicate a speed adjustment. I'll have to pay closer attention over the next few weeks while I still have my FSD subscription. I don't think there is any indicator on Basic AP with just...

    Yet another 2023 Model Y road-trip experience

Autopilot To expand on the above, wanted to share my FSDb/Autopilot experience as well. I currently have 3 months FSD as part of the purchase with a referral code, although I don’t intend at all to purchase or subscribe unless some cool new feature is released. On city streets, I find I’m more...

    Yet another 2023 Model Y road-trip experience

I just finished my first road trip and I know there are a bunch of these types of threads, but I seem to learn something new from each one, so I'll share my experiences, both good and bad. Charging I picked up my 2023 MYLR in October and this was my first long drive with supercharging...

    Firmware 2023.32.100.1

I noticed that on some release notes on the Notateslaapp.com site on the release notes for 2023.44 Speed Assist is that it's not relevant to the United States. Is the Tesla actually going off reading speed limit signs in the US or just based on the configured GPS speeds in their maps? I know...

My M3 is on software ver 2023.32.100 which hasn't updated in over 2 mos

I think 11.4.4 is FSD beta BUT it's not the latest version of the beta as 11.4.8.x is out there. However, these newer versions are being developed on the 2023.27.x version so the latest available for HW4 cars on software versions > 2023.27 is 11.4.4. I could be wrong about this as well but...

My M3 is on software ver 2023.32.100 which hasn't updated in over 2 mos

Just completed the install of 2023.38.9 on my MY. Installation took about 35-40 minutes based on monitoring from my phone. I'm on my 2nd month of my FSD trial and have been on the 11.4.4 beta since taking delivery 6 weeks ago. I'm hoping to get at least one FSDb update before the trial expires.

    Firmware 2023.32.100.1

Same behavior on mine, and in some cases the scroll wheel reset still doesn't initiate a check. It does seem to check-in every 2-5 days based on the "Up-to-date as of XXX" numbers I've been tracking. I've looked at the screen multiple times per day and it's only actually updated the as-of date...

My M3 is on software ver 2023.32.100 which hasn't updated in over 2 mos

I’m currently on the 3 month free FSDb trial because I purchased through a referral code. I wouldn’t think that should impact anything since I’m currently on 11.4.4 FSD which appears to also be the version shipped with the 2023.38 releases but just trying to correlate anything.

My M3 is on software ver 2023.32.100 which hasn't updated in over 2 mos

That's pretty interesting you haven't at least been bumped to 2023.32.100.1 . Picked up my MY on October 14th and that evening was notified of an update to the .1 version. Since then I haven't received any updates.

    Firmware 2023.32.100.1 Model X Plaid

Stuck on 2023.32.100.1 myself on my 2023 Model Y LR picked up October 14th. Fortunately, not seeing any of the issues that have been described here with regards to the Model X.

    Firmware 2023.32.100.1

Just also chiming in here. Picked up my Y on Oct 14th and got a software update from 32.100 to 32.100.1 the next evening. No updates after that. I can't say I've seen any obvious bugs or problems besides the usual FSD hiccups. I've still got my update preference set to "Standard". Really...
